Just wanted to let everyone know that I heard from Bruce "The Onionman" directly and he seems convinced that he needs to make some changes to improve order handling. So, I'll probably order from them next year to learn whether they really took action to avoid problems with late orders and lack of communication. I'm encouraged, but I need to see results. Thus, I'm changing my rating to neutral and hoping that next year they get a positive rating. |

I'll update my rating after I receive my order. On April 22nd, 2012, Old_Gardener changed the rating from negative to neutral and added the following: I received my trial order on Saturday the 21st. Of the intermediate mix, the white candy onions are scallion sized, the red variety is equivalent to a thick pencil lead, and the yellow are somewhere in between. Because the onions are fresher and overall larger than I usually receive from another vendor, I am upgrading my initial rating to a neutral. I do believe that Dixondale cares about their reputation but I cannot make it a *positive* due to their problems with communication prior to posting here. |

Unfortunately, my yard isn't that big, so I ran low on room for other things. As someone else said, they are pricey and I can get them much cheaper by waiting and getting them locally. If you are in a hurry to plant and don’t mind paying more for that privilege, they are an excellent company. |
