Classic Caladiums

Posted on April 17, 2023, updated July 13, 2023 I've been ordering from Classic Caladiums for many years (decades?). They have a great product. I often get extra bulbs over what I ordered. I would not hesitate to order from them again. So why is this a neutral, rather than a positive, review? Their response to customer communication is terrible, which is to say nonexistent. I placed an order in November 2022. Discovered in January that I would have to move. I changed the address in my profile on my account, which I followed up with a message to them on their contact page. In the message, I provided the new address, and asked them to confirm. There was no response. Six weeks later, I sent them another message, asking them to confirm the new mailing address. Again, I received no response. Okay so it's spring (mid February) and perhaps they are busy. I went to the addresses tab on the account button, and verified the correct address was present, and that the old address no longer showed. Six weeks later, the shipment goes out to my OLD address. Fortunately I was able to change this on my FedEX account, although as I have not yet received the package, I cannot verify yet that it is going to come to my new address. It's very important that a company follows up on communication. When I go to my account, and click on the "messages" button, my messages are present, so clearly they were received. But I do question whether anyone actually looked at them. SUMMARY: Order from Classic Caladiums, get great product. Do not expect customer service to respond to you.

People: PLEASE stay away from the big box stores like Walmart that sell Caladium bulbs in a pack this time of year. It is always worth it to go to a specialist like this company, especially if you plan to save and use your bulbs each year. We need to support businesses like this that provide a huge assortment of beautiful named varieties. OUTSTANDING customer service. This is my first order with this company. I ordered 32 various caladium bulbs. In the Northeast, I need to start my bulbs inside under lights because of our short growing season. I recently requested by email that they mail out my order early. My bulbs arrived via FedEx just TWO days later. This was amazing, especially in the middle of the Covid-19 pandemic! FANTASTIC response. They were packed with care in a natural fiber. They look to be in perfect condition. I plan to be a repeat customer of this company if the bulbs are as nice as promised. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

I received bulbs from Classic Caladiums for the first time this year. They arrived when promised and all grew. I was very happy with them. The company had a large selection to choose from, and the prices, while not the cheapest, were reasonable and the quality was good. The only complaint I have at present is that for the upcoming 2020 season Classic Caladiums has instituted "free" shipping, and have substantially increased their prices to pay for it. The higher prices are especially problematic with the smaller quantity (3-bulb and 10-bulb) bags- if you order several small bags of various varieties you will be paying an astronomical price for shipping even though they are all sent together in the same box. It's disappointing but the "free" shipping may force me to go elsewhere for my caladiums.

Initially I thought my experience with this company was completely negative regarding shipping date and charges. However I was very wrong. Dealing with this company has turned out to be a very positive, rewarding experience. The problems I experienced were resolved immediately in a professional friendly manner. The caladium bulbs I received were large, firm with several eyes. I look forward to doing business with this company in the future and will certainly be recommending them to my gardening friends (I have already done so).

Dealing with Classic Caladiums has been awesome! I am so pleased and delighted with their product, huge bulbs, excellent, prompt service. I see now the difference in caladium bulb suppliers and would never shop anywhere else. The huge, colorful leaves are the highlight of my garden, and you certainly get a lot for the money! They go the extra mile every time. Love this company!

In 2013, I placed two separate orders with Classic Caladiums. Every part of dealing with them is excellent, and the caladiums are fantastic! As a result, I will be ordering more in 2014.
