I ordered this magazine back in Feb 2007. I sent the payment through paypal. I have yet to receive the magazine. I have called Mr. Blanton and left several messages on his answering machine and I have emailed him severl times also. He never once responded to my email or messages.

Ordered magazine 5/22/07; check cleared my bank 5/30/07. Sent handwritten requests for shipping date on 7/10 and 8/2--no response to either. After finding an e-mail address and phone number, I tried again. I received no response to the e-mail; and a returned call from J R Blanton about a week later. He said I could expect the magazine after all the Regional info was in--guess those were really late this year! On10/14 I sent another e-mail requesting the return of my money. Mid November I received the June-July issue; two additional issues were also due at that time. Now still another one is due. I would still like the refund of my money. This is not an acceptable way to do business. If this is the way Mr Blanton conducts business with all of his customers; he soon will witness the demise of The Daylily Magazine.

I also received the June/July issue the last half of November. I honestly do not think this magazine is worth the $25 yearly subscription. Half of the 30 page magazine seems to be advertisements for daylily farms that you can easily find on the internet. They also use up alot of pages by putting only two pictures to a page. There was a total of only three articles to read, and a huge two page layout for their 'daylily photo contest' where the winner gets the prize of having their winning daylily photo published in the February issue....(they could have offered a free year's subscription...yuck...or a gift certificate to one of the many dayliy farm they advertise to fill their magazine up with). I will not be renewing this subscription....waste of money...I wish I would have spent the money on another daylily plant instead.

I can understand it must be an enormous task to start a new magazine, plus regular everyday responsibilities, and it has to be taking alot of his time and work to do both. But I honestly feel that when someone makes a commitment and accepts money for a product and then doesn't deliver that product as promised, then the money should be refunded with an explanation, or at least an apology. Your talking $25.00 a person here. I don't want to make anyone angry, but if you ordered and sent in money for certain daylilies that you wanted, and then you only received one plant and no response to your emails,.....well, you know you would never order from that place again or recommend them to anyone. I'm sorry....but I really don't see any difference here. I am keeping my rating of the Daylily Magazine at Negative.

My father and I had paid for a subscription in July of 07 and still to this day have not received one magazine and when we call them or email them we NEVER hear anything back. I dont know of anyone else who has had any experience with this site and magazine but i am not very pleased with them. Also we tried to get paypal to refund us our money for the subscription adn they said because the company is not affliated with them or connected to them in any way they can not refund our accounts. Paypal did however make an account on our complaint and if they recieve further complaints, will investigate them. All in all a very bad experience.
