WITS END GARDENS

Posted on May 2, 2022, updated May 6, 2022 One plant I ordered was limp, 3 were ok and one I need a magnifying glass to see. The labels are not but I would gladly trade those for better quality plants. Will not be ordering from them again.

First time ordering from Wit's End Garden since they had a great website detailing their practices and selections based on sun condition and helping beneficial pollinators. Ordered 9 plants (all in 1 box) from them which they came on time and in perfect condition. The packaging was great and kept the plants in place as they traveled from Iowa to NYC. I was happy that the plants were in great condition along with using sustainable biodegradable pots and metal plant tags which I was surprised but grateful for them. Hope to see them grow wonderfully the following year and plan to be a returning customer!

I took a chance on ordering from this company based on a recent review that I saw at the top of the GWD page one day. I am so glad I did! Not only was I able to order "off the beaten path" perennials not offered elsewhere, but the prices were extremely reasonable! Here's the thing that earns them MAJOR kudos - the post office lost my package! Despite my living only one state away from Wit's End... it took NINE days (and a re-route to Denver, CO of all places) before my package was finally delivered. I was expecting the worst but the plants were so well packaged and well watered that... THEY SURVIVED being in transit for NINE days! I can't rave enough about that! The metal plant tags were a wonderful bonus! Also, they were extremely friendly to chat with. :) Would definitely order from Wit's End again!

I ordered twelve plants, which arrived speedily, well-packed, and healthy. The roots of all plants were filling their pots -- as they should. (And I appreciate that Wit's End uses biodegradable pots.) Good selection, including a surprising number of difficult-to-find things, and reasonable prices. Very highly recommended!

The company rep was very helpful with my order. When the plants came, they were a nice size and very healthy looking. They were well packed and came planted in pots that decompose. They also came with metal name tags. I was very pleased with the order.

Ordered from this company the first time. Liked that the plants came in cowpots with metal tags. Very nice feature. Also like that packaging was recyclable. Plants available cane be harder to find and they came in really good condition. Will definitely order from them again.

I came across this nursery while looking for a source that actually had dictamnus albus plants in stock. They use pots made from dried cow dung. I appreciate that. Bonus is that each plant comes with a metal labeled plant marker. Everything seems to be $10 whether it's a perennial or a clematis which depending on what you buy can be a good deal.
