Posted on February 6, 2020, updated May 20, 2021 I placed an order with them and just received the order. I ordered some sulfur, Captan, and pH paper from them. The box was well packaged and included a copy of my order form I filled out. It also had a good pruning guide, a easy to understand spray guide and a spray log to help keep track of the spraying you need to do. I didn’t order any trees from them since I have a fair number I previously grafted that I need to plant out this year as well as a few on order from another supplier. I was very tempted however. I think it is worth getting a catalog and looking at their trees. They carry apples, peaches, plums, pears, grapes and some nut trees. I found they have some things that are hard to find elsewhere. For example, they have cherries on Krymsk semi-dwarf rootstock and the new Pearl series of cherries. They also carry a very wide selection of synthetic and organic sprays. As well as other orchard supplies.

On May 20th, 2021, mroot added the following: I bought trees this year and planted them on 4/3/21. I got two sweet cherries on Kyrmsk 6 rootstock. The trees are a WhiteGold and a Black Pearl. Now over a month later the trees have leafed out and are doing great.

Got my first order and FINALLY was able to get all the trees planted. We'd had awesome weather until the day the box arrived, then we had a week of pouring rain, high winds, and overnight frosts. I stored the box as suggested and by the time I was ready to plant every single skinny stick was starting to sprout! I think the apple trees might even flower this year! Only downside to Schlabach's is that they don't do anything online, so there's a lot of back and forth through the mail. And...word to the wise...mail your order in the day after you get your mail catalog. If you wait around for a few weeks, as I did, you will find that half of what you want is already sold out, so there will be more back and forth through the mail and you will likely have to send a new check. Still worth ordering from them, though, just do it the minute the catalog arrives!

Been using Schlabach's Nursery for the past 7 years. Pros: Very competitive prices Great CS including: - Good knowledge of their trees and rootstock info - Willing to field questions regarding all backyard orchard questions for the common homeowner - The owner of the nursery has a great book available on Amazon "Backyard Fruit Production" - Great replacement guarantee if your plant/tree dies during the growing year Prompt delivery times and quality packaging Great varieties offered Cons: No webpage catalog No online purchasing or purchasing over the phone Will take checks only Purchased in the past from them: Fruit trees including: Apple, Peach, Plum, Cherry Fruit plants including: blueberry, grape, strawberry Schlabach's is the only nursery I use when adding quality fruit plants/trees to my yard. I look forward to receiving their catalog each year in December for their upcoming selections. Do yourself a favor and give them a call to get on their mailing list. You'll be glad you did. This company is a true "diamond in the rough". If you are reading this and like to shop for value...this is a good company to purchase your fruit trees or berry plants from. VERY reasonably priced when compared to other 'top dog' tree/berry plant companies. You will not find a shnazzy website since they are Amish-based, you have to request a catalog by calling them on the phone, then go old-school by ordering via snail mail and check. If you are looking to start your small orchard, buy at least 5 trees, save even more! Apple trees I planted this past spring are doing GREAT and are well branched. Blueberry plant great, Pears doing good, and although I did lose a pesky plum tree, the company promised to replace it for free with next spring's stock and said it "wants happy customers". You can't ask for more than that...they even worked with me at shipping time since I would be out of town to ship EXACTLY when I needed to plant them. These guys are top notch and are now my go-to fruit tree and berry plany company!

Ordered from them the last two years. Excellent nursery stock at extremely low prices-- well worth no email, fax, phone ordering--only snail mail as they seem to be Amish based. Best root systems I have ever seen--looks like hand dug with all roots intact. Many apple varieties but lots of different fruits.
