Ordered through SMG-a division of Squaw Mountain, so wanted to post on both review sites. Received my jovi's and semps from SMG. What a great experience!! Prices VERY reasonable, shipping fast, packing very well done, and I'm amazed at the size of these plants. Can't beat this value for this price. Many have numerous chicks, all are very healthy. I will be back again--they are definitely on the top of my list.

I recieved plants the end of Oct. which were healthy and well packaged. This is Feb now. They made it through a tough winter season 10° in Dec. then a warming trend with heavy rains for the last couple of months. All are healthy and starting to grow. They are planted out in the open in a raised bed. I have done comparison pictures from a sight on the web that shows each variety in different seasons and stages of life. Mine match what I bought. This is my third time to buy from Squaw Mountain.

I have ordered Sempervivums from this company since 2003. My last order was in 2008. I was satisfied the first few years but during the last 3 years I discovered I received quite a few miss-named Sempervivums. It was made obvious when I ordered the same variety of Sempervivum that I already had,.They were completely different from what I had with the same name. All are growing in the same area in my garden. In contrast, I have received plants that matured exactly the same yet came with different names. All my varieties are carefully labeled as I plant them. I also have a hardcopy, and a chart on my computer to keep track of them. Last week I dicovered another miss-labeled variety that I bought in 2008. I have their catalog from 2004 and the description of the plant in question don't match at all. Now I wonder how many of all my 90+ varieties of Semps that I have purchased from them over the years are correctly named. Needless to say, I will not order from them again.

I have ordered from this company (which is the same as SMG Succulents) several times. The plants are healthy and true to name, the selection is superb, and the prices are very reasonable. The only caution I would have in ordering from this company is if you are allergic to cigarette smoke. The shipping box and the individual bags inside all have a strong dose of nicotine on them when they arrive and it does permeate the room where the package is opened... so those who are allergic should definitely open them outside. Overall, purchasing from this company is a very pleasurable buying experience. A plus nursery! =)

I received my first order from them earlier in the spring. The plants were well packed and identified. 4 week later all are looking very healthy. I'll be ordering again, especially with their low prices.

Just received my plants from Squaw Mountain Gardens. I ordered 20 semps and 9 sedums. All arrived properly identified and well-packed. Large samples on the sedums. Very healthy looking. Huge selection and great prices. My only wish is that they would have notified me when the plants were shipped. Other than that an A+ experience.

I ordered 19 sempervivums early in 2006 to be delivered in March. They came on time in beautiful condition. Very reasonably priced and a generous number of 'chicks' with the 'hen'. I can hardly wait to order more varieties. A great company to deal with!

I ordered Haworthia, Gasteria, and Aloe from Squaw...and the specimens were amazing. The sizes were larger than what you would expect for the price, and they all had excellent healthy root systems. And I also received clumps of plants or those with pups, not just single specimens! I wish they had more of a selection of these types, but I know it's not their specialty. Hope to buy again soon.

I received my order yesterday and I was very impressed. I originally found this fine company from another positive feedback left as I have left this one. The plants are awesome! I have had a time trying to find unusual varieties, but they have them all at Squaw Mountain. Very generous with their starts. Order with confidence, you will be pleased! Shipping was reasonable too, another positive.

I ordered sempervivum and other succulents last year. I was impressed with the quality of their plants. Everyone was healthy and thrived. I was thrilled when I went out and moved the leaves from fall and winter. They multiplied and look great. I just placed another large order.

I just received my first ever succulents. They are spectacular, and I am already planning spaces inside and outside my house to have more. The Owner of Squaw Mountain Gardens has so much knowledge about the plants, and the care, and is EXTREMELY helpful to speak with. I will be passing the name of this nursery on to my friends and definately do business with them again. A+ in every possible aspect.

As a new semp addict, I am delighted to have found such a wonderful company. Granted, semps are easy to transport compared with most plants, but this company seems to work hard to retain their excellent reputation. Two thumbs up from this gardener!

This is one of the best companies to order hardy sempervivums and sedums. I have ordered from them for 7 years and they are now better than ever. Now they have pictures online of each semp. This means that I can spend even more on plants than before. I used to drool over their catalog marking plants. Now I look at the pix and then order online and mark my catalog for future reference. Their catalog is listed alphabetically and sometimes the A's are all sold out. The plants are good sized, wrapped well and grow even in my clay soil. I recommend them highly for anyone looking for succulents which can winter well.

I ordered $80 worth of sedums from this company in Feb. 2004. I received the order the following week and I'm very pleased with the size and health of the plants. The prices are also the most reasonable prices I found on the plants after extensive web searches. The company has a very impressive variety of plants. At the time I ordered them, I was not actually expecting to receive the plants until spring and was surprised to get them so soon, so if you want to wait to get your order in the spring, you might want to call it in. I called the company and asked some dumb questions about how to keep them alive indoors until they could be planted outdoors and the owner was very nice and helpful. I'd recommend this company highly and will order from them again.

I placed my first order last Summer with this nursery - Great plants, great prices & fast shipping. Only problem is that their catalog is so extensive it is hard to choose just a dozen or so plants to order at one time!! I'll be back for more plants next year. If you decide to browse their catalog .... grab a cup of coffee - it will take you a good long time to see all they have to offer! First class operation - I highly recommend them.

I recently ordered and received sempervivums from Squaw Mountain Gardens. To my delight, the plants arrived in excellent condition and were beautiful! The packaging was top-notch. It took a while to receive them, and the owners sent a personal note apologizing for the delay (they were out of the country for 2-1/2 weeks.) They also advised me on how to care for the plants until they are established. I must admit that I was skeptical about ordering plants through the mail, but I was really pleased. I could not get these top quality plants in any of my local nurseries. I definitely will be ordering from them again!

I'd been looking for a source for sedum and sempervivums. I did my first order with them this spring. I got nice sized plants back, and everything is thriving. They included a bonus plant, complete with name. They didn't have 2 of the plants I ordered, but substituted some nice ones. I plan to order more next year. I give them two thumbs up!

I ordered several types of jovibarba in 2000 and they are thriving. They have no pictures on their web site or catalog but they do have accurate descriptions and I was able to find pictures elsewhere on the web. They sent one or two good sized plants and several babies just as they advertise. They were all healthy. It took them a couple of weeks to ship them and when I inquired about the status, they said they had to let them dry a bit after digging them before shipment. They sent an additional type of jovibarba that I hadn't ordered as a bonus. It looked like someone guessed at what type of plants I was looking for and chose one that I'd like. Nice touch. I'll be ordering again soon.

I visited them in December 1997 and thought they were definitely a cut above average. The selection of semps and sedums is awe-inspiring, the prices are excellent (roughly $2 per), they are knowledgeable and accommodating, their packing and shipping was impeccable, and on top of everything else they offered to pack and ship a dozen plants I had picked up at other nurseries and couldn't possibly have taken home on the plane at a reasonable charge. Overall, a class act.
