This is my third year ordering from US Perennials, and I’ve been very satisfied. Healthy plants, not too large (with exceptions, like the mertensia virginica just received) but very reasonably priced, and with successful subsequent growth in mixed borders as well as natural-style plantings. Securely and neatly packaged—I dropped one box on its side before opening it, and the result was only a trivial amount of loose dirt inside.

Really unique selection of plants, containing a lot of straight native species, nativars, and some non-native cottage garden-style plants. A lot of the cultivars are not commonly seen because - although the plant species are native to North America - the cultivars were developed in Europe (where the owner is originally from). Price: 5/5, extremely reasonable! Plant quality: 4/5. I've seen lusher, fuller plants, from native mail-order operations, but these are completely acceptable for the price and still better than you'd get from the bigger companies like Prairie Moon (a great company none-the-less, just filling a different niche). Packing: 4/5. Had about 2 out of ~26 or so plants spill out of their pots in transit, But coming from IN to NC, I recon that isn't too bad. Definitely recommend!

I've ordered three times in the past two years. Plant quality is excellent and prices are very reasonable. I recommend them highly.

I ordered several plants from this company for the first time this past spring. These were some of the nicest plants I have ever received through online/mail order. Everything arrived on time, very well packaged and very healthy. I received my plants before I had my beds ready (my fault) so the plants were transplanted to slightly larger pots for about a month before they could be planted into the beds. Everything survived and grew extremely well over the course of the summer. I will definitely order plants from them again. They have a really great selection and decent prices.

I wanted to fall plant some Phlox Jeana and could not find it at the usual sources. A search showed US Perennials had some in stock, quart size, at a good price. I was a little concerned at their low profile but they are close enough I could drive up and complain in person if there was a problem. There was not. The plants were shipped quickly, very well packed and arrived in excellent condition. They are true quart plants, with good roots all the way through the pot. Interestingly, they are field grown, not green house grown, so they are hardened off and ready to plant. Shipping was a little pricey but they used good materials and didn't scrimp. I've paid more for less. They are a company I will buy from again.

I was a little hesitant to order from US Perennials because there were only a few reviews and the plant selection seemed too good to be true (haha). But after reading their about page and a news article about them, I could tell they were legit. I'm really glad I went ahead and ordered, and I'll definitely be ordering more in the future. They have a great selection of native plants, including some cultivars that are impossible to find unless you grow them from seed. Prices are great, shipping was fast, packaging was perfect and the plants look great. I also received a bonus plant! Highly recommended!

Posted on April 15, 2021, updated April 22, 2021 A stellar experience from start to finish, and a model for others! The website makes ordering easy and the prices are extremely reasonable for these hard to find native plants, some of which no other nursery offers. The plants came in a huge box and looked like they had been packed a few hours before!. Not even so much as one leaf was damaged! The packaging for three plants of the same variety is extremely ingenious and virtually assures the pots are not tossed around. As if all that wasn't enough, a bonus plant was sent, the lovely Penstemon calycosus. US Perennials is a Class Act and deserves your business! Two very enthusiastic thumbs up!

On April 22nd, 2021, dave12122 added the following: I just received my 2nd order from US Perennials- another home run! I got a fabulous gift Penstemon and an extra of one plant I ordered. Everything arrived with not so much as a leaf out of place and is raring to go. The packaging is superb and keeps the plants from losing any soil. I hope others will try this superb source of native US plants and other choice non native species. A+++++++!!!!!!!!!!

Spent several hours on their site putting together an order only to find they don't ship west of the Mississippi river. Wish I was told that when I created an account. What a waste of time

This nursery is less than an hour from me so I picked up plants. Outstanding selection, great price and very knowledgeable owner. I was so happy with the plants that I have made a few orders and will place more in March when he opens up ordering for the year.
