Comments regarding Sebright Gardens

I had a bad experience with Sebright and will not order from them again.

I ordered a 3/4 gallon bare root painted fern through plant lust which was filled using Sebright. What I received was a 1/2 QT sized rootball, no where near the size I expected. I sent pictures and explained my problem to plant lust, which simply forwarded my email to Sebright.

Sebright's reply was that this was a good size plant and was grown in a 3/4 gallon container for a year, and the feeder roots came off as they 'prepped' for shipping.

My reply was that I did not agree that they would remove so much of the rootball to save money on shipping, to which I received no reply.

A few days later I received three, 3/4 gallon bare root ferns from Gossler Farms. The rootballs of each Gossler fern were 3-5x the size I received from Sebright. Gossler also charged 55% more than Sebright to ship literally 10x more plant material. I sent another email to Sebright and Plant Lust explaining this, including pictures and the invoice to show the stark difference for what should have been roughly the same size rootball. No reply.

Do not buy.
