Schliefert Iris Gardens

The garden is extensive and beautifully maintained. Mickey Anson has a large collection of historics, all the Dykes, and many, many others. I find her to be knowledgeable beyond compare. She and her father (Arnold Schliefert) both gained a well-known reputation for hybridizing in this area of the country. She is a true lover of the plant and willing to share her expertise and enthusiasm. I highly recommend a stop during the bloom season - actually not one, but once a week to appreciate the changes that occur, and chat awhile with the owner herself.
