The creator of Down to the Roots magazine has truly put her heart and soul into a fine magazine. One of my favorites. In fact I have stop buying some of the magazines that I thought I had to have. And I was wondering way, its contents. DTTR has issues that I have really tried and will try. My old issues of other magazines just lay (stacked ) untouched. Pretty glossie pictures along with ads that you have to go through to read just a tad about something don't cut it anymore. If I want homestead, I want to do homestead . Not just look at pictures. DTTR is detailed in projects from knitting to butchering to making a kids game. Instruction and how to's that make the reader want to give it a try. A willow chair is something I really want to learn to make, theres instructions in the magazine that makes this project doable. Yep this is my favorite magazine, one that as I read I feel the energy of the author that she is right there sharing the way to the good life of doing things for yourself no matter where you live in the world, in city or country . A magazine that has backup if I need help. A magazine that has real substance. A treasure of workable art that keeps growing and growing.

I'm always excited to receive the Down to The Roots magazine in my store as it sells out as fast as it comes in! I enjoy reading it too. There's always a wealth of useful information even though I live in the city. Keep up the good work, we love your magazine!!!

I just received my first issue of Down to the Roots. I haven't *devoured* it completely yet, but I LOVE it! I spin my own wool and knit and enjoy other fiber arts, and my husband enjoys gardening, so we're looking forward to learning the great things you have to share with your readers. Keep up the good work and congratulations on a great magazine! Shari from New Jersey

DTTR Mag is one of the best magazines I have ever subscribed to. Each issue is stuffed full of information, patterns & recipes. This publication is a must for not only homesteaders, but rural gardeners & city dwellers too. There is something for everyone in this magazine! I am also pleased with the people who run it. If a problem happens to arise, they are friendly & quick to resolve it! I hope to remain a subscriber of DTTR Mag for a very long time.

I love Down to the Roots Magazine! I am a city kid and I find most every article relevant even to my lifestyle. I can't wait to get my own farm so I can try out all the livestock tips and get going on making my own home died wools and yarns. This magazine is so easy to read and anyone who wants to be self-sufficient or is thinking about simpler living has got to get this! Also, no adds!!! What a great idea.

I have every issue except for the very first one and can say this is an outstanding quarterly publication, which teaches you in plain and simple English *how to* do just about any homesteading thing you can imagine, all related to living sustainably, responsibly, organically. Lots of pics, too, for those who benefit from *doing by seeing* or by example. What I like best is that the author writes from personal experience...this is a magazine put out by someone who lives and breathes every part of what she writes, which is a testimonial in itself!

I have found that each issue of Down To The Roots Magazine gets better and better! But don't let that mislead you... I just purchased the last of the back issues to complete my DTTR collection. I didn't want to miss a thing. Every issue includes something for everyone, livestock, gardening, cooking/preserving, crafts, first aid, natural home cleaning, personal care and so much more! If you haven't seen it yet... order your sample copy today!

Down to the Roots magazine is absolutely fantastic. When I read the first issue I was hooked and wished I'd found it sooner. The articles are written for the average person and are realistic too. After reading Down to the Roots I feel more positive and determined to finally get my homestead no matter how long it takes.

I've enjoyed DTTR from it's inception! It's the kind of "good information" magazine that I'd write with none of the pages and pages of commercial stuff you get in all the other back to the land magazines. And even the articles that don't pertain to me I enjoy just for the good reading, entertainment and humor! And with over 40 years of homesteading under my belt I must say that the information they present is correct and to the point. Now if I could only get the magazine for free it would be perfect! lol

I love this magazine; it is a great learning tool and has been a godsend in my quest to become self-suffient and farm organically. I find the magazine to be well organized, full of very useful information, and best of all, no ads amid the articles.

I have been receiving this wonderful magazine for several issues now. All I can say is WOW!!!!! I have never seen anything as information specific as this one is. If there is an article, it is just not a passing mention. There are photographs of the entire project from start to finish. No guess work. Also ideas on how to do things that. The author is also available for questions. I will never let my subscription lapse.
