The Succulent Source

I finally bit the bullet and made an order, and it was a big one. I had been wary because they heavily market themselves as a wedding company. However, after navigating more through their site I found it shows that really isn't the case. Succulent Source is a succulent lovers PARADISE and they clearly love what they do. I don't know about several years ago, but now you can totally buy plants by exact species. You can buy potted plants, rooted cuttings, cutting, and props. You can also buy random assorted props by size, the cheapest being .67 a prop. Honestly, I was blown away by the prices, and their selection is stunning. I found whole plant families I had never even heard of before, let alone seen. $3-7 for little pots of string of pearls, lithops, corpse flowers! Extremely unusual aloes, haworthias, gasterias, just stuff that blew my mind. I bought various potted succulents, an aloe assortment (which was WILD upon arrival), a crazy red gasteria, 3 potted lithops which I have wanted forever, two air plants, and 20 sixty-seven cent succulent props, my big draw. Those were stunning! An incredibly generous assortment, both in size and species. Some big rosettes, different colors of things, extra pieces, all plump and healthy with perfectly dried ends. It all came tightly packed together in paper and it was a bit of a mess upon opening- the box also had been heavily damaged in transit. But crazily enough, nothing was hurt or even bruised. Also, I placed this order at the same time I placed about ten others from various plant and seed companies but it was the first to arrive. So, I can't recommend this company enough. It's family run, it has great prices, it ships quickly and, while messy, nothing was hurt or damaged in transit. Most importantly, the plants are just phenomenal. Everything I purchased is in my grow room, doing well so far, looking good, and making me happy.

I had a good experience with this company. They have a nice selection and are especially good for large orders, but you can't really buy certain species. That being said they were very accommodating regarding my specific requests and preferences. They were packed well for shipping, I had a few broken plants and the adolphi i received had their heads cut off so they only had side shoots (succulent lovers will know what I mean). The rest were quite nice plants and were a good deal. I let them know about the small issues just for an FYI, and although I wasn't expecting or requesting any action because over all my order was good, they did offer a discount for my next order. I would order from them again.
