Notes

I am, Holly Eads, one of the authors of ‘A Gardener’s Journal: Plan, Plant, Grow.........Record the Results!'

I like to refer to it as a "Do it Your Way Journal"

We have been selling this Journal system since 2006 to gardeners in 48 states, England, Australia, Canada & Bangkok. As of October 2010 - over 450 have been sold.

We print on USA made paper with USA made ink.

The specialty of this journal is that it is set up in a format that allows the journalist to assemble the binder ‘their way’ AND is also a LIFETIME journaling tool because the owner can add to it forever.

All of the pages are on 8 ˝“ X 11” high quality paper and are 3 hole punched. Having the larger pages provides plenty of space for notes, photos, drawings, etc. With many different charts and forms the journalist can record and reflect on anything from keeping track of plant orders/replacements to comparing 50+ years of growing seasons.

How can a gardener keep records for so many years? With the flexibility of this format, the journalist can reorder just the pages they need and continue recording for as long as they want and even pass the journal to the next generation to continue.

As the binder gets full, pages can be removed and filed in storage. Using the same forms year after year makes it easier to find and read what happened in the past and look at plans for the future.

We designed this journal to make it useful for ourselves because we could not find one that met our needs. Others asked about the journal and wanted one. So we are publishing it to sell.

Buyers have a choice. It is sold in several formats ready to put in the journalist’s own binder. Or it can be purchased with a complete binder and includes dividers, pencil case and more.

Complete Journal information & more about the authors are available at: http://www.JournalPros.com

Helping to make recordkeeping fun,
Authors: Holly Eads & Jodi Benedict

I purchased this 'lifetime' gardener's journal just before Fathers Day this year as a gift for my fiance. It wasn't just a Fathers Day gift, but a gift to celebrate one of the most beautiful days of our lives exactly one year earlier, ironically that day was June 15th. It was one of those days that you spend with your loved one enjoying nature- ducks, streams and everything green. . and I knew I wanted to spend the rest of my life with this person. We plan to marry on this day. When it came time one year later to get him a gift, I had no idea what to get for him. One thing's for certain, I wanted it to be truly special and I wanted it to last a 'lifetime'. I also knew that I needed to help him get organized! That's when I found A Gardener's Journal, the only one of its kind. Because it was to be a very special gift, I had a few questions for the seller before and after I bought it and as a result, I received the best online customer service I have ever experienced. It was quite simply the smoothest transaction I have ever made online and then when I received the journal, promptly and carefully packaged I might add, I was even more impressed. Everything was incredibly organized and came with even more than I realized, as it is difficult to see all the details on these computers sometimes. Though the illustrations and tips on some of the pages are quite unique, it is my opinion that they have a sort of Mollie Katzen 'feel' to them (because of how they are hand drawn from the heart I guess), my absolute favorite cookbook author of all time! It just goes to show you we are all sisters here. . and the creators of A Gardener's Journal have truly brought something unique to this world. If you are considering purchasing this journal, don't hesitate. I would recommend it to anyone- with or without green thumbs! :-)
