from Dublin, CA Positive AND Negative. Positive: It is quick and easy to set up. And it is easy to disassemble and store. Although the coverage isn't as large as I would like (especially with the movement of the sun during the day), it is possible to adjust the height by using or not using the rod extension. Shorter height gives better shade, although not possible for tall plants, of course. After a year and 4 months of use, the main white disk seems to have weathered well so far. Negative: The top center colored disks (yellow in my case) did not weather well although apparently made of the same material. Several are almost completely disintegrated. Probably the color absorbs more solar radiation than the larger white disks - hence the disintegration. In addition, the rods do not fit snugly, so there is some wobble. I've tried to place very thin pieces of fabric in the joints and it sort of works. Note: I purchased this directly from the company on July 3, 2021 and not through Dave's Garden Website. | |
