I ordered Nepenthes attenboroughii from Jeremiah. It literally took 3 days from making the order on the website to receiving my plants. Fastest I have ever received plants online. Although I ordered one, I received 2 small plants, in the same pot. They look very healthy. The plants were covered in a wet paper towel, covered with a plastic cup which was taped to the pot, and the whole thing covered in saran wrap. This was inside a large box stuffed with newspaper. I would imagine the only thing that could physically damage the plants is if the box was completely smashed. I would definitely order from Jeremiah again!

I just received my seed grown Nepenthes villosa in the mail today from this company. It is cold here now and the plant was expertly packaged in a styrofoam box. A moist towel was covering the potted specimen to keep it and the media from falling out. It was securely wrapped with cling wrap to keep the humidity up. The little seedling looks very good. A pitcher on almost every leaf tip. Two have colored up nice and red. Live moss topped the potting media. Shipping was timed for a burst of above freezing temperatures here. I paid for overnight shipping which I recommend for any nepenthes of value if purchased during seasonally cold times even if it is a highland species. This is my first experience with the Colorado based Leilani company but I have also purchased from their store in Hawaii with equally impressive plants arriving well packed and in great shape.

Posted on April 27, 2012, updated August 2, 2013 Posted on September 20, 2011, updated April 27, 2012 Jeremiah Harris is a well-known carnivorous plant expert and founder of the Colorado Carnivorous Plant Society. He is also the continental US agent for Sam Estes' Leilani Nepenthes nursery in Hawaii. The Nepenthes that Leilani offers are Sam's hybrids, and every one is spectacular. There are many seed grown hybrids listed, as well as rooted cuttings of select varieties, plus a few species as well. I have purchased many plants through Jeremiah/Leilani and every specimen has been larger than expected, in supremely fine health and excellent value for the modest price. (Some of the "rooted cuttings" I received are huge plants over 15" tall, with several mature pitchers intact!) Great care is taken in packaging and shipping the plants and every one arrived undamaged. (Plants are shipped un-potted, with the root ball preserved and wrapped in sphagnum. It is up to the customer to pot the plants in their favorite mix upon arrival) Plants are shipped via Priority Mail and mine always arrive in 2 business days from the date shipped. (Colorado to West coast) You can't get better than that! In all, a five star experience all around: Jeremiah is responsive to questions when emailed, plants are shipped within a day or two of ordering, and the plants themselves are outstanding value. Highly recommended source for Nepenthes, without hesitation.

On April 27th, 2012, trospero added the following: I have bought many more plants from Leilani/Jeremiah over the past few months and service is always excellent, the plants are spectacularly healthy and larger than expected for the price. Larger purchases often include a bonus plant! Leilani Nepenthes nursery is highly recommended, without any hesitation. You won't be disappointed!
On August 2nd, 2013, trospero changed the rating from positive to neutral and added the following: Unfortunately, I discovered that occasionally, recently imported Nepenthes from the Hawaii nursery have Hibiscus Scale hiding in crevices and under leaves, so beware: always isolate newly acquired plants or you could find yourself dealing with a serious pest problem. Disappointing.

I ordered a few Nepenthes last Friday, they were mailed on Saturday and I received them on Monday. Now that's fast service! They were packed extremely well and suffered no shipping damage at all. All 3 of the plants have good root systems that are of a proper proportion to the rest of the plant, in my opinion. I definitely plan to order from them again. I've been growing Nepenthes for 16 years and its always really nice to find another company with superb quality and service. I'd highly recommend them.

I bought some nepenthes from them about a month ago and the plants arrived in excellent health even after travelling in very cold and snowy weather thanks to the great packaging job that was done. They arrived right on time and are doing great, happily growing new leaves and everything. Thanks Gavin from West Virginia

Ordered an N. Griffin hybrid from Leilani on Monday. Wasn't quite sure what to expect but everyone seemed to say they were a great company with nice plants. I own quite a few sundews, flytraps and even have a sarracenia and a couple of cephalotus, but I did not have a tropical nepenthes. This one really appealed to me as a hybrid freak and the price was right. Was waiting for me when I got home today, on Thursday. I ordered it potted since I don't have proper potting media on hand right now. Was packaged very well with peanuts in the box and the whole plant wrapped in cling wrap. The pitcher was smartly placed into a large plastic cup, but I didn't realize what the extra bulk was until I nearly had it unwrapped. The soil was covered with damp cloth and taped in place. I was surprised and pleased when I first really looked at it. The pitcher was larger than I had expected and I see plenty of new growths coming in. I'm excited. I put it on my window sill right next to my cephalotus Hummer's Giant with the pitcher hanging down and it looks great. Completes that little grow area nicely. Can't wait to see what it does once adjusted to its new home. Thanks for a wonderful plant and experience! Will keep you posted. :)

Just got my Nepenthes Merrilliana hybrid from Jeremiah. I've ordered a few nepenthes online recently and all were around the same price, although the Merrilliana that just came is easily 3 or 4 times the size of the other, with pitchers and is obviously quite vivacious! I've had to repot the other ones within the first week but theres ample space in this large pot and Leilani for sure didn't skimp on the substrate. It's a good mix of (what appears to be) LFS, Charcoal, Orchid bark, Peat, and small (limestone?) rocks. It drains so much better than any of the other substrates that have come with my plants in the mail. And any substrate that I've mixed up for that matter! I'll be sure to do my best to replicate it the next time I repot any of my nepenthes! The packaging was great: Super insulated with tons of packing peanuts and heat packs, as well as the plant itself being carefully wrapped in saran wrap. To top it off Jeremiah responded to my anxious email regarding a shipping miscommunication within 10 minutes with a very reassuring and professional matter! Unlike the other shippers who took days to respond or didn't at all. Anyone trying to run a similar business should take note of the way things are done at Leilani Nepenthes! They have a new customer for life!

Posted on July 9, 2012, updated September 22, 2012 This business and their service are truly incredible. By far this is the best order I ever had placed for Venus Flytraps online. I had ordered one B52 flytrap for $19, and one A2 for $18. Shipping was about $10.50. Jeremiah sent out my order on the 7th, and they are here already on the 9th. My order came in a medium sized priority mailbox, stuffed with popcorn foam to insulate, business and order information sheets, and of course, the flytraps. I was very impressed by the size and health of my B52, A2 AND a bonus Clumping Cultivar plant ($15 value), even the bonus plant was the same size as the B52 and A2. The largest traps on all of them are an inch or larger, besides the younger devisions, which look incredibly healthy. Jeremiah was very timely in responding to my emails, and kept good communication the whole two days my order was being shipped. I highly recommend ordering flytraps from this business for any uncertain buyers.

On September 22nd, 2012, Arpguitar added the following: This is just a follow up to my first review. Since I have posted the original, I have purchased all of Jeremiah's available Venus Flytraps and one of his last Cape sundews. I am so pleased with every single one of the plants he has sent me. All of them were received timely and his plants are by far the healthiest, most robust, and the best plants to watch grow and thrive. I have emailed Jeremiah several times with questions regarding the appearance and health of all of my plants. He has responded to all of my emails with excellent answers that helped me continue to grow all of his plants to their best potential. I am mainly a Venus Flytrap kind of collector, but Sundews I have been fascinated with as well. I decided to purchase a Cape Sundew from Jeremiah a few months ago. It is just as healthy as his Venus flytraps and has actually been flowering for me the 2nd time since I have purchased it back in the end of July. I am somewhat unfamiliar with growing sundews, but his email responses are what has helped me grow the sundew, let alone grow one that is doing well enough to flower so frequently! Overall, one of my greatest online experiences I have ever had. I have continued to be blown away by his flytraps and sundews, even when Jeremiah's specialty is his Neps. Truly a great grower of all carnivorous plants!

I have never received such quality, healthy, tough, large nepenthes plants from any other distributor! And the plants come with pitchers on them to boot! To top it off, I ordered two plants, and they sent me two free!! One of them being huge compared to other dealer's wimpy specimens. Not to mention I don't have to repot them because the media they are in, is a excellent nepenthes media and not the non-draining garbage you find with other companies. The packaging was foolproof and so secure As well! Everything was perfect! Thanks Jeremiah! Leilani Rocks!!

Posted on June 1, 2012, updated June 27, 2012 Posted on May 31, 2012, updated June 1, 2012 Possibly the best mail-order nursery experience I've ever had. Just everything from communication , turnaround time , packing and then there are the plants sent and what plants they are! I've been sent a bonus plant before from other vedors BUT never anything near as generous that Leilani gave me. When I need a Nepenthes fix I know where to go .

Jeremiah Harris returns E-mails in a flash . As a newish grower he never belittles my somewhat reacquiring question of (will this plant grow in my zone) ? After seeing my first 6 plants ( I only ordered four!) grow like weeds I trust his advice completely. Thanks Leilani for making my collection wild!

I must have really small hands because the plants always show up much larger than expected from the store photos. exellent packing detail. I reccomend spending your hard earned money here, a dollar or two spent xtra recives huge and very healthy plants compared to the other sites.I ordered a sundew thinking four or six inches tall, they shipped a very nice mature d.dichotoma giant (the nep. was awsome as usual too) no complaints here.fastest shipping that I've ever recieved on plants.I will be a return customer again and again.

The Nepenthes plant I ordered was shipped promptly by USPS, in a generously-sized carton, which prevented leaves from being broken. The plant was shipped bare-root, with the rootball carefully wrapped with long-fibered sphagnum, then covered in several layers of wet paper towels and finally with several layers of clear plastic stretch-wrap. The entire plant was then covered in several layers of plastic. The entire bundle was nestled in the box with packing peanuts and inflatable shock-absorber bags. The package contained a detailed receipt, clear instructions for the plant's care, and detailed instructions on how to report damage or other problems (by phone or email), as well as the vendor's card with contact info. for future reference. The plant itself was easily as large, if not larger, than I hoped for based on the ad description, and was very healthy, with numerous robust traps in various stages of development. I couldn't have asked for anything to have been better! Thanks for a great, well-shipped plant that arived in perfect condition at a very reasonable price. Know that I will be making more purchases in the very near future.

Received my order today. Took 2 days, very quick! All plants were received plus a bonus plant. After dealing with other suppliers, I was really impressed, he took the time to wrap each leaf with growth in soft wrap- other vendors just cut the blooms off to save time and cost. The wet towels were taped down to ensure maximum moisture to the plants, then each plant was carefully wrapped from top to bottom and taped to the box for extra security. It really took some time to remove all the wrapping but well worth it to some very vivid and colorful plants in excellent condition. The leafs were in perfect shape with solid growth. The sizes of the plants were at least 2-3X over other places I have done business and paid more. Thanks for the great additions to my collection. Regards, Nicholas
