I too have had good results with their roses. Fall planting is not always easy, I once planted 10 roses in what started as cold wet weather and had turned to freezing rain before I finished, but all these roses survived and bloomed the next summer.

I was glad to see they branched out recently and began to offer some Teas and Noisettes, which are better for my climate. Selection is excellent, service is very good, there is plenty of information in the catalog and the roses ARE HEALTHY. I've only lost one or two out of 50 or so. They grow and grow well. People are amazed when I tell them that the 4-5 foot roses in my garden were planted only 4 months earlier. The BEST PART: terrific prices. Even including shipping costs from Canada, the prices are good!

I find the Pickering Nurseries catalog a real danger to my pocketbook! A wonderful selection of roses is available, the plants are healthy, and the catalog gives frank advice pertinent to northern gardeners about disease resistance, fragrance, and floriferousness of each variety. The main quirk to note is that since their roses are shipped bare-root, they'll only ship in late fall. You have to get your order in by Sept, latest early October, to have a good selection. Once I planted an order of 25 plants in an early November blizzard - only 2 failed to make it through that winter!

My absolute favourite nursery grower and supplier for roses…Prices are reasonable; they ship worldwide. I have found quality of plants and shipments to be excellent. Can't recommend this one enough.
