It drives me nuts to pay too much for anything. The price for small seed packets can be appalling. So I ordered from Rupp's which mostly sells to farms and market growers. The packets are generally larger but most are resealable and will last 3 years or more. They have many of the popular home gardener varieties. Example - Illini Xtra Sweet Corn - 1 pound from Rupp is $10.70 (2500 seeds) and Burpee sells 800 seeds for $13.50. I realize you may not need so many seeds - so partner with someone else or give them to friends. You still pay less. Their service is excellent and my germination rate was great. These folks are used to dealing with professionals and act that way.

This company has to be among the fastest and most helpful responders to an inquiry I had.
