Ordered several Southern Shield Ferns a couple of springs ago and they have done very, very well in the hot, sunny around around my mailbox.

Wonderful company. I got a delightful vine ...Native Honeysuckle 'Major Wheeler' (Lonicera sempervirens)...love it!!

I am totally satisfied with my purchase of a Styrax Japonicus. It appears healthy, of substantial size and fullness and with a considerable rootmass contained in a three-gallon pot of rich soil material. A print-out of the planting care was included (the same that is in their website and linked-to in their email correspondence). I had the planting site prepared and simply soaked the plant in its pot for over an hour and a half (the minimum) and then planted it. I'm in Wilmington, NC and we've had alot of rain the past 10 days so the soil was moist; the sun was already blocked by trees in the late autumn afternoon so I felt it was safe to go-ahead and plant the tree in its permanent place without concern for heat-stress. The packing was fine, the UPS guy seemed to know which side was up. I ordered the tree late on a Tuesday, was emailed shortly after and informed that due to shipping time it would be shipped at beginning of following week to prevent sitting in warehouse over the weekend--understood. The correspondence continued at every step, payment, UPS pick-up and tracking number--package arrived as stated on Wed of following week at 2:00. Kudos to Dave's Garden for this incredible site that links you from queries about a specific plant to users with their experiences, to recommended vendors, to rating vendors and their users' comments; and finally to have the best 30 vendors as rated by users--awesome! I had ordered trees just once before, blindly searching for vendors and plants in google--this process now with Dave's has answered my prayers. I will not hesitate to use GardensOyvey again if they have a plant I want and can't find locally. The price of the tree was $48 which might seem a bit high, but I value the effort, knowledge, care etc. of the company to give me my money's worth--and I really wanted this tree!

ordered a limelight hydrangea from them, received it on time, but the post office must have let it set in the sun and it was cooked. reported this and they were happy to send a replacement quickly, which arrived again quickly , but this time in excellent condition.

I ordered a limelight hydrangea from this company earlier this Spring. My shrub arrived promptly and in wonderful condition. The packing was excellent. I'm happy to report that nearly 3 months later, my shrub is looking quite lovely.

Received my order of Pee Gee in fine condition. I order one plant but they shipped two!! Unfortunately, I managed to drown my plant with too much water. Tried to order another but they refused to sell me one, instead shipped another Pee Gee, free! Great service and great communication with Diane and Wolfgang. Strongly recommend GardensOyVey.

Very Healthy looking Little Henry. Packaging good. Placed in a longish box that did not squash the plant. I have had some from other mail order facilities squashed down in a box to small. Good root ball to. Not allot of potting soil spilled all over the inside of the box. Plants leaves fresh and green. Very few yellow leaves. Overall very happy with purchase so far. Will purchase from them again.

I recently purchased a chinese fringe tree (c. retusus) from Gardensoyvey. I was very pleased with the tree. It was even bigger and better than described. Also, they give outstanding service, answer all questions and they ship very quickly. The packing of the tree was outstanding. I will use them again.

There are several clones of the rare Rohdea japonica out there. However, I was immediately attracted to the Rohdea japonica at Gardensoyvey. The plant seemed to have a more upright growth habit instead of the usual squat birdsnest type growth of other Rohdea japonicas. I immeditaely asked Gardensoyvey to send me a Rohdea japonica with the most upright growth. I got an order confirmation and was continually informed about the status of my order. They said that they would send me a great plant--and indeed they did! The plant was quite tall, full, with healthy green growth and strong roots. The plant came right away and was shipped to arrive in perfect condition. On my way out to work this morning, I stopped by my potted up Rohdea just to admire its elegance, and I'm so thankful to gardensoyvey for such a real beauty! I look forward to ordering from Gardensoyvey again, and I highly recommend them.

I order from a lot of different mail order nurseries and this has certainly been one of the best experiences I've had. I was looking for a specific huercherella to match seven I'd purchased locally before that garden center ran out. I figured with mail order, I'd have to put up with a much smaller plant -- if I could find it at all.

A Google search showed me a number of mailorder nurseries who listed my plant, but most just listed it... they didn't actually carry it! Gardensoyvey had it, though, and at a very reasonable price, so, after checking Garden Watchdog, I placed the order. The communication with Gardensoyvey! was fabulous. They confirmed my order, provided tracking information for shipping, then emailed me to say when the order would arrive and exactly what I should do once it did. In every part of this transaction, they went above and beyond what I expected. And the plants are gorgeous, nice and big and healthy. I will definitely order from them again in the future, because it was such a great experience that I'd like to repeat it, and because it appears they have terrific taste in plants! ;-)

I stopped by since they are within an hour of me and...They went out of their way to help me. Everyone was very friendly. I would say they are the friendliest nursery I've ever visited. They have some amazing small Hydrangeas that I had never seen before. I was very impressed with the selection and the staff. Bravo!

I have ordered plants from them this Spring and they will do everything in their power to make sure you get them in in the shortest period of time and in top conduction. They make sure that they are pack very will so that there is no damage to your plants.

In fact they made me a offer last Fall on the plants that I got this Spring and they keep to their word to the T.

When you contact them they will get back to you the same day. This means that you do not have to worry about anything.
Like some places you will wait for a few days or even a week to hear from them.

I would rate them on a scare from ONE to TEN a TEN being the very best. Believe me I never rate anyone a TEN unless they go above and beyond the call of service.

I bought the snow flurry camellia about 2 weeks ago. It was the biggest 2-gallon plant! Well-packaged, promptly shipped. The camellia was an excellent price (over 3 feet tall) and very leafy and bushy. The shipping charge was very reasonable for the size of the plant shipped. Gardensoyvey is on my internet plant purchase list!

This is my second season purchasing from Garden Soyvey and I look forward to more. The plants are always healthy when they arrive and I haven't lost one yet! Besides - they are very responsive to any sort of question you might have. I highly recommend them.

My order, a Hearts-a-Bustin, was delivered quickly and in very good condition. Gardensoyvey courteously and effortlessly overcame an error I'd made in the shipping address. And I didn't have to get above a minimum order threshold to place an order for just this one plant. I'll order from them again.

I recently ordered two giant chinese silver grasses through the Gardens Oy Vey website; however, the grasses shipped from Dove Creek Gardens. When I received the grasses I was very surprised by how small they were. Both consisted of a single skinny (skinnier than a pencil) blade of grass about 18" tall. I am hoping that they will survive and grow quickly. As a side note, the plants I received directly from Gardens Oy Vey were much larger than expected and I was extremely pleased.

Extraordinarily friendly service and quick shipping. My Illicium arrived in such great condition (extremely large and healthy) that I immediately ordered a second one which arrived just as quickly and is as nice as the first. Highly recommend this seller. I will order from again. A+

I received my hardy Orange Bush and was delighted it was so big, over three feet tall. I ordered it one day and it was delivered a few days later after confirmation emails and delivery date. Very quick, with a hand written note on special care for it. It doesn't get better than this!

I ordered 3 Southern Comfort Coral Bells (Heuchera) last week. They arrived today (Wed.) after the Tues. ship date as promised. Actually they sent me 4 Southern Comfort Coral Bells and a bonus Caramel Coral Bells. They were packed very well, with clear planting instructions. This was my first experience with mail-ordering plants and I was thrilled to receive the plants looking so healthy.

My mom placed this order for me, so I can't speak to the ordering process, but the plants were in great shape and well-packaged, and there were 2 bonus irises (with personal notes) in this order of 3 paid-for irises... Very impressive. I will absolutely check them out for future internet purchases.

I ordered 2 Calycanthus last spring and neither made it. I contacted Wolfgang and he promised to send me two more in the fall. AND DID HE EVER! They came on the day he said and they are HUGE!
Wolfgang even called me personally to let me know he had not forgotten me, just before he shipped them. Service? I mean!!

I placed my order for a Fothergilla "Mount Airy" with this company a coupe of weeks ago. Received several e-mails as to when the scrub would be shipped. Ordered 3 Hydrangea. Plants were packaged perfectly and arrived very healthy. Planting instructions were informative and complete. Great service - on top of everything, they lowered my price after purchase by $20 due to excess inventory of plants. Now that's service! Will definitely become a regular customer.

I ordered three hellebores and was immediately sent emails confirming my order and explaining what to expect with shipping. The plants arrived when anticipated, and were HUGE and very robust. (As a comparison, a couple of years ago I ordered three hellebores from a competitor, and although healthy they were tiny and cost twice as much). A bonus plant was included and is much appreciated. The process of buying plants online can be an adventure, sometimes challenging, but there was no part of this transaction that could be improved upon. My repeat business is based solely on the service that I receive and Gardens Oy Vey can expect to see me time and time again.

This company provides a personalized service like no other I have found on the web. It even exceeds in attention all of the staff of my local nursery with perhaps the exception of the owner who I have known for 20 years.. All of the e-mail responses make you feel that you are dealing with individuals (Wolfgamg and spouse) who really appreciate your business and it starts from the first order on, regardless of size. In the case of the unique calycanthus alba, I ordered late in the last seson, they took my order and out of concern for heat damage in shipment offered to keep my shrubs watered and growing until fall shipping season. The shrubs that arrived were far more valuable than when I ordered them having a full summer of growth and no-cost attention behind them. When one of three died, the folowing summer they offered immediately to replace it (in this fall) and would not accept my offer of paying the freight cost. I have just ordered a vine from them, again somthing hard to find. Outstanding!
