I have ordered from Plants of Distinction twice. Unlike every single other place I've ordered from, the shipping took forever the first time and they did not provide tracking, but I was very happy with the quality of seeds I received and their packaging, so I made another order this winter, leaving plenty of time for their slow shipping.
It has been nine weeks since I placed that order, (December 8th!) and have still not received it (it is now February 10). On January 29th, I inquired about my order and was told it must have been lost in the mail and they would dispatch a new order immediately and send it 'tracked' (their quotes, not mine). It has been almost two weeks since then, and although I sent an email 5 days ago asking for an update because I hadn't received any shipping confirmation, I have not heard from them again.
Pretty frustrating. I'll be lucky if I get my seeds at all, let alone in time to plant. I probably will not order from Plants of Distinction again.

Update: after posting my review, I received a response from Sarah at PoD, apologizing for the slow response, confirming that they did resend my order, and offering to resend it again or give me a refund if it doesn't arrive. Pretty good, considering my order has obviously been lost in the mail through no (or very little) fault of theirs; when she confirmed my address on file, I noticed that it repeated "Canada" where it should have said "BC". That probably also explains why my last order took so long to arrive. So, other than the lack of tracking, I can't really complain. |
