On 7/1/07 I ordered a grape ivy plant on EBay from this business. By the end of July, with no plant received and no word from them, I began to try to contact JWDOBBS. My e-mails were ignored so I phoned the business. His daughter answered the phone, and when I inquired about the plant, I heard her say to her father, "It's a lady about a plant she ordered. Should I hang up on her?" She did just that and they refused to answer the phone the rest of the day. WHAT A SLEAZE! I will never order anything from EBay again!

I ordered plants from Mr Dobbs last winter expecting to receive my plants in the spring. Spring came and Mr. Dobbs said he had ants in the greenhouse. My plants will be shipped shortly. They never shipped. I asked for a refund and he totally ignored me. I contacted the Alabama Better Business Bureau. They contacted Mr Dobbs but he never responded so they dropped the case. What a joke! The guy is an arrogant jerk. Hopefully some day I will run into him. I don't recommend anyone doing business with this jerk!!!!

I ordered some houseplants (ferns and others) from this company a year or so ago. They arrived quickly and in great condition. Packaging was just great. I thought they had a nice selection and very reasonable prices compared to local nurseries. The plants are still thriving. I would definitely order from them again.

I have been waiting over a month for my plants and the shipping cost more than all of the plants that I ordered. This is ridiculous and I would urge everyone not to buy from this store.

On June 2nd, 2007, drroha changed the rating from negative to positive and added the following: The plants arrived today and they were beautiful so I am changing to positive, they were worth the wait.

On 3/8/06 I placed an order with a company named JW Dobbs/Crossville farm market for tomato & Pepper plants which cost me 93.00. Thinking I would get them around April 2006 or the latest May 1, 2006. When April came around I e-mailed Mr. Dobbs and gave him all the information that he requested including the order # 1422 and asked him when I could expect my plants, I had to get the soil ready. He wrote back via e-mail and told me they would be shipping shortly. Since that date in April I sent him 11 e-mails and spoke to him twice, his response was always it will be shipping shortly. The last response about the order he said "it looks like it was filed and shipped, but something doesn't look right, I will have to check this out." When I finally realized that my plants were not coming I filed a complaint with the BBB and with the state of ALabama. The BBB sent him two notices and he never responded, the state of AL as far as I know did absolutely nothing. Mr. Dobbs said he would send me a refund as quickly as possible, this was back in June, got nothing, like the plants, nothing. I am 64, retired, fixed income (and that's not easy), he has my money and my plants. All I wanted was my plants, I begged him to send me the plants. I did not want to do this, but now I am really angry and everyone needs to know what a horrible business man he is. Joyce Wallingford, Ct.
