Comments regarding Classy Groundcovers

Classy Ground Coverings had an extremely detailed, helpful website to ensure I was making the correct purchase for my location (zone 5) and area in my garden. They customized the ship date, packaging was well planned, and the plants were more robust than I had anticipated them to be. Ordered 24 vinca minor in 2.5" pots, 24 Liriope muscari big blue 3.5" pots, and 10 astilbe bare roots. The Big Blue started getting bigger within the first week in the ground. I'd have never guessed the astilbe were bare root plants because they were nice and leafy. The vinca minor are on a shaded, wet slope and I haven't noticed any growth after 3 weeks in the ground but they look healthy. I've been telling everyone I know about my success in buying online with CG and will continue to order from them. I wish they'd carry all plants because I would order from no one else. I am always apprehensive that the plants I order will look as good as they appear in the site description, so I didn't get my hopes up when I placed my order. Boy was I pleasantly surprised when they arrived. Full healthy plants that greatly exceeded my expectations. I will most certainly consider Classy Groundcovers in the future.
I was also impressed with how my plants came packed for shipping. I kept the base of my shipping box to use as a tray for moving my seedlings when ready to plant.

The box got a little crushed by UPS but the plants were not harmed because of the cushioning. I will be ordering more in the spring.

I have ordered from Classy Groundcovers several times, always pleased with the quality and sevice.

I was initially sad to learn that they do not ship to Canada (because of legal restrictions), but found a way around that: have them ship to someone near Canada and have them reship it to you in Canada.

The small incremental increase in shipping charge (over their free ashipping) is well worth it.

Quick shipping. Bare root plants arrived in good condition. We planted within 4 days. They are mulched and ready for winter - we can't wait to see them next spring!

Made my first purchase from Classy Groundcovers the weekend before last. I received my ship date the following Monday - and the plants were on my doorstep by Thursday.

Beautifully packed, good size and shape, healthy plants.

I was so impressed that I placed another order this weekend. Looking forward to planting more phlox this coming weekend :)

I have been ordering from Classy Groundcovers for several years. This includes several varieties of ferns, a lot of vinca minor, and most recently phlox. Every order has arrived in excellent condition, packed very well, very healthy plants, and none of the plants have died. I have nothing but positive things to say about this company and the service I have received.

This is my first order with Classy Ground Covers and I have been ordering plants online for many years. I cannot begin to compare this experience because other companies cannot compare to the Service, Speed, Condition of plants, Size and health of plants that arrived at my door yesterday! The website is AWESOME and each offering is lovingly described as to what makes it happy and how to best succeed with the new additions. The communication from the moment I placed the order to 5 days later when they arrived was beyond anything I've experienced before. I opened the box to find the bushy, green, HEALTHY plantlings - super moist and surrounded in wet newspaper to keep them so. I am so excited to see what next Spring brings to this neglected area of my yard... SnowCone Candy Tuft was recommended as a plant for this specific area and I have to say - it may be hard to ignore these lovely little plants! I have all 24 plants in the ground and not a one in the bunch looked peaked or suffering! I am pending the in-stock notification for the Elfin Thyme I want to get- and can only say - Classy Ground Covers has a new life time customer!

A great experience!!! Plants arrived in excellent condition and very prompt (all 324 of them). Instructions for planting were very helpful and I followed them closely. It has been well over a month and they are all still alive and doing really well!! Probably doubled in size already, if not more. Word to the wise - make sure you have a good chunk of time to plant if you order 324 plants, it takes some time to do it right.

Plants arrived very well packed and were beautiful and very well grown specimen. Will look forward to ordering from them again. Great company!

I wrote a simple email asking for some suggestions about planting Lily of the Valley in San Francisco. There are many differing opinions on line and being that this company was on the Watchlist, assumed they would at least have something to add.

I received a very smart ass answer from the nursery, something along the lines of "what suggestions? You plant, they grow". Then he proceeded to say he could not ship to California. Ugh, I despise a smart ass gardener.

Beautiful healthy plants! I've been using this company several years now and I've never been disappointed. Their plants are healthy and vigorous, never root bound. Customer service is quick and helpful, the plants arrive on time and ready to grow!

I've ordered multiple times from this company and only had one problem before. They sent the wrong order, which they fixed promptly. Today I tried to use one of their discounts which they email ed to me. I placed the order but got no discount. I called I wrote emails. I did this again and again. No one picks up the phone no one responds to emails. They are open to take my order but not to give any feed back. I received the email come on this week so I know they are in business, and I expect to get a response. I'm sure they'll fix this eventually, but I'm already over invested in time trying to contact them. If your open for business be responsive. Very irksome IMO

I needed many plants this year, ordered from Totally Tomato, Bluestone perennials, NH hostas, American Meadows, Classy Groundcovers, & Dans Dahlias. I will comment on each site as the orders come in.
I ordered 24 phlox from Classy Groundcovers and it came well packed with moist newspaper, pots appeared moist and plants were good color.
it took 4 days shipping but didnt seem to be a problem.
i would use again, but can only buy in bulk.

I ordered 24 pots of a vinca variety and they arrived well-packed and very healthy. Communication during shipment was great, I always knew where the plants were and when they would be at my door. The plants themselves are lovely, larger than I'd hoped for and fresh and green. Ordering plants sight-unseen via the internet can be frustrating so I really appreciate the superlative experience I had with your fine company.

I first discovered Classy Groundcovers and Dave's Garden at the same time, when I got back to gardening about 8 years ago. Best things I ever did for my garden!

Placed my very first order with CG several weeks ago & was so impressed with the quality of Liriope I received that I placed another order for more of same variety Liriope + 24 potted Heuchera plants yesterday. Very happy that my 2nd order was also promptly processed & I received a shipping notice 1 day after I placed this order, too. That's awesome service & I'm sure I won't be disappointed when I receive my 2nd order :)

I love this company. I've order many ground covers over the years from them, and the plants always show up in great condition. I often receive extra bare root plants in the order. I had one complaint once re: lack of description of the one-gallon plants - they are shipped without soil and I thought this was mis-leading and should have been more prominently displayed on the website. When I called, they immediately updated their website, so their customer service folks are awesome! Very good prices - I have not seen any of their competitors beat them. Highly recommended!

Healthy, well established plants at a competitive price with free shipping...what's not to like.

I recently ordered 3 boxes, 24 Euonymus and 48 junipers, first time with this company and sure nervous although previous reports were good. No worries, plants arrived as promised, in great shape, and now they are growing well! I just sent another order in.

I received 50 hosta halcyon and 25 royal standard bareroot plants. It's my first order from them and the delivery and care of the plants was exceptional. Some of the plants were so large that I was able to split them. The temperature here in Oxon Hill, MD. was to drop from 80 degrees down into the 40's that night with cool temps for about a week, so I called to ask what they recommended as far as to plant or hold, the gentleman stated that either way would be o.k. just keep the plants moist in a cool location if i was going to hold. So I planted all the plants that same evening and the plants are looking good on day 3.

I will definitely recommend and will order from CG again.

I would highly recommend buying from Classy Groundcovers, especially when you need to buy in multiples or in bulk. I bought 25 bareroot Hosta 'Royal Standard'; they were shipped very quickly and at the exact time I specified. When they arrived they were packaged very nicely, and the hostas' I received were very large two eyed divisions, some with three or four eyes, with large root systems. I can't wait to see their progression this summer! Again I would highly recommend Classy Groundcovers, and will definitely be buying from them again!

Purchase arrived well-packaged, quite healthy. Price was reasonable. Seller provided the information I needed about the purchase without unnecessary emails, unwanted sales materiel. I'll quite probably order from them again.

I just received 54 mondo grass plants from CG. It's my first experience ordering from them and I am extremely pleased. The plants are very large and extremely healthy. They were delivered on time and I received both shipping and delivery notices by email.

If a "VERY, VERY POSITIVE" rating were available, I'd give it to CG! I have a list of additional plants to order from them, as soon as the spring weather arrives.

Received two orders from Classy Groundcovers this month and both arrived without a hitch. All plants were healthy and well rooted, the packing was very secure, the media moist, and they arrived very quickly after ordering. I was notified upon shipment and so was able to have the holes dug and everything ready when the plants arrived.
I have no doubt I will be ordering from them again in the future.

Wow! Ordered Daylily (Hemerocallis) ’White Triangle’{25 Bare Root plants} - $26.75 with free shipping -- the LARGEST second-year divisions I've ever seen. Huge clusters, fat fans, love them already!

Not just happy, but once again THRILLED with my order from Classy Groundcovers.

I purchased Royal Purple Liriope from Classy Groundcovers this week. Every plant was in perfect condition, and much care was obviously taken in packing them for shipment. I am an avid gardener and have purchased plants online and before that from catalogues for many years, and no one has ever compared with the quality of plants, the packaging, and the quick shipping of Classy Groundcovers. The plants were also far superior to the ones I looked at last week at several local nurseries. Classy Groundcovers has met and exceeded my expectations.

I bought 70 liriope to plant as erosion control along my rock wall on the Hudson River. The plants were great, arrived on schedule and in great condition! Great company to do business with.

Order 10 LIRIOPE muscari which arrived in excellent condition and of good size.

Received 24 hardy plumbago in 3.5 inch pots. All in good condition. Planted immediately and nothing even wilted. Very pleased. Will order again.
