Comments regarding Onalee's Seeds, LLC

My first order with Onalee's may have arrived in the mail faster than they could send the shipment notification LOL. I can't wait to plant my seeds and Thanks for the free packet!

I just received my first order of seeds from Onalee yesterday in Washington State! They shipped (free) 4 days ago from her Florida location! Nice! I found Onalee's like so many others it would appear. I Googled & Binged my way around looking for Castor seeds and maybe something else large and tropical/showy for my zone 5b super short growing season. I was shunted to amazon and many many seed and nursery vendors from huge to tiny,all with a common denominator. *If they have what you want, and the right ( smaller for me ) quantities per pack, either the seed price or the shipping--------------- or Both just didn't " feel good ". Back to Bing and Onalee's. My oh My! This felt better! My 1st search showed me all 3 of my Castor choices with great info and actual "in the dirt" pics of same. Done and Done !! Now,how about something else Odd to my zip code perhaps? Under Odd I found Coral Bush seeds that I believe will be exactly what I need for some truly tragic growing spots closer to the house than the Castor plants will be.So now I have 4 packs of seeds in my order,and at checkout I find that the shipping is Free ------ and since I have more than 3 packs ordered--------1 of those is free also! I won't expand on the great packaging, pics, & planting info as everybody notes this right away,so to those points and getting several more seeds per package than guaranteed(all perfect in my case),I'll just say I absolutely agree with the masses here. I'm not someone that normally buys seeds online,but I do buy many other things online and what Onalee's has managed to do is make my experience FEEL GOOD. That's not an easy thing. Onalee now has one more devoted fan for her particular style of selling me what I want for less than I expected to pay! That is a winning business model that is serving her and her customers very well IMHO. 'nuf said!

The people at this company grow their own seeds and plants so they know their products very well. I am impressed with the customer service and do not know how it could be better. My recent order was shipped two days after the order and arrived (from FLA to MX) in good shape and good time. I was truly delighted with the thorough information on the seed packaging. The most wonderful feature of the seed packaging is a clear image of a seedling and they are the only seed company i've done business with who includes this feature. Always my first question is "what does the seedling look like"? I don't know how many times i have nurtured new growth only to find out it was not the plant i thought it was so i am just crazy about this feature. All together this was a very positive experience and i recommend this company highly.

We had this particular vine but didn't know the name. (Cypress Vine) I found it by googling and then found that Onalee had the seeds. I was so happy to find that it came in other colors also. I waited until planting season and I ordered for the first time, rec'd the seeds sooner than I expected. They were exactly what I ordered and I even rec'd a bonus. I will be ordering from Onalee again.

I inquired about blood lily bulbs and received a helpful and prompt reply. My order came surprisingly quickly and the bulbs looked healthy and happy. I am excitedly awaiting for their green shoots to appear!

Very fast delivery; seeds packed in separate sturdy packets with instructions for growing the seeds. This is my first time ordering from Onalee and I am quite pleased.

This is the second year I have ordered seeds from Onalee. Very fast service and am happy with my seeds. I will order again.

I have been searching for the blue pea flowers for making natural blue food coloring. Found it with Onalee's. The communication was great at every step. The packet arrived very quickly and well packed. I hope the seeds sprout! Thanks.

My order was sent in a timely manner. I love the personal touches of Onalee's Seeds. I was able to find seeds for plants here that I could not locate anywhere else. I love the packaging with pictures of the seedlings so I could easily identify my plants! The free shipping is fantastic as well- and what a selection of seeds! I recently purchased flower seeds from Onalee and had an all around great online retail experience. From the ease of navigating her website to simple checkout process and fast shipping. Seeds are packaged nicely with easy to understand growing instructions and pictures of the seedling on the package itself. Overall a very nice easy experience.

This is the first time I have ever ordered from Onalee's seeds. Just happened to find them. What a fantastic experience! Received my seeds today and they are packaged just beautifully. There is a picture of the seedling or the flower or both with a detailed description & how to plant & grow. Opened a couple packages & the seeds look healthy & good. Can't wait to get them going. Have some plants on a waiting list & hope that when her stock is back up & it warms up I will be able to get them too. I highly recommend this site for shopping & purchasing. I was seraching the web for White Hyacinth Bean seeds and came accross Onalee's website. My order arrived in two days! Excellent Service! Thank You Very Much!

Several years ago, probably about five years ago, I ordered some seeds from Onalee. I never planted them, then got involved in moving from one state to another, and so on. Life got in the way, as life has a habit of doing! :)

I finally planted them last summer, and I had 100% germination. I do mean 100% - every single seed that I planted sprouted and grew! They were all, as it happened, varieties of morning glories from Japan. I will order again, for sure.

Seeds arrived way before they were expected via USPS... go figure at this busy time of the year (Christmas - New Year holiday period).

Can't wait to get these seeds started, a month or so to go here in Pensacola. Used to have a greenhouse that I would've started them in already, but one of the hurricanes spread it thru the neighborhood... so now they get started in the house.

I ordered a number of seeds and some bulbs from Onalee based upon what I had seen on Dave's Garden. Onalee was quick to respond, sent excellent quality bulbs and nicely packaged seeds. I am eager to see my seedlings come up! What impressed me most was that she balanced her professionalism with an old-fashioned warmth that is so welcome in this fast-paced, McDonaldized world. I am very satisfied with how fast I received my order from Onalee's Seeds. I placed my order on Monday 10/29/12 and got my package on Friday 11/2/12. Fast shipping, seed planting instructions included and in a friendly personalized way. Seeds germinated in a couple of days (October Rose and Texas Star Hibiscus, Yellow Elder and Caribbean Papaya) and not weeks. However I do not seem to be lucky with the lily seeds as I do not see any sign of life yet since sowing in July 20. I am happy with this company and hope that they will have more seed varieties to offer in the future. I look forward to ordering again soon.

Super fast shipping. The seeds came with great instructions. As of yet I haven't been able to plant them since unlike the rest of the country we've had so much rain they would wash away. I enjoyed getting the free gift too!

Ordered on 7/10/12 at 10:30 at night, order processed and shipped on 7/11/12. Arrived on 7/14/12, good packaging, liked the bubble wrap, and seedling id. and information on seed packs. Quick delivery from Florida to Brownsville,Tx in 3 1/2 days, and a free seed pack of your choice along with free shipping is almost impossible to beat. Seeds planted on 7/17/12 emerged on the morning of 7/20/12, 2 days is great germination rate. To everyone wondering where in hell is Reid Hope King, Tx join the club, I have lived in Brownsville, Tx 78521 for 38 yrs. and had never heard of it till today on Dave's Garden, looked it up and it is an empty field with a neighborhood consisting of 2 small streets with about 802 people, I live in the Morningside Estates and our elementary has more people than that. I hope that Dave's Garden makes the correction, it greatly misrepresents my location and is totally incorrect. Brownsville is the largest city in the Rio Grande Valley area and 16th largest in the state of Tx with a population of over 175,000 people not an empty lot with a couple of streets.

First of all, I want to recommend "Onalee's" wholeheartedly and will not hesitate telling all my friends who buy seeds online. Even though she's a small grower/retailer now, she does have some very unique offerings.

I recently tried her out and was very pleased how quickly my order arrived here in Costa Rica, in only 10 days! No problem whatsover with Customs or inspections, etc. I get seeds from several international sites and have never had a problem with that, thank goodness.

Anyway, I wanted a selection of Japanese Morning Glories and 2 were still in the original Japanese pkgs. Obviously that is why those varieties are a little "pricey", but they are imported, so this is understandable. I still got to select a free selection, even though I am not in the U.S., which I was very grateful for. In addition, Onalee included another free gift, which surprised me. Talk about generosity! It was not my choice, but was actually something that I wanted, so that was a bonus.

Unfortunately, there was a slight problem, which has been totally resolved and Onalee will be re-mailing one item free of charge. The problem was not her fault whatsoever and rather a mysterious cultural one. I purchases both the white and the lavender "Moonflowers" and treated them identically. I had grown the white ones before after a presoaking of about 2 hrs. I did the same with the lavender species and planted both varieties at the same time in the same potting mix in the same container I like to use. Naturally the whites sprouted in a few days and now there are 11 ready to be planted in the garden. I patiently waited for the lavenders to germinate, but they didn't. Finally, after waiting an appropriate time, I investigated the seeds carefully and discovered they had all rotted. This of course is not Onalee's fault and she assured me that she had tested seeds from the same batch earlier in the Spring with excellent results. Possibly the lavender variety is more susceptible to rot that the whites or has a thinner, softer seed coat, but it still remains more of a "cultural" problem to me, ie: my fault. Onalee considered this situation "strange" as well and suggested scarifying or nicking the hard seed coat first. I had never done this before with white moonflowers, but I think this time I will with my the new lavender seeds or I may just avoid the pre-soaking.

I have a good feeling about Onalee and what she is trying to do and will most definitely order from her again. The other seeds I ordered are now in my hands and it is my responsibility to provide the right conditions to germinate them.

I purchased items from Onaleei on e-bay before I knew she was rated so highly here. I have had extremely excellent results from her products. I have ordered from her many times. (My local rabbits have contributed to repeat purchases) I love her detailed instructions, the photo of the seedling, plus she always adds a bonus. You never know what it is, but it is related to your order. She promptly answers any questions. She is just wonderful to deal with. I HIGHLY recommend her.

I ordered datil pepper seeds on 6/10; they were shipped on 6/11, received on 6/14 and some were planted on 6/18. In one week, 9 of 12 seeds have already sprouted. Amazing! Everything I've read says these peppers take at least two weeks to sprout.

Just received my pulmeria cutting and it was so large!! I had no idea how big the cutting was going to be. Plus Onalee provides you with growing guides which were excellent! Definitely a top rated plant vendor!

I received my 5 "medium" black runner elephant ears. They were about 10 times larger than I had expected and in great shape. The growing guide for their care for what to do upon arrival, the next week and continue care was very helpful and very easy to follow. I found Onalee when I was searching for black magic elephant ears. No one was selling them or they were outrageously expensive. I ordered them being a little hesitant about buying from a random search online. The paypal option was great to give me a little more assurance I would get my money back if it was a scam. As it turns out, Onalee provided fast service and I got my plants for a steal for the size and quality I received. I highly recommend this seller and I will be buying from Onalee in the future. I received the bulbs two days after I ordered! The page had multiple pictures of the plant I ordered so it was easy for me to verify. The bulbs arrived in excellent shape. I had to contact Onalee regarding a payment problem and she responded quickly (less than a day). Excellent service- I would definitely order from them again!

I recently placed an order for 4 packs of seed on 2/25 and received them on 2/29. I had a problem receiving a confirmation from paypal but Onalee was fantastic about communicating with me directly. She is also extremely generous with the seed counts. I ordered a pack of 10 seeds White Texas Star Hibiscus and received 17, 15 seeds of Red Hibiscus and received 28 and 24 Golden Rain Tree seeds (received 54). I have yet to sow the Latex Vine but I am sure there are at least twice the number of seeds in the pack than is listed (24). I would definitely place an order again - there are many reasons why she has such a high rating!

I ordered 2 pkts of surinam cherry seeds and they arrived two days later. More seeds in pkts than advertised. I now have 35 seeds propagating and anxiously waiting to see how many break the soil. Thanx so much for these long sought seeds and with luck I will have me a hedge in a couple of years. Very prompt service and will order again from this company.
