I ordered a whole bunch of lovely pink fluffy daffodils. After waiting patiently all winter for a delightful show in the spring, to my dismay all the daffodils were plain yellow ones. I had paid a premuim price for the hybrids and I am very disappointed and will never order from them again. I too have been sent dried sticks that never did manage to breath the breath of life.

I am sorry to say that my first mail order experience was a disaster. I bought two 50 ft. flowering fences for a friend's birthday (only one shrub lived) as well as several lilies, and 3 roses. Only one rose has lived, Only 6 of the 30 lilies I ordered lived and their free bulbs were laughable. The Gladiolus bulbs were about the size of an anemone root! They have no email; will not return a fax; no 1-800#; and when I call on my nickel at 3 pm their time, they have a recording saying that I should call between 8 am and 4:30 pm! Where the devil are they? I want my money's worth!

I agree wholeheartedly!! I wish this site had been available before I placed my several orders. I think out of approximately $250.00 worth of plants I might have two that survived. The sticks and packages of dried roots I received in a package the size of a large jewelry box, were certainly not healthy when I received them. Their money back guarantee is great if you can stay on hold for up to 40 minutes between 9 and 5 only to speak to an operator who logs your call for future processing. It was disgusting my last order I wrote RETURN TO SENDER and had Visa reverse the charges.

Quality so poor that one should save their money and buy a trash can instead for the junk mail they send. They are always sending you an envelope saying "You are the chosen one, and guaranteed to win a prize." Well forget it, I tried out of determination to see if I could stick and win the big one. After a fortune in stamps I won the first round prize(a package of alyssum seeds. After shear and utter determination and stupidity, not to mention a big expense with more stamps, I won theguaranteed $400 prize. To get it I had to spend it all for items from their catalog. My trash bucket just isn't big enough.I can't even come close to recommending this company. It is one of junk mail and poor quality. Their contests are a farce, if you win the first round prize it is a packet of seeds. I got to the $400 winners circle but I would have to spend the all money on more of their poor quality plants. To sum up the way I feel about this company is trash like their product.

I have ordered many times from this company and up until this year I have been very disappointed, except for their lily bulbs everything arrived as dry sticks. I must say this year I ordered more lily bulbs and just for fun some Pampas grass. The Pampas grass arrived in little pots, (surprise!) and was actually a bit damp. I have just planted everything and the p-grass is doing fine. I have nothing good to say about their sweepstakes; however and the free gifts?? Although they say they have winners certainly it's never been me or anyone from my area as far as I can tell. The free gifts are seeds, tiny bulbs, and although I have planted these bulbs I have yet to see one bloom. Time will tell again this year. This is May/96 and I will get back to you later on in the summer to let you know my luck with my latest purchases.

I've been doing business with them for the past 3 or 4 years. Sometimes, I would get so upset with their products and services, I could strangle them! The smallness of the bulbs, the cheap "gifts", the junk mail, the sweepstakes, the dead plants, the tiny survival rate... While reading the information on Michigan Bulb I thought it was all about Rockwood Gardens! I'm not sure, but I think they are revising their shipping methods, because the last material I received was in better shape, ALIVE, bigger plants! Right now I'm testing them about their famous sweepstakes: I'm keeping copies of everything they send me and I'm just waiting for their "final" invoice. I wish I can get back at them just for their 15 mailings of "Rush mail" "Finalist Documents" and the like. I should have listened to what my mother told me: you always your money's worth!
