from West Lafayette, IN (Zone 5b) Back in January of 2012 I ordered 21 bench grafts from Wagon Wheel Orchard (at $10 each). Despite sending reminders in April and early May I did not receive my order until mid-May. The delay would not have been an issue, but these trees were being shipped bare root and almost all of them were leafed out when they arrived. Unsurprisingly, every single one of the trees was dead within two months. Since I really did want to support this company, rather than ask for a refund all I asked for was that the next year Rick send me scion wood for the varieties that had died. 2013 came and went, but nothing ever came. | |

from Chapman, KS Posted on December 4, 2014, updated December 10, 2014 Posted on April 24, 2014, updated December 4, 2014 I ordered and sent a check for payment to this company for 10 bench grafted Apples and Pears Trees in March 2013. I never received the order but my check was cashed that same month. I have tried to contact the company a few times but have never received a reply. On December 4th, 2014, lakenvelder added the following: UPDATE** After filing a complain with the Better Business Bureau saying he had not record of me. I explained that a check had been cashed and I can send Rick a copy and I did. He confirmed that the check was cashed at his bank and told me he would send me a refund. They had a very busy order season that year and mine may had gotten lost. I told him that was fine. I will take a refund or the trees since I really still wanted the trees. I never heard from Rick Godsil Jr. after that and still have been waiting for trees or check 6 months later. I suggest AVOIDING this company at all costs until they get their ordering system together . There are a number of other great companies selling trees. On December 10th, 2014, lakenvelder changed the rating from negative to neutral and added the following: _____________________________________________________ UPDATE*** Today I recieved a refund from Rick Godall of wagon wheel Orchard. they sell bench grafted apples and pears that are hard to find and help people that want to make a larger orchard affordable. I changed to neutral but will likley order now from Greenmantle Nursery or another due to really needing to get more trees for my orchard. | |

from Robinson, IL AVOID THIS COMPANY! I ordered 12 trees from Wagon Wheel back in 2012. When they arrived at the end of April and two were broke, I asked if they would guarantee them. They said yes but then never sent the replacements. I emailed in February the next year and he asked where I wanted them shipped (I'm guessing he had no record of my order). I then decided to send a check for 11 more trees to be shipped with the two replacements trees, partly because I felt a little bad about him losing money on shipping. He said that would be okay. That was at the end of February. I sent 5 more emails up through the end of July and never received one reply. I finally gave up. Spend your hard-earned money elsewhere. | |
