If only they had more than blueberries. Of all the mail order companies I have worked with, True Vine Ranch is the best. They specialize in blueberries, which they grow in Eastern Kansas, not necessarily the center of the Blueberry Belt. The fact that they can take limestone soil more often planted with wheat, milo, soybeans, and other grains and turn it into a world-class blueberry nursery means that they can help just about anyone learn how to grow these sometimes finicky acid addicted plants. I ordered three blueberry plants (two Reka, two Elliott), and they outproduced all my local nursery grown (larger) plants by far. Tanya is so generous with her time, more than willing to respond to emails or questions by phone to make sure others succeed. I have ordered from Nourse Gardens, Stark, and neither compares to the quality or care that True Vine Ranch puts into their plants and the satisfaction of their customers. I just wish they grew raspberries, blackberries, strawberries, and whatever else they could.

My experience with True Vine was excellent. Great communication, detailed instructions, fast shipping at the appropriate time, and best of all - beautiful healthy blueberry bushes. I was amazed at how big and full they were when I opened the box. I did have one plant that didn't do as well as the others, and when I contacted True Vine they promptly addressed my concern and sent a replacement immediately. All of my bushes are robust and producing berries in the first year in the ground. I am thrilled with True Vine Ranch and would highly recommend them to anyone looking for blueberry bushes.

I placed my order with True Vine Ranch last year for fall planting. Therefor, right after I planted the two plants I ordered ( duke and liberty), they went dormant for the winter so I haven't gotten to experience the fruit or the foliage yet. I am really excited to see how they look in full bloom this spring and summer though. Upon arrival, my plants were in perfect condition. Both were in well moistened soil and came with by detailed growing instructions as indicated at their web site. They were a tad shorter than I had expected. The duke was just four feet tall and the liberty was 3'10.5" . The web site indicated that they would be 4-5 feet tall for the four to five year old plants. I'm not worried though. I'm sure that's not going to make a difference in the deliciousness or productivity of the plants ;) it is definitely a good idea to shop around when ordering plants. At true vine ranch, you may feel like your paying a higher price for your plant, but shipping is free ( as long as you order a certain number of plants) my plants were fifty dollars each and I only had to order two to get free fed ex shipping. At other nurseries/farms, you may pay a slightly lower price for your plant, but a rather high price for shipping. So, it sort of evens out. Now... Here lies the difference ( I hope) as I said earlier, I haven't had the wonderful experience yet of tasting my plants "goods" because I just planted them this past fall, but from what I hear, the quality of true vines plants exceeds that of their competitors. I'll repost when I see and taste the difference come spring/summer. I'll also rate true vine ranch either positive or negative at that time... I didn't feel I could make a fair rating at this time since I haven't actually been able to see what my plants going to do yet. That's why I chose neutral for now. The ordering experience itself went well though. They were very polite, prompt and timely. I would also like to add that I have tried my luck with little plants I've picked up from garden centers in local stores and they have died every time ( and produced very scant amounts of fruit) and yes... I followed the growing instructions and had the proper ph soil. So, I'm hoping that the plants I got from true vine ranch are better quality plants and will produce much fruit for years to come. I intend to order more plants if I have a successful summer with the ones I already have... I'll keep everyone posted on my experience.

What can you say about this family-owned business? They are the BEST, in terms of providing exceptional plants AND dedicated customer service. My 40 three-year-old plants arrived via FedEx in excellent packaging; they were huge, beautiful plants that rooted almost immediately. Doug and Tonya are always available to answer my stupid questions. I would never order blueberry plants from anywhere else - they're just that good.

I've been trying to grow blueberries since I started my CSA almost 10 years ago. The plants I received from True Vine Ranch this fall are amazing - big robust plants at only 2 years old! Nothing like the tiny twigs I've been getting. The service was great - They are so helpful and easy to work with. With free shipping (if you order enough plants) and a 30 day guarantee, you can't go wrong. Well worth the money. I will definitely go back when I'm ready for more plants. I ordered 12 - 3 year old, 3-4 foot plants and arranged when to have them shipped. I spoke with Tonya to place my order and she was a true delight to work with! The plants came just as described. They were very large mature plants. I planted them as they suggested and the they are looking great. The plants have been in the ground now for about 2 1/2 weeks. So that you can see what the plants look like when they came I videoed the un-boxing. You can check that out here: //youtu.be/Z9Ba9DHhhU8 Great family, great customer service, great plants.

Just ordered some plants from Truevine and what a refreshing experience it was! The woman on the other end of the phone spoke politely and respectfully to me . She spent 15 minutes answering all of my questions about soil preparation and helped me get ready to plant. Receiving detailed planting instructions when the blueberries arrive provides little time for prep work - she ensured that I have all of the proper materials, the holes dug, and ammendments at the ready! This is a company that takes customer service and good citizenship seriously. I will be happy to support them again when I plant the next batch - either here or in a community garden. NO NEED TO LOOK ANYWHERE ELSE. Oh - their plant prices might appear higher than some of the other nursery's, but the shipping was free. Total cost - just the same. Whether or not you choose to buy from Truevine, do your research. Google the growers, it's very interesting.

I ordered 8 three- year blueberry bushes from True Vine in the autumn. They arrived exactly when we wanted them packed in a cardboard box with moist shredded paper surrounding the root systems. The plants were beautiful and even larger than advertised. We planted them according to the directions sent with our order confirmation and all the plants survived without showing any signs of stress. They have all begun to leaf out this spring and are in top health. We couldn't be happier. The free shipping on orders over $55 is a great bonus but I'd pay to have these high quality plants sent. We have ordered another batch of them for delivery the first weekend of April. This is THE place to purchase high quality blueberry plants and the customer service is excellent.

I am very happy to become the first customer and share my satisfactory experience with the True Vine Ranch. Actually I would give them an “A+” because the order I received today is far exceeded my expectation. I bought 3 blueberry plants, one of each variety. Two of them are 3 years old, which in their website described as “3~4” feet tall, whereas the ones I received are 4’10’’ and 4’2’’ measured from above the root. The other one is 2 years old, described as “2~3” feet, and mine is 3’3’’. All are with many branches with green little sprouts and looks sturdy and vigorous. The diameters at branch are between 1.5 to 2 feet. They look even better than the photos they shown as of the true size (mine look more branches and sturdy). They give free Fedex shipping for purchase order $55+. Compared to other companies or local stores’ 4-inch pot, their price is very reasonable (to me, it is a great deal). I knew blueberry plants grow very slow. Their 2 to 3 year-old plants will provide you a lot enjoyment picking your berries at the very first summer, not after two years (or dead due to less care). I have seen my friend’s 3-year-old blueberry trees which are 3 feet tall with little berries. I have no doubt I will have fruitful branches of the two 3-year old trees this summer. I originally ordered my plants from another nursery that has many positive ratings here. But as I phoned them and asked when their blue berry plants will produce fruits, I was told after two years. I was disappointed and searched this company. Their website looks true and impressive but I was with a little hesitation as there is no rating on this site. I phoned them and got through with a very nice lady. She answered my questions and assured me that these 3 year old trees will fruit this summer. So I made an on-line order four days ago and got a confirmation email of shipment the second day. They sent out my order yesterday around 5PM and I received my FedEx this morning. They were in 4 feet box but when I opened it I was trilled to see very big and healthy plants after the branches are fully stretched. I wrote so many details and really want others to have more information about this company. My experience shows that it is a very trustworthy company---shipped plants are of very good quality and as they promised. Order blueberry plants from True Vine Ranch with confidence! You will not be disappointed.
