Pam at Angel Gardens is excellent to deal with. She goes way out of her way to be helpful and is propagating a rose for me that she didn't have for sale. Many nurseries will not do this and she does it for a very reasonable fee. It's not often you find a business person who is, both, knowledgeable and honest and I'm thrilled I found her by searching online for roses. I see a negative post concerning her and I find it impossible to believe. I think the person is bad tempered or just impossible to please. From my dealings this lady is savvy and loves to satisfy her customers. I highly recommend her.

Pam was great on the phone and email in responding to my questions, letting me know what she had in stock. I ordered several Austins' from Pam for shipping in November, and they came very well packaged and 2 days faster than expected. I ordered all quart size - the prices were amazing - and the plants looked great, all had several stalks and lots of leaves. Thanks to Pam's great service, and selection I have ordered 15 more, a selection of Austins' and OGR's for spring 2017 shipping (per my request due to my zone). Amazing communication and very helpful. I will update again in spring when I receive the others I have ordered, although by then I will probably be up to 20!

This company is great if you want a personal touch and helpful suggestions concerning selections. Pam was very communicative and the plants I received were healthy and of good size. It is great to do business with a small nursery that has a passion for what it grows.

I was looking for David Austin's today in my area and called to make an appointment to see Pam. She had 2 and I certainly wanted them. When I got there, she had the 2 I had mentioned ready for me. I assured her that I was going to take full advantage of my appointment time and wanted to look at more roses. I came home with 11 roses and a treasury of information that I needed to improve my skills at caring for them. She gave me information about planting roses here in North Central Florida along with information for growing roses organically. I was so very pleased with my visit and all she had to offer. I find her knowledge of growing roses here to be invaluable.

Pam is wonderful!! She recommended the perfect climbing rose. She took my order and shipped the roses quickly. Everything was packaged well and arrived in good condition. I wish I would have found Angel Gardens sooner. Now Pam has agreed to propagate 3 more roses for me!

I had a wonderful visit to Angel Gardens today. Pam was very helpful and educated me on how to grow roses. The breadth of her collection is amazing with beautiful roses growing everywhere. I fell in love with the David Austin roses and she had a very broad selection to choose from. I felt that her prices were very reasonable and her plants are very healthy. I can't wait to visit her again once I've settled my new roses in.

Posted on July 5, 2012, updated February 6, 2013 As a novice, I stumbled across the Angel Gardens Website in late March or early April of this year. As luck would have it, The Rose Lovers Gathering event was to happen in a few weeks. So I called and reserved two of the Large "Pick-up only" roses. When the "R.L. Gathering" day arrived, I couldn't wait to get there (Alachua, Florida - about 75 miles from where I live) and see all the beautiful roses from the website in person. There were beautiful roses everywhere! Unfortunately, people were snaping them up quicker than I had expected, and I was unable to buy all the roses on my list. Now, I know enough to call Pam in advance with what I want. I ended up buying about 12 roses and having a REALLY FUN day. Ruth Knopf and Peggy Martin were there and gave wonderful slide shows. And I won a little "Peggy Martin" rose on the raffle table. I went back a second time and bought another dozen or so roses, and they are so healthy and doing beautifully. I am amazed that once I put them in larger pots, most of them have doubled and some have tripled in size - in just 8 to 10 weeks. The little 6" x 6" "Peggy Martin" is now 16" tall by 32" wide. I have followed Pam's recommendations, and am growing organically, as she does. I just know that is why I'm having so much success. One more thing - Pam is just WONDERFUL to work with. If she is sold out of something that you want , or if it is too small to sell at that time, she tries really hard to have it for you. Some of the roses I had wanted on my first visit - were there for me on my second trip. With the hundred or so people at the Gathering, I don't know how she remembered I wanted Petite Francois and Vinyard Song ... but she did!! And now their beautiful little blooms brighten my days immensley. So yes, I recommend Angel Gardens highly!

I am so impressed with the knowledgeable attention I received, and the help making wise selections for my growing conditions. The plants purchased in the past are continuing to thrive. I am just amazed that the plants I bought 10 months (or less) ago have grown so large. I look forward to a long relationship with Angel Gardens!

I recently received my first order from Angel Gardens -- and I am totally pleased. Within two days of placing my order on their website I was contacted by Pam, the owner. She remained in contact with me about my order and I can't say enough about how much I appreciate this level of commitment to customer service. The roses arrived in the specified time and they were both healthy and actively growing. One of them, a polyantha I had been looking for called PHALAENOPSIS, was already blooming. I intend to order from Angel Gardens again next season and look forward to more quality roses.

I just joined the American Rose Society and this supplier was mentioned in the newsletter. I could not believe the selection of old garden roses and promptly placed an order for 4 roses. I was suppose to get 10% off, being a member of ARS and I did mention this in the comment section, we'll see if I get it. I will update this upon arrival of my roses. I feel very POSITIVE so far!!

I have to begin with the admission that I have 2 "brown thumbs". I buy plants, put them in the ground, and then forget to water or take care of them - I just expect them "grow, darn it!" I tried a rose garden years ago, but each plant succumbed to heat, bugs, fungus, too much sun, not enough water, you name it. So imagine my fear when my sister gave me 3 rose plants from Angel Gardens as a gift. I just knew that if I could not care for "easy to grow" plants, how on earth would I grow roses propagated in North Central Florida down here in Zone 10 South Florida? Well, Pam Greenewald and Angel Gardens changed all that. I have 30 plants in containers, since due to my schedule, I have not had (or made) the time to create the rosebeds. Pam has advised me over the past 2 years on how to keep my roses healthy and happy. She has provided, located or propagated varieties that I had on my wish list, all of which were beautiful, healthy, and well cared for. She has educated me with expert instructions and advice, and answered my requests and crazy questions as completely and quickly as humanly possible - email replies sometimes within minutes! I feel that if anyone has not received a reply from her, they have not yet asked the question or made her aware of a problem! I foolishly ordered a couple of plants from other sources, but none of them thrived like my Angel Gardens plants, and are now dearly departed. I will order only from Angel Gardens from now on! Pam is truly my Rose Angel and I credit her with any success I have had with my roses. She may turn my brown thumbs into green ones after all.

I have purchased roses from Angel Gardens for several years. I have ALWAYS had a very positive experience with them. When I first started growing roses, Angel Gardens guided and helped me. They have always treated me like a friend instead of just a customer. When I receive my roses from Angel Gardens, they are always packed well. It is easy to see the painstaking care and packaging that these roses have been given. On their packing slip, Angel Gardens has a statement to contact them if their is something wrong with the order. I have never had a problem, but I'm certain that if something were amiss, Angel Gardens would rectify the situation. Every rose that I have purchased from Angel Gardens has done exceedingly well and has the most beautiful blooms. Some roses I received from elsewhere did not do well at all, nor were they packed well. I have asked Angel Gardens for roses that were not in stock. They have custom-propagated them for me at no extra charge. There are other nurseries that add around $50.00 to custom-propagate a rose to the price of the rose. Last Fall, I purchased a rather small rose from Angel Gardens because it was the only one they had in stock at the time. It arrived as a little twiggy plant with a few leaves. That plant is now 3 feet tall and about 2 feet wide. Everything starts out small. However if you care for it properly, it will grow. If the person who is so unhappy about the Cinderella's Fairy Tale rose doesn't want it, she can send it to me. I'm not afraid to care for it. I can't imagine why anyone would say that they had a bad experience with Angel Gardens unless they didn't tell Angel Gardens that there was a problem. That is their own fault, not that of the vendor. One can't fix something if one doesn't know about it. I will happily continue to do business with Angel Gardens, hopefully for many years. They are my favorite nursery and I would give them an excellent rating on every aspect of doing business with them.

We have purchased over 200 roses from Angel Gardens and have done business with them for fifteen years. We have always received impeccable customer service and healthy, high quality plants from them. They have gone above and beyond to teach us how to care for our roses. They have made it clear that they stand behind their roses and will do everything possible to make things right should we have a problem with anything they sell us, however we have never had a problem with their products or service. We will continue to do business from Angel Gardens because of their quality and integrity.

Posted on June 1, 2011, updated June 1, 2011 Ordered 4 roses, although it took a few days of emailing back and forth to determine substitutes for roses not available (either by correct size or specific rose). She was reluctant to send a refund as I suggested, so we finally decided on which roses to send according to the amount I had paid her ($110.00). I recieved 4 roses as follows: 1 large Marie Pavie (healthy and growing in my garden). 1 large Cornelia alive and planted in my garden. several nice blooms have emerged even though it hasn't increased much in size. 1 Jean La Joie miniature climbing rose. fairly tall single stem, completely leafless when it arrived. planted it in the garden and keeping my fingers crossed. 1 Cinderella Fairy Tale Rose A mere 4-inch tall, totally leafless stem planted in a LARGE pot as to appear as, and sold to me as a large size rose. It is starting to leaf out but hasn't gotten any taller. I'm hoping it will eventually get big enough in the pot this summer to plant in my garden this fall to over-winter in my zone 5-6 garden. Paid her $110. Shipping was $43.00. Did I get $67.00 worth of roses in this deal ???? She seemed to be under alot of stress due to her open house that weekend, and said she would probably sell most of her roses at the open house prior to shipping my roses. Appears I got a couple "left-over" twigs, even though I paid full price for good size roses. She sounds decent on the phone, but too bad she didn't make it a positive buying experience for me. Should I say I was cheated ??? Since she didn't want to refund my $110 payment, I'm just glad I got two good roses out of the deal. As least I got something.

On June 1st, 2011, sunsign5 added the following: Let's just say I got ALOT of dirt and pots, but not much rose, for my $110.00. Needless to say, Angel Gardens is on my NEVER BUY FROM AGAIN list.
Company representative comment on June 3, 2011:
On Jun 3, 2011 2:05 AM, Angel Gardens Inc. responded with:

I feel compelled to answer the negative slanderous charges leveled against me by this former customer. I have always prided myself on excellent customer service and this thing just threw me for a loop. After 16 years as the owner of a successful garden shop and another 7 years growing and selling roses, I have Never had anyone ever attack me like this before. The old saying "You can't please everyone all the time" comes to mind.

I would like to address the charges one at a time.

I am guilty of having longer than a week pass by before responding to the order as I was preparing for my 3rd Annual Rose Lover's Gathering and I was overwhelmed at the time. Anyone ever find themselves in that situation where you can heardly come up for air? So when I did respond with a request for any substitutions for a couple of the roses (I had 3 out of 4 by the way), I received an impatient and abrupt email asking for a refund of the full amount.

Because the customer was obviously pissed off that I had taken too long to ship or respond to the order, I attempted to appease her with kindness and apologies and promises to ship as soon as was possible (which I did). She did not have a problem with any of it after that as communication was what she needed and we were having that.

I only mentioned my Event sales of the roses as I wanted her to go ahead with her choices instead of waiting until after the event so she could be sure to get the varieties she wanted. I was thinking I was doing her a favor to send the small Cinderella Fairy Tale as she had really wanted it and I did finally find a small one which had recently been stepped up into a gallon pot. She was charged only for the quart size by the way, not the gallon, so no cheating there. I would normally have never sent such a small rose but I knew she really wanted that variety and I was trying to please her.

The Jeanne la Joie which was a decent size left here in good condition in a gallon pot and was healthy when it left. It went a long way from Florida to Massachusetts and sometimes roses will suffer some stress in the heat over such a long distance. I am sure he will survive and thrive.

I did send 2 large 3 gallon sized roses which she seemed happy about.
She had actually originally ordered a quart of Marie Pavie which I did not have, but I had a nice big 3 gallon so she was happy to take that instead. I probably pulled the rootballs from the pots to save her money in shipping and this is where her comment about getting "alot of soil and pots" must have come from.

I would also like to comment that my roses are organically grown on their own roots which is a slower process than budded roses and chemically maintained roses. It is slower and healthier in the long run. The customer's impatience with my response to her order is continued with her impatience with my roses, demanding them to grow FAST or something is obviously wrong. This is a myth. They grow slow and sure, much more disease resistant, naturally not becoming monsters.

All of this transaction went smoothly and I even received a very nice email from her a few days later which I would like to quote
here: "Hi Pam, Thrilled with the roses I received today. Got them all potted."

So you can imagine how I felt when I was informed by Dave's Garden that I had a negative review. It was very hurtful to me not only to see my efforts at bending over backwards go so totally unappreciated, but to see that someone who was unhappy did not have the decency to call or email me privately to discuss their feelings about an order and instead felt the need to spew insults and slander at me (after only speaking to me for a few minutes over the phone and a couple of emails as if she really knew me well enough to ruin a 22 year (Good reputation) on line to the World at large.

I will be the first to admit that I am not perfect (Is anyone?) but I try my best to do my best. I consider myself very honest and sincere. I publicly apologize if anything I said or did offended this person in any way. I would have done the same had she contacted me of her now horrible experience (This happened a month ago). Instead she said she was "Thrilled". How was I supposed to know? She assumed things without getting the facts first.

It's funny, she knew nothing of my efforts at starting a new local club for Old Garden Rose lovers, all the time and energy we have put into planting and maintaining a Memorial Rose Garden at our local Hospice, all the donations of roses I have sent all over the country to rose societies, raffle roses donated at meetings, articles written, all the free knowledge I have tried my best to spread the Good News about roses to novices and fellow rose lovers. Most of all, she knew nothing of my heart and soul and my deep Love for God , my wonderful family, Roses, and all people who love roses. She knew nothing.

I am very pleased with the 4 roses I ordered. The gallon sized plants arrived in wonderful condition. They were packed securely and incurred no damage in transit. Pam was great to work with, and she notified me of the date the roses would ship. With their outstanding service and terrific plants, Angel Gardens has become a new favorite source for roses.

I ordered only one band size rose from Angel Gardens, as a "test", since I was worried about shipping from FL to CA. Rose arrived within 10 days of ordering and was in excellent condition. The size was good, soil intact, leaves in great condtion, and good root system. Will definately order from them again.
