Great place to order seeds from. I'm particularly happy with the peaches & cream corn and butter & sugar corn seeds. These sprouted in days. Its been a week and most sprouts are over 3 inches tall. No seeds planted appear to have failed. Again, I am very pleased and will be ordering more.

After purchasing a mixed variety packet (11) of herb seeds from Seed Needs via Amazon, and with the successful germination of almost all I started, I decided to visit their website and make some purchases. Unfortunately, after spending considerable time putting together a rather large order their system would not let me checkout. Of course, I sent them a disgruntled email, which was immediately responded to by the owner. It took a day to bring in the IT company needed to find resolve the issue with the shopping cart during which, we exchange several emails to keep me informed of their progress. Eventually I was able to re-enter my order as a test to verify that the shopping cart now worked. For my troubles and the delay in placing my original order, he graciously and significantly discounted my subsequent order, twice! I very promptly received my order of over 20 seed packets, very well packaged in a small, sturdy, cardboard box. Overall, I was very pleased and surprised by the owner's friendly and positive attitude to resolve this issue. My only real complaint is they don't as yet carry some tomato and carrot varieties I want. Regardless, in the future if I want to buy seeds, I intend to visit Seed Needs first to see if they have what I need. If not, only then will I look elsewhere.

This was my first order from SeedNeeds and I’m really excited. I am a very amateur butterfly gardener and am eager to master growing milkweed for the Monarchs. Since the seeds didn’t go through the natural wintering process, I am going to cold moist stratify them. I’m hoping this is the right method?? The seed packs tell you to just put the seeds in the fridge for 2-4 weeks but I have concerns that without moisture, such as placing the seeds on a damp paper towel in a zip lock bag, the seeds won’t replicate the natural moist winter environment that allows them to begin growing. We’ll see?! I’m hopeful that I’ll be reposting another great review with pics of the growing milkweed. Also—My order arrived super fast AND the packaging is just perfect!! I love the way the milkweed is presented AND I received a free package of sunflower collection that I was excited to give to my neighbor. They're teaching their son about gardening!!

Peppermint Seeds: As soon as my seeds arrived I put about half of them into the growing kits that I already own. It's been a little over two weeks and many of the seeds have already sprouted. This was my first order from this company and since it was successful I will be ordering more seeds from them in the future.

Posted on February 25, 2018, updated March 3, 2018 First time I ordered seeds came in fine at reasonable price. Just now start ing to grow them so can't give a definite answer on overall end product. 2ND order was arrived with wrong seeds. I emailed them about the mistake and they are to send me my correct seeds. Hopefully will get them soon. So I'm neutral rating till I get them and be able to start planting.


On March 3rd, 2018, dlightfoot changed the rating from neutral to positive and added the following: Got the herbal seeds I ordered and am thankful to keep the milkweed seeds that were sent to me by mistake. My catmint and catnip are coming up fine!

I love the story behind Seed Needs. I order from them every year now. They are very generous with the amount of seed per packet and everything germinates! I could not be happier with Seed Needs service, from shipping to ground. Planted the Texas Wild Flower Mix (half of seed packet) 9 days ago and have sprouts throughout my flower bed. Okay, I know I'm going out on a limb here, but can someone explain to me why seed needs has 20+ reviews in the last few days? Are they offering a special if customers write a review? I've never seen anything like this with any other company so I'm curious as to what is going on. Can anyone shed some light on this? I guess I'm just having a hard time taking this seriously.

I love their collection of wildflower seeds! I have been able to find seeds like chicory that I was not able to find anywhere else. They also have quite an extensive selection of milkweed varieties that are perfect for helping out the beneficial insect populations as well as the monarch butterflies. All of my purchases have arrived promptly and, as an added bonus, in beautifully decorated packets. Last year I tried the baby boo pumpkins and got tons of adorable little pumpkins from just a couple of plants. Seeds Needs has become one of my go-to sources for seeds.

In the last two years I’ve made almost a dozen purchases from seed needs. Not only do they have quality seeds and beautiful artwork on their seed packets, but their custermer service is also great. I’ve needed to contact them twice due to an incorrect seed packet being shipped and they were quick to offer a correct replacement which i was very pleased with. I’ve had excellent germination from all my seeds so far and can’t wait to grow the many more I’ve accumulated since last growing season. It’s a little too easy to shop there with their very low minimum for free shipping as well as their awesome selection of seeds!

Ordered some Frizzle Sizzle Pansy seeds from this company. Came in a nice padded package. The packet said 60 seeds—there was definitely more than that in the packet! I sowed all the seeds (again, more than 60 of them) into 50 peat cells, 48/50 of them now have seedlings. Many of the cells have more than one seed that germinated so I will have to thin them. But I think that was a great germination rate! Can’t wait to see the blooms. I should mention that this is the first time I have started anything from seed! I also ordered some Rococo pansies from the same company and am looking forward to using them this fall. I will be a repeat customer of Seed Needs!

I ordered and promptly received packet each of Red Habanero and Peach Habanero seeds a few months ago and germinated them in January for spring planting. I had many other varieties of peppers that were successfully germinated at the same time. I had a satisfactory success rate with the Red habs but none of the Peach habs germinated. Seeds Needs replaced the seeds at no charge and I planted them and 18 germinated 3 weeks ago. They seem to have just stopped growing and remain stunted at about 1/2" tall with no true leaves. So I had a major fail with the Peach Habaneros but a good experience with the company as initial seed shipping and replacement shipping was quick.

I’ve been ordering from Seed Needs for a year now, and love their selection of beautiful seeds. The seeds are high-quality and priced reasonably! I order flower and vegetable seeds from them because they are pesticide-free. I expecifally love their wildflower seed selection. The only issues I’ve experienced is with the beet seeds not quite growing to their potential, though it was my first time trying to grow beets. The packages are always shipped quickly & intact.

I think we spent about $45-$50 on seeds from my seed needs last spring, between two orders. Out of the ridiculous amounts of seeds we planted both in pots and directly sown, only the sticky purple geranium grew. It grew very well. Nothing else came up at all.

We constantly carry the freshest of seed stock available. We are replenishing our inventory weekly to bi-weekly and never store seeds for an extended period of time.

All of our packets are filled when the demand is high and all seeds are guaranteed to grow for up to 180 days.

If a sowing error is made, the seeds will not grow. There are several factors that can affect germination, such as too much or too little sunlight or water. Sowing depth is very important, as well as temperatures as well.

You can go ahead and check out our feedback on Amazon. we have a 97% rating, and for good reason. You can see that the large majority of comments show that our seeds are extremely viable.

I was dissatisfied with the poor damaged seeds I received after ordering seeds from Seeds Needs U.S.A. on Amazon. In corresponding with seed needs they disregarded my claim and ignored me. I left them poor feedback. Later I noted my feedback as well as other customers negative feedback was removed and the only feedback for the product was several years old. This company is dishonest.

To start, every seed is carefully hand filled so that no machines can damage or miscount the seeds that are sent. We sell hundreds of thousands of packets per year and always carry the freshest of seeds in stock as well.

If a claim was filed with Amazon, we of course have to fight it since it technically means that you might not have been willing to resolve an issue peacefully. We always have a great reshipping and refund policy for our customers. We are also very reliable and ALWAYS honest.

As for feedback removals... All feedback posted on Amazon has to be about the experience with the seller and not just the product itself. If you posted about the actual product, then the comment will be removed by Amazon after we request it's removal. Ultimately they are the ones to decide if it is removed. We have Amazon remove several feedbacks a month due to the feedback stating things such as "Seeds did not grow."

Seeds need the perfect conditions to grow sometimes, so if they are sown too deep they will not grow, if they are watered and drowned they will not grow. Etc. So that's why those comments are removed. It's not a trust issue as much as an incorrect way of posting your thoughts in the wrong area of Amazon.

As for being "Dishonest" this is not a truthful statement at all. We are family owned and operated and never have and never will take advantage of a customer. We ALWAYS provide factual details about an order and never lie.

I tried to purchase seeds of Godetia at my garden center. But, it seemed none of the garden centers carried the seed packet in my area. I went on the web and found Seed Needs and within less than a week I received the seeds in the mail. I followed the instructions on the packet and I was rewarded with with a crop of seedlings within a week. I was blown away. Since then, I have ordered a few more packets of hard to find seeds. I am really happy with this company.

Posted on May 7, 2013, updated June 4, 2013 I ordered wedding favors with SeedNeeds at the beginning of March and the transaction was immediately processed. Well, it is now the beginning of May, and I have not received any favors, nor is the company responding to my emails (via their website and my personal email) requesting an update on my order. I purchased two packets of spinach seed-Bloomfield and New Zealand. I planted them in pots, per instructions, and never even got a sprout. I informed company and they sent two more packets. Again, I planted in pots, per instructions. Again, the seeds were bad and did not sprout. I then asked for a refund-I had missed two growing seasons and wasted valuable garden space on these seeds. The company refused. I would not recommend purchasing from this vendor. Note, it was not like some of the seeds did not sprout-none of the seeds sprouted.

I must say that this customer has not provided all of the details and is not being reasonable in this current situation.

They had purchased 2 varieties of Spinach & 1 packet of wildflower seeds. First they had told me that the two varieties that had not grown were the Bloomsdale Long Standing Spinach, and the Partial Shade Wildflower Mixture.

We then offered a choice between two options. A Replacement of a fresh batch of seeds, or a refund for the product price. The buyer had chose to have a fresh batch of seeds reshipped to them at no extra charge.

They then contacted us again stating the the Partial shade Wildflower Mixture had produced, but the Spinach, long Standing had still not produced.

We have explained to them that the option was given for a replacement or a refund, and since they had chosen a replacement, we would be unable to refund the seed cost.

Why would we offer a free replacement of fresh seeds just to end up refunding the sale afterwards? We give the choice of a reshipment or refund, you chose the refund.

I do apologize but you are not being reasonable in this situation.

I always use this website to obtain seeds for my garden. Their rates are unbelievable and they ship as soon as you order. I always get my package in excellent condition and in a very prompt time. I had one problem with the postman returning my packages and they were very soon to respond. I received exactly what I ordered three days later. They are very nice and have great customer service. They even have seeds I had never seen before and I found this exciting. I do not work for them and was not paid to write this. I really just appreciate good business. Everything I have ordered so far has germinated well and I have lots of beautiful plants. I will always return here and they even send free gift seeds sometimes. It is like getting a surprise in the mail. It is wonderful.

I ordered a packet of 60 "pure white" four o'clock seeds, through amazon. The info on the packet was a little sketchy (said the spacing was only 6"....) but the internet can make up for that. I was so excited when every one of the seeds came up, because they were going to make a great addition to the all-white/hawkmoth garden in the backyard. Right now they're glorious... in full bloom. 20+ plants. The only problem is......they're all hot pink.

Posted on April 25, 2012, updated April 25, 2012 I have emailed this company twice from their form on their site. (They have no other way to reach them.) I sent a message asking a question on Friday. It was about the favors page as it comes up blank. I resent the same question late Monday in case it somehow got missed the first time around and have still heard nothing.


On April 25th, 2012, RemyO changed the rating from negative to neutral and added the following: I sent an email to the address provided and they did get back to me in a timely manner, and answered my questions. So I'm changing my rating to a neutral to not adversely affect their ratings.

I ordered from this company for the first time, and found shipping to be very prompt, and communication excellent throughout the process. Shipping costs were quite reasonable and seeds were protected in a bubble envelope for safe shipping. Seed packets contain some basic information for starting or planting seeds. Their packets do have great photos and some beautiful artwork. If their germination rates live up to their labeled percentages, these seeds are a good value. I'll try to report back later after I have some seeds started.
