I was absolutely blown away when I received my plants from Phil. Never in a million years did I expect such mature and healthy sarracenia. Since I am new to carnivorous plants, I was not sure what to order and Phil quickly cautioned me about 2 of my choices. He then offered to choose what he felt would do well given my growing conditions. One of the plants sent was a leucophylla and I am confident it was worth more than what I paid for the entire order. I have to say that Phils plants are some of the healthiest I have ever received. I will be standing in line for the next time Phil has a sale. He is an outstanding vendor and a heck of a nice guy!!!! Wow! Excellent plants in terms of size for the money, packaging, health of the plants, etc. Also good customer service! The only downside about ordering from Phil's Place is that I will not be satisfied ever again with those tiny little divisions I get other places. Plus he has his own cultivars, which I think is very cool.

A+++++++++++++++++ Oddly enough, he has a limited number of plants and when he sells out, he downs his website until at such time as he has plants to offer again and then he puts his website back up again. If you see his website up, order fast is about all I can say as this man has achieved National as well as International recognition for the plants he loves and grows. This man offers the most spectacular Pings I have ever seen before in my life. They are the epitome of health. His pricing is beyond competitive. His packaging of the plants lets the world know that he is in it for the love of the growing carnivorous plants. Each plant I received was barerooted so that it wouldn't be banged up during shipping and then placed in a baggie with moisture protection around the roots and then placed within the protection of its own little pot that you could actually use to pot the plant in if you so desired. Attached to the side of the little pot was a plant stake with the name of what I had purchased legibly written on the side. Need help with growing a plant? Have an oddball question that you can't find the answer to in a book or on the Internet? E-mail him and you will most assuredly get help. I truly cannot say enough nice things about the quality of the plants and the quality of the man who grows the plants. And, no... I am not related to him and I am merely an extremely satisfied customer who will go back to buy plants from him again and again and again.

On April 20th, 2006, Equilibrium added the following: I have to add that his Sarracenia and Nepenthes are unparalleled in the industry for quality also. I placed another order this year that was out of this world!
