This nursery has a very interesting set of catalogs, which constitute a useful reference, particularly in certain specialized areas (daylilies, iris, magnolias). The listed holdings in their specialties are vast. And the family that owns and runs it is famous for their breeding of daylilies and iris. However, I'd think twice about ordering from them.I contacted this nursery initially some five years ago. They informed me that they had no price list, and couldn't give out information on the phone regarding what they had for sale. But for a price of about $7.50 each, I could order their catalogs. (Their holdings are divided among some six or seven catalogs, so to find out their total listings you'd need to send them a lot of money.) I bit. I sent them something over twenty dollars for some three catalogs. Two years and many increasingly irate phone calls later, I got my catalogs. The prices are very high, even for plants that are widely available. But they do list some things that are very hard to find. However, many items were listed without prices. Then I tried to place an order.I was informed that their entire stock had been damaged when they'd placed it under plastic when a cold snap threatened. No, they couldn't tell me what they had for sale or when it might be available. They suggested I call back in about six months.Six months later, I tried again. No, they couldn't tell me any particulars about when the plants I was interested in might be available, or what the prices might be. Six months later, it was the same story. On the phone, these people are rude and unprofessional. The attitude each time was: if you don't like it, take your business elsewhere. I still don't have the plants that were the initial reason for my contacting these people.
