Hello and welcome from IRISGAL! We are a small, hobby iris farm with about 250 named varieties, about half of which are historics. We are located in beautiful upstate NY in the Finger Lakes region, where the winters are long and cold. Our iris are usually blanketed with snow from December through mid-March, so they have proved their hardiness! We ship them to you trimmed and cleaned, ready for planting, and we always include extras!Contact IRISGAL herself with your questions about iris varieties and iris growing tips, at mary@irisgal.com

from Concord, NC We just recieved some really nice historic bulbs from here!. Mary has extremely healthy bulbs! she not only takes great pride of and pours love and care into her plants, but that crisp cold and good soil in Upstate New York makes the plants even hardier and healthier. Mary can be a little hard to get a hold of in the winter as she sells these beautiful iris from her large personal garden mostly as a hobby buisness in the summer months, so if you have to contact her in the winter try leaving a message on her phone and leave your email address and she will get back with you fairly quick within the week. We got some really rare 'Prospero' bulbs from here and she sent us some really nice blooming size extras of the variety and also plenty of babies too. She also shipped really fast and early for us as we are warmer climate so we could get them in the ground. Just a really nice person and nice buisness of rare hard to find historics and heirloom varieties that are the healthiest and grown with lots of love and care. Thanks, Mary :-) |
