I received my order today, 2 figs (excel & verte) and 2 pomegranates (eversweet & parfianka). Each plant advertised as 1 gallon size arrived VERY well packaged and protected from shipping mishap. Each plant a good size sturdy specimen.

I found Durio's website when looking for these somewhat hard to find varieties (they are worth a good look). The site has no facility to purchase online. An email address is supplied and my question was answered later the same day.
I placed my order over the phone finding a friendly and helpful voice at the other end.
No order confirmation email was sent and after a couple of weeks I was beginning to wonder if my order had been filled, until the plants arrived in good condition described above.

I plan to shop here again and do recommend.

Two massive plants just arrived. The packing was the best I have seen in all my years of gardening- barely a leaf was lost from each 5 gallon potted plant.

The plants arrived in the nursery pot with superb lattice to support the vines. The Rangoon Creeper exited the box blooming and the scent is beginning to fill my place. Each of the plants is between 4'-5' tall and completely filled out.

I must note that their website is being upgraded so it is extremely difficult to find things and impossible to order from the website (as of June 2005). Do not give-up. WRITE THEM as I did.

Earl replied with the complete price, including shipping.

Once their website is back up and running properly, I am confident that ordering will be easy, shipping confirmed, and catalog brousing simplified. In the meantime, just ask.

This is not a commercial for them but it is a super hearty endorsement! Way to go, Earl, and thanks.

MEA CULPEA!

In my excitement I erroneously referred to "Earl" instead of "Dalton" at Durio. My mistake for which I apologize. (No, not everyone in Louisianna is named Earl. I was just speaking to someone by that name and accidentlly referred to Dalton by the wrong name.) :-)

I contacted this nursery in early June of this year looking for Crape Myrtle trees, both Lagerstroemia Indica and Fauriei. They were kind enough to fax me a list of what was available. I made my selections and phoned in my order requesting shipment on the following Monday. They contacted me that Monday and advised me that my trees would be shippedthat afternoon. The trees arrived on Thursday and were in great condition. In the less than two months that I have had them, they have grown an average of 15 inches. Needless to say, I am very pleased and would recommend this nursery.
