I inquired about Peony 'God of Longevity' as a gift. It was spring and shipping wasn't until fall. I had forgotten about it, when I received an e-mail in the fall, saying it was ready. I then received e-mail updates. On arrival, this plant seemed a few years old with three stems, my guess is a 5-gallon in nurseries. Amazingly, our plant came with a gift plant, which was an unnamed tree peony. Nice service, prompt shipping, good quality. I want to order more.

Our garden club's community service has been to develop and maintain a public garden at our local museum. We wanted to add some tree peonies and so we contacted Idlewild Farm for help. WE ARE SO GLAD WE DID! Never have I had sure personal customer service from any company. Every question that I had about peony cultivation was answered and helpful advice was given when requested. When our order arrived, the peony plants were large and well formed and the roots were healthy and full. The shipped plants were properly marked and detailed planting instructions were included. An extra peony plant was included at no charge! I will definitely be ordering more peonies from Idlewild Farm, not only for our museum project, but for other gardening projects in which I am involved.

I ordered 3 tree peonies from them in the fall. I was surprised at the size and quality of the peonies they sent me. I placed my order very late in the ordering season so I figured I would get the smallest of what was ordered cause all others were claimed. That was not the case at all the plants were very large and great big roots. This spring the plants have multible buds on them. One plant a Dou Lu (Pea Green) had 16 buds on it. It is amazing. I am wacthing all 3 bloom right now and they look great. This upcoming season I will be ordering more Tree peonies from them. I can't stress enough how good the quality of the plants they sell are. I ordered 1 tree peony and 1 herbaceous peony last year, and received 3 big and healthy peonies in the fall. They sent me a big tree peony as a gift plant! This spring all the peonies came up looking happy, and both of the tree peonies have flower buds! I contacted the owner by phone asking planting questions, and he was very friendly and helpful. This is a great company. I'm planing to order more peonies from them this year.

I ordered a tree peony and received it in a timely manner. The plant was large, healthy and in very good condition. I would order from here again.

This fall I ordered tree and shrub peonies and received the plants in a very prompt and timely manner. Plants were packaged beautifully, therefore no damage to any stems. These were the most healthy plants I have ever received through an online order. This was a very positive experience for me and I highly recommend this seller.

Ordered Clivia (victorian peach) as cold weather was coming to my area. Bare root plant arrived showing no signs of temperature stress. Excellent packing, reasonable price, excellent service. I will spend my money here again.

I recently ordered a blooming size clivia (Victorian Peach strain) from Idlewild Farm. The plant arrived in excellent condition with a very healthy root system. I was impressed with the attentive service of this company, as the staff emailed me personally to indicate when the plant would be shipped. And when the credit card payment didn't process due to technical problems, they decided to ship the plant to me anyway, even before my check payment was sent out. I high recommend this company!

I had quite a few questions for the folks at Idlewild before I even ordered from them. Without the promise of an order they answered my questions via email with patience and in great and helpful detail. I did place an order. I received frequent updates on its status and it arrived in beautiful condition, both full sized plants and seedlings. I hope to continue to order seed and plants from Idlewild in the weeks and months to come. They have been fantastic!

I recently received a yellow/orange tree peony from IDLEWILD FARM INC. and i was very pleased with the plant. The tree peony had 5 stalks measuring 2' tall with foots 1' deep. Have bought several clivia seeds from this nursery. Seed were fat, fresh, very healthy and very quick shipping. Reasonable prices on seed - very important to someone who wants to start a quality collection.
