from El Sobrante, CA (Zone 9b) I recently ordered three ferns from Foliage Gardens. The plants arrived today in good shape. Sue is very helpful and knowledgeable about ferns, and has some unusual species available which I have not seen other nurseries offer for sale. She has also recently published an excellent book on ferns "Encyclopedia of Garden Ferns" published by Timber Press (ISBN-13: 978-0881928198), which makes a great companion to the other fern books from this publisher. On August 29th, 2007, Cretaceous added the following: I have just received another three (hard to find) ferns from Foliage Gardens, and again the plants were healthy, well packed and arrived in great shape ! | |
