Order came 3 days ago & boxes were crushed. On November 4th, 2005, patty_in_wisc added the following: Got email today from Ruth at Harris. She told me to send the plants back for a full refund which was VERY NICE of her (of course not to be resold!). I also think she was right when she said the 'other' person may have exaggerated her tree being 5 ft. high. The box it came in was just over 4 ft!! She's a very nice person, but they should not send trees that have leafminers! Many leaves were affected & I found 3 with larvea. On the Garden Web, people say it won't hurt the tree or fruit, just take all the bad leaves off & get rid of the LM. I hear that in Fl., LM are normal (?). I decided to keep the trees as it would cost me more to ship them back, & I think I got rid of the LM but I'll have to watch...they may be in the soil. I do appreciate the quick response from Ruth! |
