I've so far ordered two times from Brad's Buds and Blooms and they were both positive experiences. The plumerias were packaged in perfect condition and well thought-out, delivering from Florida to NYC. Both orders took 5 days to get to my place but the plumerias were in perfect condition. Both the tips and the root systems were all in very healthy condition. Brad is also quick to respond to situations/questions if you email. The website also contains large variety of plumerias from regions such as Australia, Thailand, and USA. They also have information regarding how to take care of plumeria and how to overwinter them. Overall, I do recommend getting plumerias from Brad's Buds and Blooms based on my experience so far with them. I plan to continue being a future customer as there are plumerias they have that I have eyes on.

I had a good experience with this business. Plumosa was on my garden wish list, and to find a vendor that sold fresh seed at a very reasonable price and wasn't one of those shady online only places made me super happy. I got an immediate confirmation on my order and it shipped the next day. When they arrived the packets had been taped to a sheet of paper to keep them from jostling around and being damaged which I felt was really thoughtful. The seeds were clean and healthy, and though the packets were only supposed to be five seeds there were a couple extra in each pack. With that and the plentiful growing and cultivating info on their site this gardening noob has a much better chance of success. :)

Great variety of plumeria plants and seeds. Very competitively priced and an excellent job of keeping you updated on your order. I would highly recommend this seller.

I have placed 2 orders and got beautiful healthy nice sized plants. I am lucky enough to live close by so I could make an appointment to pick up a Mango Tree. I got so much helpful information about growing mangos in central Florida. I was very pleased to get a wonderful tree at a great price and detailed instructions about the care. Planning to place more orders, the only down side to picking up a plant is that you see things you've just gotta have!

Posted on April 26, 2013, updated June 18, 2013 I received several varieties of seeds and four very healthy plants from Brad's Buds and Blooms. The stems on the plants were thick and healthy and root system on these plants were very well developed. The customer service was outstanding. I will definitely order from them again.

On June 18th, 2013, Blackbelt_Lizzy added the following: I have planted several varieties of the seeds that I ordered and all of the seeds have sprouted into healthy plants. I will order seeds from Brad's again in the near future.

I placed 2 orders for seed with this company. Both arrived in a timely fashion, and the seed had excellent viability. All sprouted, with the exception of some that I traded with a friend, (I didn't ask her whether they sprouted, but if they hadn't, I'm sure she would've let me know). Wonderful company, and lovely website. Will order from them again, and I highly recommend them.

I am extremely impressed with this wonderful nursery. Their plumeria are nothing short of fabulous, beefy cuttings whose root systems are among the best of any plant species I've ever purchased...and I buy a lot of plants, just ask my long-suffering husband. The selection is totally rad too, lots of unusual varieties from all over the world. Add that up with the unbeatable prices, careful packing/fast shipping, and stellar customer service, and it's just a WOW experience. Definitely recommend, five stars plus.

I made two orders with BBB this summer. First for seeds and second for a rooted plumeria. I have been quite pleased with my orders. Will definitely order from BBB again. I must say that their seeds are absolutely viable and are not duds. But with that said, it's up to you, the grower, to provide the best conditions for germination as plumeria seeds can be very prone to rot.

I don't know who this seeyahubble person is, but living in central Florida, I drove over to their location last year and bought several items. Brian was excellent and took the time to explain and answer all my questions and really gave my wife and I a good bundle price. The only thing I lost was the cacao tree and that was because I was gone when the freeze hit last winter. The plumerias are great. By the way Brian, the cutting of the yellow ginger you gave my wife is really growing nice against the white ginger. Thanks and will be driving back over soon to pick up a couple more trees.

Bought a bunch of Plumeria Seeds from this outfit--half never germinated--the rest were deformed, twisted, abberrated seedlings that I doubt will live or produce! Contacted this hothead Brad to report this outcome and got a very similar response to the other negative on this board. He accused me of lying and being nasty--and forbid to ever buy from him again@! AS IF! This is a hothead seller I would not recommend to my worst enemy! He sells crap and then call the buyer a liar--BUYER BEWARE! What a shame some sellers cannot just make good on their sales--this guy apparently doesn't care about his reputation----just making money off poor unsuspecting buyers!

Company representative comment on August 26, 2011:
On Aug 26, 2011 2:23 PM, Brad's Buds and Blooms responded with:

I guess attacking me in your first and very irrational email is acceptable behavior? Secondly, I cannot help it if your seedlings look odd. Perhaps your soil and watering issues were to blame? I sell fresh seeds from a most respected source--it is then the buyer's responsibility to learn how to grow them properly and successfully. Also, you lied above--you told me the germination rate was good--only that the seedlings were growing weirdly--once again, this is something I have never heard before and as I don't manipulate seeds genetically somehow, I cannot help what sort of plants you are getting. Perhaps you should learn how to talk to people instead of attacking and maybe you'll even be able to find out what you did wrong with your seeds? Making money off you--hardly-- you had a very small order to begin with, one that was supplemented with lots of extra seeds at no charge (our standard practice).

I recently ordered 16 Plumerias. They all arrived in excellent condition, most had ample roots and were nice sizes. There was a problem with 3 of them. One of them was so crooked I would have had to do a cutting in order to get a decent plant. One was only 8" and it was supposed to be twice that size. The other was simply the wrong plant and not their fault. I added that to my order via email and there were 2 plants with the same name. One from Australia and one from Thailand. I contacted them, dealt with Brian and the customer service was superb. The reason they sent the first 2 apparently was that those were the only ones they had. Granted I would have rather they had called or emailed me and let me know and I would have said leave those off the order.... BUT I returned them and ordered others to replace them. They credited me for the return shipping since it was not my fault. I dealt with Brian, Brad was out of the country at the time and Brian was very busy and very nice. I didn't have much luck getting anyone to answer the phone or return messages left by phone in a timely manner, same with emails, a little slow... BUT I am assuming that was due to the fact that Brian was the only one there with Brad out of the country. The plants were healthy, large, nice roots on most of them and I will and am ordering from them again. Brian was very nice, cordial and answered all emails as to size, tips, availability, etc. Shipping was prompt and the plants were all well packed, not a single leaf damaged. I want to mention one thing about their website. DO NOT fill your shopping cart and go eat dinner, it will be empty when you come back. It dumps your cart really fast which is very annoying. So if you are putting things in your cart, and have to take a break or go check out more pictures of that particular plant, you will come back to an empty cart. So what I did was to print my cart every few minutes or write down what I had in it. Actually the first time I went there and filled my cart, they almost lost a sale as I had to try to find those 15-16 Plumerias all over again. Another thing about their website, once you place your order and pay, for some reason if you go back to get the descriptions of your plants to catalog, which I do, they are gone. I don't know if it was the last plant or what the deal is, weird! So get your description of what you are ordering and copy and paste it prior to finalizing your order. This one thing really annoys me and I think in the future I will only order over the phone and finalize the order with an email. I DO NOT like grafted plants and some of theirs say grafted or cuttings so be sure to specify which you want. One reason I do not order rooted plants from Florida Colors is that all of their plants are grafted. We are in Florida , it's not hard to root a cutting with our heat and humidity. At Brad's most ARE rooted cuttings except for the Thai and Aussie plants. They usually mention grafted or rooted cutting but on a few they don't specify which it is so if it matters to you, send them and email and they will respond telling you what they have, the size, how many tips, etc. Their shipping prices are extremely reasonable compared to many other places. They use heavy, long boxes and do not try to squeeze them into smaller boxes that damage the leaves. Bottom line, beautiful plants, well packaged, very nice people to deal with, nice website with some very annoying quirks. I will be a repeat customer in the future.

I ordered 2 rooted Plumerias and they arrived healthy and are doing well. I have heard from some other people in the Plumeria world that they were unsatisfied in their dealings with Brad. I haven't had any problems but in reading his response to a negative comment, it makes me wary...

Posted on March 28, 2010, updated September 30, 2010 I will not be all flowery (get it?) with many words, but get right to the point. The point is that Brad's Buds and Blooms is run with customers in mind. Their seeds have not failed me, and their rooted plants are EXACTLY as they describe. OK, sometimes they are even nicer. I can only hope that this company continues to thrive and make people happy. Oh, and I should not forget to mention that they are very quick to respond to e-mails. I have had my questions answered without being made to feel like a dummy. Just do not write to them asking what end of the seed to plant. You MIGHT be laughed at then. LOL KIDDING!!!!!!!!!! Thanks Brad! Boston, MA

And, are they ever blooming! Brad, you not only send A-quality plants, but they bloom true. It is so clear that you are interested in your business, your plants, quality, your customers, and more. Posted on July 22, 2010, updated July 25, 2010 We recently purchase Dragon Fruit- Halley's Comet from Brad's Buds and Blooms. When we received the dragon fruit, they were in poor condition, dried out, skinny and damaged. They looked like they were eaten by slugs ( a lot of missing pieces). We do not recommend purchasing from Brad's Buds and Blooms.

On July 25th, 2010, vng added the following: Sorry you felt blindsided. However what we received were not just “they are usually full of notches and grooves” What we received had approximately six (6) inches removed on one side, down to the core. It looked like slugs ate it. We do have experience with dragon fruit and are familiar with its characteristics. The cuttings we received were very skinny and dried, not full as they should be. As they had been written on with a felt pen, we are sure that someone noticed its bad shape but sent it anyway. If your company were reputable and decent, you would not have sent a cutting in such bad condition. As for returning for replacement your policy would require us to pay shipping we did not want to incur undue shipping cost: “Once plant is received, buyer will be reimbursed for purchase price and return shipping. If a replacement is desired, seller will cover shipping cost of new plant, but not return shipping. Original shipping cost is non-refundable”. Why should we pay extra shipping when it’s not our fault?
Company representative comment on July 26, 2010:
On Jul 23, 2010 11:05 AM, Brad's Buds and Blooms responded with:

Wow! Talk about being blind-sided. First off, I never received any contact from this person about the problem they feel they had, which might have given me a chance to remedy the situation. Secondly, what they received from me was a small dragon fruit plant with adequate roots, exactly as described on my website. I don't know if this person is aware that climbing cacti (basically what a DF is), do not always have picture perfect limbs. The pieces cut to root aften have rubbed spines against one another and they are usually full of notches and grooves. Any person with any knowledge of this would not have been concerned, knowing the plant will grow like a weed once planted in warm conditions. As for it being "dried out", when we clean the soil from the plant, we ship them minimally moist to avoid any rot issues. Why? Because once again, when these most hardy and vigorous starts are planted, they grow like gangbusters and the ship just fine without needing a lot of moisture. Lastly, your own AG Dept. would have simply rejected them had there been any soil on them and they hadn't been thoroughly cleaned before shipping.

So there you are, hiding behind your computer, obviously someone who prefers to attempt to smear my reputation instead of having the decency (and maturity) to simply send me an email telling me you were unhappy with your purchase. I would have gratefully either refunded or replaced it for you. I also find it odd that in several years on this forum, not one other person has said such things about my business as you.

On Jul 26, 2010 9:29 AM, Brad's Buds and Blooms added:

You have an active imagination as your story seems to grow even worse at it goes on. I packed your plant myself, having to first remove it from its one gallon pot and clean away the soil. Your plant was a 5 month old rooted cutting and it had a nice amount of new growth emerging from the top it.

You never bothered to contact me(nor have you bothered to do so since you read my rebuttal), which clearly shows that you NEVER desired to solve this matter and work towards a win-win solution, which is what an honest person would do. You also could have simply gotten a refund.

Enjoy your plant. I hope it thrives for you.

Posted on April 15, 2010, updated May 1, 2010 I just received my first order from this company and WOW! A fat 3 tip rooted cutting for the price of a 1 tip unrooted cutting?! I'll be back for more no doubt. I also like the website design with cultivars divided by country of origin. This was a great transaction. First time buyers should order with complete confidence.

On May 1st, 2010, SDCA added the following: OK, I've just finished my shopping tour of most of the better rated plumeria vendors on this website for the season. I also just got my second order from Brad's. While most of the cuttings/grafts I've received are very nice, Brad's delivers without a doubt the FATTEST most robust plants out of them all. I don't know if it's the type I ordered or what they're putting in the water over there but there really is no competition.
