Notes

Our family has been connected to blueberries since they were first cultivate by Elizabeth White in Whites Bogs, NJ. One of the first few cultivated Blueberry Bushes was named Grover. Our family and extended family has owned Blueberry Farms all around Pemberton, NJ and Burlington County, NJ. In 1934 we developed a market called Grover's Blueberries located on Magnolia Rd. and it is still operated by my great uncle Joe Grover. In 2007 my father Randy Grover Sr. started Grover's Blueberries & Seed Co. an online market place to purchase blueberry bushes and other fruits and vegetables. Our family has been in the blueberry business since the very beginning. And we have been reselling for 80 years (I do not know how others can claim to be in blueberry farming for 100 years).
Randy Grover Sr. passed away in Nov. 2013 and we are carrying on his dream to expand the business with new varieties and plant offerings and to give 100% customer satisfaction and help our customers in every way possible. Randy Sr. believed in helping those less fortunate and we continue to donate and help in different communities both local and afar.
We appreciate your business and your reviews.
Best regards,
Randy K Grover Jr.

Absolutely wonderful experience. I ordered cranberry plants, strawberry crowns, asparagus crowns, grapes, and a ten-pack of 3-year-old blueberries. Everything was large and vigorous; the strawberries in particular had the most extensive root systems I've ever seen on a bare-root strawberry plant. I also got 111 instead of 100 I paid for, and none of them were small or fragile. The grapes and blueberries were properly pruned for bare-root planting so I didn't have to top them back. The cranberries unexpectedly came as large, healthy plugs, also with extensive root systems. Overall, I couldn't be more pleased and I will absolutely be ordering from them again.

I ordered 10 of their 3 year old Blueberries on 27 April 2017, and got them on 29 April. They were shipped the same day I ordered, and tracking info was provided via email. Upon opening, they were wrapped in a wet paper towel and enclosed in plastic, with the 3 different varieties tagged for easy planting, and making it easy to give away 4 of them, ensuring I gave away 2 different varieties. They are very healthy plants, and every local nursery says you can't grow Blues here... I'm just going to have to find out Grover's has done their part, they will have me as a repeat customer

I haven't posted much on Daves Garden before but I've found the resources here invaluable. I usually like to give small nurseries and small businesses the benefit of the doubt - but when it seems like the business really doesn't care about its customers then it has no reason to exist. No small business can run with poor customer service and "I don't care about it" attitude. I had purchased a blueberry plant from Grovers blueberries last year and it went without a hitch. A nice sized plant that loved my garden and has grown nicely. Pleased with last year's plant I decided to order 3 more blueberries this year from Grovers blueberries - I had specifically listed the varieties I had wanted. I received 3 completely different varieties (of a pretty small size) instead. I called and left messages. Their email customer service is non existent and their voice calling system is a crap shoot - you don't who you'll get and whether someone will actually get your message and Followup. Even though this was really frustrating, I requested they send me the 3 correct varieties. After apologizing and promising to "make things right", I still called and spoke with at least 2 different people before they sent me replacement plants to make sure I got the correct varieties. They sent me 3 completely different and wrong varieties AGAIN. Once may be due to some operator error but twice after spending hours trying to fix their mistake is completely unacceptable in this day and age. Sorry for the long post but I wanted to list my entire experience so readers can make their own judgement. I for one will never order anything from this company again. If they can mess up a simple 3 blueberry plant order, I'd hate to have more money on the line with this company.

It was later in the season for shipping asparagus 2014 season and they ran out after I ordered online. I was told they had no more Jersey Knight asparagus crowns in a phone call and was offered a refund and I then forgot about it pretty much. But Grover's kept track and followed up and this spring (2015) and sent me my order with more than double what I ordered as well as giving me a bonus of horseradish root. All the plants look wonderful.

The experience below is almost the same as mine. I ordered three 4 year old Blue Crops and a 6 year old Extended Harvest order. I received three Blue Crops that appeared to be two year old plants, and three Northlands that are less than 30 inches tall. I have a couple of raggedy O'Neils that were end of season junk from the clearance aisle last year that were planted and subsequently moved, that survived the -32 degree winter blast we had and are bigger than anything I received from Grover's. The plants were completely desert dry when I received them, and I would be shocked if the roots survived. They were in some dry paper with plastic sheeting sort of loosely tied around it. As with the other review, these came from NC. I have contacted Grover's, but there has been no response. They advertise planting and care instructions included with every order (didn't need them), but there was nothing but the dried out plants in the box. I'm really disappointed... Hopefully they will make it right, and if they do, I will immediately report that.

I ordered the following items: 1 x 3 - 6 Year Old Extended Harvest Blueberry Bushes $65.00 1 x 3 - 3 Year Old Plants, Multiple Variety - Extended Season $29.95 The 6 yr plants according to the website were to be 40 inches tall. what was sent were 3 plants that were no more than 24 inches. I would have expected that for the 3yr plants but not the 6yr. I have sent an email to the company with no response. also the items sent to me came from North Carolina not NJ. I am very unhappy and do not recommend this company at all.

After having a pretty incredibly bad experience with Dimeo Farms, I reached out to Grover's for some advice. I can't explain how generous they were with their time, expertise and plants. My e-mail was responded to immediately with a phone number and even though it was late in the evening John Marold, the VP Northern Division, took the time to have a lengthy discussion with my family about what exactly we needed for our growing conditions. He took the time to do some research, and then sent us some beautiful, 4' Elizabeth blueberry plants. What a difference! The roots were large and well developed and the plants took right off with lots of new growth within a couple of days in the ground. Sufficed to say, my family and I will be lifelong customers and I'm clearing some ground for more blueberry and blackberry plants next spring.

I ordered 12 three year blueberry bushes and a premium soil kit. The bushes were pretty good, two died. The soil kit was supposed to come with a bag of peat and it didn't. I contacted them about this and they said they would send it. I never received it.

I recently ordered a 6 year-old early blue blueberry bush. I attempted to pay via credit card using PayPal and the site didn't let me enter the card information. I sent an email through the "contact" feature and had a prompt reply that the site was having some problems processing credit card information so they would process the order. I was notified on the progress of the order and tracking number on the USPS shipment. The bush arrived via priority mail and was in excellent condition and a nice healthy plant. I would definitely recommend this company based on my order experience.

1. I received 40 Blueberry plants. I had a negative experience on balance that altered my excitment level to start my blueberry grove. I have ordered on line for decades and never had a single problem. I would be glad to document for anyone who needs more information just to stop this kind of behavior. So if you need more documentation or doubt my word , just email me shahram.nikpay@gmail.com and I will send you my correspondence with them.. But to be brief 1. Quality plants (40 of them) was no problem. They were good. 2. So I ordered 10 Northland and 10 Bluecrop. But I also ordered 2 order of 10 each of 3 kind of blueberries, trying to get 6 different cultivars from those 20 plants 98 cultivar total). This is the wording right of my invoice. 2 x 10 PLANTS-3 VARIETIES ( 1 YEAR OLD ROOTED CUTTING'S ) $89.90 This is my request on comment section of my order on 04/14/2014 ""I have talked to customer service via telephone. So based on our conversation and of course at your own convenience, I would like to see the following cultivars in my mixed bag of 20 plants (2nd half of the order) . This of course assuming that they meet your blessing for MPLS area. Patriot and Jersey and Herbert are prime preferences and to a lesser degree Blue Ray or Blue Jay or other cultivar that you see as better fit for zone 4. Shahram,"" Instead I received 10 Late Blues and 10 Dukes. That is it! After 10+ email and 4-5 telephone conversation with the VP of Northern division!!, I had to just give up from pure exhaustion and the fact that I saw the start of a rude behavior. I never received what I asked for. I thought it is illegal to do false advertising across state lines! This company runs bush league with Inadequate ordering and inventory system . Since inventory system is subpar, they ended up shipping what they had, instead of what I asked and paid extra for. To top it off, instead of quick apology, I had to put off with less than professional behavior. They tried to pass the blame to their customer, claiming that I have ordered twice, a balatant lie and bad business mannerism. As long there is no problem , Grover Blueberries looks like any decent online outfit. But my order was screwed up by their system and result was a nightmare of calls and emails and in the end, as I mentioned I never received what I paid for. Now I realize that I might not be tough enough to do business with great folks in New Jersey! Again, I am sure I will get bunch of lies as a response on the site. So if you in doubt, let me know and I will send you correspondence that shows I am telling the truth 100%. there is no interpretations. PS. I ordered 500 strawberries at the same time from Nourse Farm. Vow such a fantstic outfit. Loved it. Respectfully Shahram Nikpay

Last year we made the mistake of using DiMeo Farms for plants. After a bad experience with them we found Grovers. We placed three orders of 10 plants each. Service was great communication was great and the plants looked awesome. Highly recommend using them.

I accidentally discovered Grover's through exploring DiMeo (the Cornell site listed DiMeo Farms as having carried plants that I wanted, but I was convinced in about 30 seconds of internet research to not deal with DiMeo). When I stumbled upon Grover's site, it seemed less professionally done than other websites. And when I received the package of 20 cranberry vines, it appeared personally sent, with hand-written address in a regular usps box. But I would have no reservations about ordering from them again - not only do they demonstrate a flawless track record, but the plants I received were absolutely beautiful and I got at least 2 courtesy emails thanking me for my purchase and alerting me when the items had shipped. I will order from them again with confidence.

I just received 3 3 year old blueberry plants from Grover's Blueberries. The plants are beautiful. The difference between these and the ones I purchased from Home Depot (for more money) are night and day. If you want some blueberry plants don't buy them from a big box store, support a family farm like Grover's. They are much nicer, healthier, and cheaper! You can't go wrong. I just planted them today so I will update when they grow.

I've been wanting blueberry bushes in my back yard for a couple of years now and this was the year I was able to pull everything together to make it happen. I also wanted bushes that would fruit this season. After looking around at garden centers and local nurseries, I found Grover's online. From my initial phone calls with them, to eventually picking up my plants, I found them to be knowledgeable, helpful and easy to work with. I originally wanted three plants, but ended up getting five, all strong and healthy looking. The next day I planted three, and when I removed them from the pots, I noted the roots were long and vigorous. One plant I gave as a gift to a neighbor and the other I'm giving to my mother for mother's day, the one called "Sweetheart". I am so excited (!) to finally have my blueberries and looking forward to eating from the bushes. Thank you John and Candace for making this purchase such a positive experience for me.

I ordered 3 three year old blueberry bushes and a couple days later they put them on sale. When i asked if i could get the sale price, they gave me 4 year year old bushes. Then when the bushes were not as big as they liked, they mailed 7 of them to me for the same price. I could not have dreamed a company would have cared about a sale of 3 bushes. I thought the bushes they sent me were very nice. I would encourage any one to buy off of Grovers. I know I will.

After spending so much time online searching for mature blueberry plants for sale, I finally came across Grovers Blueberry and Seed Company. I ordered 10 plants and could not believe the quality of the plants and the amount of fruit they produced the first year. I am so pleased with my initial order that I have just placed a second order for 12 Cranberry Plants. Great supplier with quality products.

Got four great blueberry bushes from Grover's last year, and the update is that they are all thriving and have doubled in size (except for one that I killed myself, by accident!) Am reordering from them again this year. They are very cooperative, helpful, and down-to-earth (no pun intended!).

I purchased larger jersey bushes and small duke and elliot bushes early this past spring (it is now late September). The duke and jersey took very well but the elliot did not take so well and I pulled them out. I also purchased 10 raspberry bushes and they did very well and I have been enjoying the berries for the last month. I would recommend this seller and use him again if I need to purchase more blueberry bushes. Randy Grover was very informative.

BUYER BEWARE of Grover's Blueberries and Seed Company. I made a very bad decision and did business with this guy Randy Grover of Grover's Blueberries which was a very big mistake becuase the plants he sent us were just horrible. They looked like they were diseased. To start, the Grover's Blueberries website is very misleading, as is Randy Grover who said that he would be mailing us 3 year old plants, but what he actually mailed us was more like 10 little 6" sticks in a small box in the mail. It looked like and sounded like a great deal at first, but now I regret it. We were totally mislead and are very sorry that we did business with Grover's Blueberries. We strongly caution BUYER BEWARE of Grover's Blueberries and Seed Company. Save your money - don't get fooled like we did. This a warning to others considering doing business with Randy Grover.

I guess DiMeo decided to take one of his 100's of negative reviews and pasted it here to try to mislead our potential customers.
We here at Grover's Blueberries do not spend 1000's on advertising and negative SEO tactics and create multiple websites to try to trick customers into doing business with us. We believe in actually treating our customers with respect and appreciation and have them return over and over again being 100% satisfied. We do not pay for positive reviews and do not slander even the worse of competition. However, since I am on the soap box, people please check Reviews, Better Business, and other sources before making purchases. And one more thing, those who claim to have been in the Blueberry Farming Business for 100 years.. check the story because Grover's have been there since the Blueberry Bushes were first cultivated in 1914 by Elizabeth White in Whites Bogs New Jersey, even having a variety named after us. So I do not know how someone had a blueberry farm when they were not even in mass production yet.
Best regards,
