I bought a Geraldi Mulberry from Whitman Farms really not knowing much about the company. The mulberry died at the graft.
I contacted the company saying that I would gladly help with the price of the plant if they would ship another.
She emailed back saying I could pay for the ship and she would supply the plant.
Well, that has been some time ago - I have sent her 2 emails asking how to pay for the shipping. She is totally ignoring me.
Now I have a dead plant and am out almost 40.00.

I hope Dave's Garden will remove their link to her business.
I am going to try again with what I am hoping is a more reliable business - Burnt Ridge Nursery.

I find that I did receive an e-mail from this customer the morning after my dog was killed by a raccoon. After this review, I tried to contact the customer to see if something could be done for her, but she did not respond. I have now sent her a refund check for the plant.

placed a 1st time order last week for 2 dogwoods. was told they'd be shipping out monday of this week. it's tuesday, and no charge to card, or shipping email, or any explanation as to what the delay is. NOT a very good way to make a 1st impression. left 'em a msg today to cancel the order, and will be looking for a different source. one who respects my time and money.

I was excited to receive my order of three 1 & 2 gal. maples. I had read great feedback and spoke to the very nice & helpful owner. She emailed me pictures of the plants. Beautiful. However, when the trees arrived, 2 were grafts, the other a 1 gal. The tops of the grafts were crispy, all the leaves of the one gal. were brown and fell off within days. I did get a quick "I'm sorry" email, but that's it. I didn't get the impression that sending pictures of the trees out of the box would make an impression. Grafts aren't an appropriate fit into the planned area , so I am out $ and still need to replace with larger trees. I am very disappointed, I had intended to buy many more from the company.

For the record, I ordered by telephone no more than 10 minutes after I received the pictures. After several delightful phone conversations that day, I'm sorry not to be remembered as a she, not a he. However, since no one else has had such problems, hopefully it was an unusual issue. Still, at the end of the day, I'm out plants and dollars.

When this customer e-mailed to say that he had received the wrong size plant, he did not mention any problem with the quality of the plants. Had he done so, I would have replaced or refunded immediately. As for the size of the plants, he did not order soon after I sent him pics so I had no recollection what I had sent pics of and when he ordered later, I (obviously incorrectly) thought he wanted grafts. I am very sorry to have disappointed this fellow. "
