Comments regarding Terra Ceia Farms

I've made several orders from Terra Ceia and I've mostly been happy. Considering the rave reviews about the size of the clumps, I was pretty disappointed with the 10 peonies I ordered in the Fall. They were quite small and it took them several weeks to complete my order.

They have now come up and to my surprise, my "Shirley Temples" are a medium to dark pink. They are pretty so I'll keep them, but they are certainly not what I ordered. Of my five 'karl rosenfield' peonies, only four came up and none set buds. I'll have to wait until next year or so to see if they are true to name.

I've ordered garden amaryllis (huge bulbs) that have not yet bloomed but are coming up nicely. I also ordered 1/2 bushel of liriope that was very good sized plugs and a fantastic value. This order also took a couple of weeks to fill.

I wanted to give them a positive so I'll try another order next year to see if it improves.

As side note, their website is very spartan and contains very little information and seems to be for ordering only. If you really need information on what they well you need to get a catalog.
