I ordered about 20 daylilies from Gulfhaven and they arrived in just a few days. These are not stingy people, most were 5-6 fans each and the few that were only 3 fans were giants!
Their prices are very good, all plants seem healthy and the ordering process was easy and pleasant. And very nice bonus plants also.
I've ordered daylilies from numerous sources and Gulfhaven is certainly is one of the best.

After reading all of the positive buying experiences everyone had with Gulfhaven, I ordered from them recently. I received the order when requested, and the fans were at least doubles (many more than doubles) and healthy. I was very pleased and will definitely order from them again.

I had heard good things about Gulfhaven so I went to their website. Well done, easy to navigate. Nice pics of the flowers. I had emailed her with a couple of questions and she answered promptly. I placed my order on line and mentioned when I wanted them delivered. They arrived exactly when I requested. They were very well packed and looked as if they were just placed in the box. Very fresh. Obviously, they were dug the day of shipping. Not even a yellow leaf. All were at least three fans except a couple. She also included three bonus plants. This were obviously chosen with care in keeping with my color, etc. choices. And they were not her most inexpensive ones either. I am thrilled with my purchase and will definately buy from her again.

Highly recommend. Kathy is very helpful and does a great job of letting you know when items are ready to be shipped, etc. Better yet, how does QUADRUPLE fans sound? Two of the three daylilies I ordered had four fans, all had at least three, including a very nice bonus plant sent with my order. Her prices are very reasonable, especially considering the quality of the plants.

Thanks Kathy for an altogether pleasant ordering experience!

Beautiful display and seedling gardens! The drive is worth the visit during the blooming season. The plants are clean and well maintained, and you can pick out your own potted daylilies out of the wide selection available in the retail nursery. I simply stated which types of flowers I would like for my new garden, and the service was great. The prices are excellent for such large plants. I'm going to be a repeat customer!

I've bought from daylily vendors before, I graded some of them "C" or "B" and some "B+", and one "A-". Gulfhaven gets A+. There are 3 resasons why I recommend A+, pleasant and helpful service, a number of nice plants in the 5-dollar range (they do have expensive plants too), and generous portions.

I purchased 10 or 12 varieties from Gulfhaven Gardens, none over 7 dollars. They were helpful and pleasant and answered questions about reblooming habits, etc.

Usually I receive a “double fan.” Rarely, a nursery has sent a triple fan for one plant or another. Gulfhaven sent triple fans for everything, and quadruple fans for many. One amazing plant had 6 fans, and another had 5 fans.

I was happy with the order and the courtesy on the phone. I ordered inexpensive plants in the 5 dollar price range. Gulfhaven took the time to treat me like a million dollar customer, and they answered all questions. I wanted to know if a certain flower had lavender in it, or if a flower was rose vs. mauve, and so on.

However, I was pleased even more when the order arrived. The nursery sent 3 extra daylily varieties with my order. These bonus plants were not haphazardly picked—clearly the nursery took time to think about our conversation and picked reblooming, over 25-inch tall, evergreen plants (my preferences) in colors I that I had mentioned I would like to try next year (a near white with cream in it, and 2 pinks with no lavender).

These plants were healthy, they were certified by Mississippi state agricultural inspectors as disease-free by visual inspection. I’ll go back to Gulfhaven Gardens when I put in another order next fall.

One more plus for me is that the are in my climate zone 8b/9a, and have lots of knowledge about plants that will work for humid summers. I use daylilies for flowerbeds and then as ground cover after the flowers are done, so I try to get evergreen types and Gulfhaven had a good numer of evergreen plants that had the right colors and which were tall enough for me, I like 24 inches or taller so the plants can be seen even if they aren't in the front of the bed.

Cordially,

Last spring was my first experience in ordering daylilies and I tried Gulfhaven, Lilypad and Gilbert and Sons. I was impressed with the size and the health of Gulfhavens daylilies and with the bonus plants. Of course I became very impressed after receiving my order from Gilbert's, who is now on my toss the catalog list.
