Comments regarding Ensata Gardens

These gentlemen do an excellent job in promoting Japanese iris (i. ensata) and it is one of those rare situations where the quality of nursery is equivalent to the plant material they are promoting. It's taken me a few years, but I now feel comfortable enough with their cultivation to promote Japanese iris in my area. The process is so much easier when you can recommend a quality source of plants.

I've had the pleasure of visiting the gardens, meeting the owners, and buying and growing their plants.

You can't get more value for your money from any other growers. Plant size, quality, packaging and service are top drawer but not top price.

I purchased several different daylilies from Ensata Gardens. They arrived very well packed and in excellent health. I am very pleased and recommend this company to other gardeners.

I ordered from this company for the first time this year - three daylilies. The daylilies I received were in excellent condition and quite large. I plan on ordering from them again in the future.

Great iris selection and very good service

Excellent company and I rate it highly. All of my iris plants were healthy and are doing well post planting. The customer service is great. The gentleman who returned my phone calls was friendly and experienced. There was huge selection of plant products and it was difficult to choose which specific variety. I have already recommended them to my Master Gardener friends in this community.

Great service, very large iris plants, will order next year

Ensata Gardens gave me great service. They have a large selection of Iris, daylillies, and hosta. I ordered my Japanese iris's (ensata) from Iris City Garden as their prices were better and have excellant plants and service (but a some what smaller selection). I ordered eight daylillies from Ensata gardens and was amazed at the quick timely delivery and the size and condition of the plants! I was used to Park's daylillies, Ensatas were many times larger and no more expensive. Ensata even sent me a complimentary daylilly with a catalog value of $14. ! I will do businesss with them again.

Awesome collection to choose from... and the site has illustrations of a huge variety to view :) My original list was staggering and it was difficult to pare it down to a few choices.

Definitely take the time to browse through their online catalog!

Their selection is very large, the plants were of good size and settled in nicely (despite planting off season) and the gentleman (truly) on the phone was a pleasure to deal with.

The prices are high, but the experience and product are worth it.

I have gotten several orders from Ensata, sent some as gifts to my daughter as well. The staff is absolutely wonderful, kind, cooperative, helpful. I can't say enough about the quality of their plants and their care of clients. Due to no fault of their own, I lost one plant because of drought restrictions, and there was no hesitation about replacing it.

I have had good luck with this Co.'s Japanese Irises. Pricy but the stock seems very hardy and the flowers are beautiful.

I just received my order from Ensata Gardens. In a word: wonderful! I ordered Siberian irises and daylilies and they sent a recent introduction of a Siberian. Everything looks great and I can't wait to plant them.

I love Irises and have bought from Ensata Gardens. The plants were small which I can stand but there is no warranty on any plants. I bought Strawberry Fari, which came very small. It rotted away in two weeks. They will not replace or give credit. This is the only plant I lost from them, but it was expensive - $35 for one small fan. I am looking for another source.

We are a lake and pond management Company and rely on high quality products for resale. I was very pleased with the quality, and timeliness of the plants we received. Nothing but good things to say.

I have visited and ordered from Ensata Gardens and would recommend both. This nursery is clearly a labor of love, with high quality merchandise and advice. Plan a visit at bloom time in at all possible.

I am from Indianapolis Indiana and have visited Ensata Gardens in Michigan as well as ordered some of their lovely Japanese Iris. They have a beautiful exhibit of flowers, the orders consisted of good, clean, high quality starts. I recommend.
