Comment on a earlier comment: I personally know someone who owns a business with the word Amish in their business name. While the owner is not Amish himself, all of his workers are, so there are "loop holes" one can jump through when using the word, "Amish" in their business title. I'm just saying.

I just want to point out that if a company contains the word Amish in its name, all you can be sure of is that it's not Amish. It would be against their religion to use the name for profit.

Posted on May 2, 2011, updated June 18, 2012 Posted on December 8, 2010, updated May 2, 2011 They delivered and installed my garden shed as per date the company promised when I paid my 50% deposit. The installers did a wonderful job of assembling on-site the garden shed and my neighbours complimented me on my nice new shed.

On May 1st, 2011, kar120c changed the rating from positive to negative and added the following: After the Winter of 2010, some of the shingles were blown off. I called Absolutely Amish, the customer servife representative passed my e-mail to the son of the owner and never got any reply back on when they will fix the shed as it is warrantied. I then decided to put back the shingles with 2 shingles I still have to attach since I do not have the ladder to go to the yop most part of the shed roof. Their warranty service sucks.
On June 18th, 2012, kar120c added the following: On June 18, 2012, I received an e-mail from "//www.backyardandbeyond.net/", and thought that this is the same company ("www.absolutelyamish.com") I previously dealt with since their company address is the same as Absolutely Amish. Guess what, I tried to type in "www.absolutelyamish.com" and got re-directed to "www.backyardandbeyond.net". These people can no longer fool me. Watch out, "www.backyardandbeyond.net" the is still the same "Absolutely Amish" company and they won't support you after you have made your payment. No customer service and no warranty on their product. They think they can fool people again by just changing their Internet name because of the bad reputation "Absolutely Amish" have with the Better Business Bureau.

Posted on February 26, 2011, updated May 9, 2012 I want to let all potential customers of Absolutely Amish that the company has a bad record of customer service, and had I learned of this before I ordered my shed from them, I would have seriously reconsidered. For those who want all the details, I will post the documents shortly, but if you want the short version, look at this video of the damage they did to my yard in delivering the shed for which they refuse to pay for: //www.youtube.com/watch?v=sOYT39DaIpU If you want still photos, you can see them on Flickr here: //www.flickr.com/photos/8445281@N06/ Also, only after the fact did I learn that there have been other complaints against them from the Better Business Bureau which they ignored, earning them a F rating. See: //www.bbb.org/washington-dc-eastern-pa/business-reviews/general-merchandise-retail/absolutely-amish-in-new-holland-pa-195527964/ So the question is, if a company calls themselves Absolutely Amish, but they use the telephone, email, and the web for their business, and then don't respond to customer complaints, are they Amish, or just trading on the good name of the Amish?

On May 9th, 2012, DanLinke changed the rating from negative to neutral and added the following: The company has finally responded and is making good so I have changed my negative to a neutral. When they complete this, I will give them a positive.

I ordered a $19,000 kit about 2 years ago. The sales information / representative indicated it should be assembled in a weekend. We started into the assembly - no instructions, no drawings, no parts list or shipping list, no knowledgeable help on the phone. It was so bad we stored the materials in our shop and considered it a total rip-off. We recently hired a professional contractor to try to assemble it - building the parts that were lacking, replacing all the warped lumber, and purchasing items that were not sent in the shipment that had to come from a building supply store. We will finally have a gazebo in about another 2 - 3 weeks but the cost will be 75% more than the cost of the kit. Our contractor tried to contact the Company to see if he could purchase some of the missing vinyl parts. At this time, they still have not responded to his inquiries. The "absolute" worst purchase I have ever made.
