I have to say the price of there bluebonnet seeds were reasonable although there shipping cost kept me from ordering more from there company. Shipping cost should not go by the amount you spend but by weight, and if they really want return business they will restructure there shipping cost. Maybe if it fits it ships for a low flat rate (LOL). My order consisted of 1 lb Bluebonnet seeds @ $20 a lb, and 3 tiny packets of maroon bonnet seeds $6 each 1/2 oz.. and shipping came to $15. i have just placed an order to vermont wildflower farm, i got free shipping and my order weighed 2.5 lbs.. get with the program TEXAS BLUEBONET

It is very hard for our website to put in the price of shipping when a small pack can cost as much as a five pound bag of something else. We would love to restructure but using the paypal payment option does not allow us to do any different. It is not too far out of line most of the time and several times we have put small items in a small envelope and mailed for postage.
Now I would offer free shipping if we charged $49.95 per lb for Bluebonnet seed instead of the $20 we charge per lb. I didn't see that they carried Maroon Bluebonnets either. You really saved a lot of money getting free shipping. My calculations show you lost a great deal of money buying where you did. You need to get with the program and calculate before you buy and quit trashing companies trying to treat people fairly. The reason we get return business is our prices, which are usually half of everyone elses.

Small packets of bluebonnet seeds seem to be fine. Bags by the pound, though, contain large amounts of weed seeds and chaff. A 5 pound bag I just received, for example, had about 2 cups of chaff and weed seeds. I will grow out some of the seeds to find out what species they are and post an update if I can.

This seed was not intended to be shipped or sold. It was seed that I intended to plant on my personal property. A new girl in the office had packaged it thinking it was for resale. It did have a small amount of Ryegrass and wild oat seed in it, not 2 cups in a 5 lb. bag. It was an unfortunate accident. I tried to ship the man new seed and give him his money back but he was extremely upset and did exactly what he said he wanted to do, post a negative comment. This was a one time thing. There was nothing I could do as a company owner to please the man. We try hard to please all our customers, however this is the only one out of thousands that we have failed. Guess it shows you can't please everyone all the time.
