Comments regarding Northern Lights Daylilies

I received my order of 6 single fans on April 30,2018, I had never ordered a single before and was a bit weary. These were the largest fans I've ever bought, some were 2 fans. Incredible size,as someone stated in a previous comment( I like the comparison to a corn cob) I also received 2 nice bonus plants. Im in Texas, where Spring was already underway..but never have I had fans bloom 3 weeks after planting! Exciting. Look forward to ordering from this great grower again this winter

Strong green plants and HUGE roots. Obvious they were just cut before shipping. Their prices are really reasonable, and I will definitely order from them again. Only thing is they run out of inventory early in the season, so if they have something in stock you want, you should go ahead and get it.

I received my order on 4/28 .I was amazed at the size of the fans . They are huge! Large well formed roots. Packed well, and in great shape. I was pleasantly surprised by the gift plants. Great prices and excellent service. This was my first order with Northern Lights , but it will not be my last. 10 out of 10!

I can't say enough positive things about Mike at Northern Lights Daylilies. First, I double ordered and didn't realize it, but Mike figured out which ones I double ordered and put one order together. After I straightened myself out on the payment, I received two boxes. The plants were double wrapped and looked great. The stocks on the plants were as big as corn stocks and some of the roots were a foot long!! After I went through the two boxes, I was missing some and sent Mike and email. The very next day, as if by magic, I received the third box with the missing plants. Mike was also very generous with the gifts that he included. This being my first year ordering daylilies,so I spread my order between 8 different nurseries. I have received all but one, as of today. Some were a bit disappointing, but Northern Lights is in my top two right now. I will order from them again!

I won my first auction on LA in October of 2012 from Mike Grossman. I was new to daylilies and new to the LA and I had lots of questions and made lots of mistakes.
Mike was so very patient and did whatever I asked him to do, he let me change my mind about cultivars, he gave me feedback ahead of time because I had a big fat zero beside my name. He was careful to explain the way things worked and I was happy to keep bidding, I loved his selection.

Then came spring 2013 and I got all my daylilies which I had ordered over the winter. Mike kept the payments and everything in order so all went smoothly. The single fans were big and well packed with great root systems. I know I gave feedback on LA but just wanted to mention the wonderful experience here. Thanks again Mike.

This was my first time ordering from Northern Lights. I purchased some plants off their Lily Auction listings and some directly from their website. I was expecting small single fans since they are a Northern grower, but what I received was HUGE healthy plants with generous bonus fans and additional bonus cultivators. I couldn't be happier! I will definetly be a returning customer!

I ordered from the Daylily Auction as well, and the plants I received were amazing. The "Bonus" plant bloomed less than
a month after I received it. It is absolutely beautiful.
I have over 100 cultivars, and I have NEVER received plants as large as these before. This is an outstanding vendor !

My apologizes for not getting back here sooner. Mike was very helpful over the phone. My order arrived in excellent condition. I was very pleased with everything and communication was excellent. Thank you, Pat

I purchased my lilies from here through daylily.com. I was pretty worried because I don't usually buy single fan plants. If something goes wrong you can usually save one if you buy double fans. My plants arrived looking fresh and the fans and roots systems were AMAZING. The bonus plants were just as nice as the purchased plants. I've been buying lilies for at least 7 years on the internet and I can honestly say these were the best plants I've ever received.

I was very pleased with my order from Northern Lights. Even though you receive only 1 fan, they are large, healthy plants. It was a pleasure to do business with them. I would definitely order from the company again.

Mike sends HUGE fans with amazing root systems! The number of feeder roots on these plants are astounding. Highly recommended!

I ordered from the lily auction and wasn't sure what I would get. No worry, every fan I got was large, healthy and green. The bonuses were expensive and greatly appreciated. The surprise was the length of the root systems-they were so long it was hard to get some into pots while awaiting their final garden spots. I definitely will order from him again--excellent.
