I went out to the Nantucket Hydrangea Farm yesterday and was beyond impressed with both the huge collection of perfectly grown plants, but also with the owners eminence knowledge and genuine enthusiasm of the genus. I could have spent the entire day, but settled on 4 choices made by the owner after he perused my list of what I already had growing in my garden. I know they will thrive and I will be adding more from this choice grower. I can only wonder what took me so long to find this gem! I am also sure they run a perfect mail order operation too. This will be a Nantucket destination spot to bring all my gardening visitors in the future. Patti

I have enjoyed doing business with them. The hydrangeas were well described in the online catalogue, arrived promptly, and were high quality specimens. A minor problem was quickly and satisfactorily resolved.

Great service and communications! My hydrangea arrived in amazingly good shape despite the fact that my local post office managed to misplace it for over two weeks (in the middle of an early heatwave). Frank both helped me track it down and offered to replace it for free since I was worried about the hydrangea's chances after that, but we decided to give it a go. Sure enough, my hydrangea ("The Swan") has put on a good amount of growth and you'd never know it had such a tough beginning. Frank also followed up to be sure it had recovered and was growing well. Quality plants--I have no doubt the hydrangea can deal with anything that our midwest weather might have in store.

I ordered 5 hydrangeas, 2 Blue Bird, 1 Preciosa, 1 Brestenburg, 1 Amethyst, in Jan or Feb after consulting with Frank about my shady in summer property. I knew the plants would not ship until April at the earliest. I contacted Frank in mid-April when the plants hadn't arrived yet, who wrote me that he was tracking the weather where customers were, and shipping accordingly (I'm in northern NJ); he expected to ship by early May. Wow, someone who not only sells you the plants, but cares whether they live afterward! Not only that, when he prepared to ship, he sent an advance e-mail telling me how big to dig the holes and what soil amendments to add. Else I would not have had peat moss on hand. Everything except for Preciosa has bloomed already, and these were the small plants I ordered. I am very impressed and would say to anyone interested in hydrangeas, check this place first for a great selection and first class service. Thank you Frank!!

I just planted my hydrangeas. I bought cuttings and some larger plants. Some of the larger plants have blooms that are absolutely breathtaking. This is a great company, great response to emails, great product, the packaging was really good. My order was pretty large and not one of the plants was broken or damaged. All around great business.

Just received my order from Nantucket Hydrangeas and was overwhelmed and so very pleased. The packing was superb; not a wilted plant or leaf, and nothing damaged. The plants were beautiful, healthy, and each had a plant marker with name already on it. I'll definitely order again from this place. They have a website with wonderful info about caring for hydrangeas and the owner kept in touch by email to let me know exactly when my plants were mailed and when to expect them so they wouldn't sit sweltering in the heat. This company gets an A-1 rating from me! Jenny

This spring I ordered lots of starter plants and rooted cuttings from Nantuckethydrangea. They are now one gallon size. A couple of them are flowering for me now in the fall.

The owner is a hydrangea enthusiast and was more than willing to work with me in my selections. If you want a lot of variety, do like I did, and send him a check and some general guidelines for what you want and let him select the best for you.

I am very pleased and feel like I'm getting a great bargain at three dollars for well rooted cuttings, six dollars for starter plants.

Good luck.
