Ordered 3 Red Abyssinian Banana plants from them. They arrived in good shape exactly when I was told they would. These plants are difficult to find if you don't buy them early and I am grateful to get them. Will return next year

Really nice company to deal with. Bought 3 banana plants and they arrived promptly and in perfect condition. Lots of helpful instructions in the package. A few weeks later they are all sprouting new leaves and look perfect. Would definitely buy again from this company. Jennifer.

I ordered an ice cream banana plant from this nursery a few months ago and had a good experience with them. Ted behaved professionally at all times during our correspondence and answered any questions or concerns that I had in a timely manner. Would recommend this nursery.

I ordered several bananna plants from Ted and they arrived in Boise, ID very quickly, ahead of the expected date. I contacted him about a plant on back order and he shipped it right away along with an additional banana I didn't even pay for. I am waiting for that plant to arrive but should be here soon. Ted was very nice to me on the phone and was a pleasure to work with. I highly recommend. For what it is worth, I own my own nursery and work with many plant sellers, Ted is a great guy to work with in my experience. Adam www.adamsplants.net

I couldn't be more pleased to work with a company that knows how to treat a customer. Not only a customer, but a new one as well. Ted has gone out of his way to make sure a less than good experience, be a great experience. Through no fault of "Green Earth" banana plants, my order spent too much time in the postal system and the plants I received were 'too tired' to go on living. I sent pictures and asked for advice on how to perhaps revive them. Nothing worked. I thought it might have been my error but Ted assured me and told me he would replace the plants. Even though Ted was ill he not only replaced them he sent an additional banana plant of higher quality than I originally purchased! My order in this process was - green2995-42869. Now, I'm not a young guy (in 60's) but before I retired I led a division of customer service for a national bank. I say this to assure you, the reader, of the quality of Ted and his dedication to helping you have a great experience and to becoming a repeat customer. As always, we have a great many choices as to where we spent our time and money, Ted Taylor of Green Earth Co. Banana Trees, Banana Plants is well worth your time and money. I have reviewed some of the less than stellar reviews on this site and do not understand other than through the use of hyperbole how they could accurately describe MY experience with Ted. I summarize by saying how impressed I am by the quality of the products and the excellent service received during the purchase and especially in resolution of an unexpected problem.

This guy over charges for shipping and has terrible communication skills. Just buy plants from any other place online or look for a local place. I'd never buy from this person again.

I ordered 16 plants from Green Earth Co. Banana Trees. I ordered 3 sweet goji berry, 3 blackberry, 3 kiwi issai, 3 raspberry, 1 chiquita banana, 1 ice cream banana, 1 musa williams banana, 1 seminole banana. 1 box was shipped with 13 plants stuffed inside and a paper that said 3 raspberry plants will ship in July. Most of the plants that arrived were in poor shape. I planted all in containers except for the kiwi I planted in the ground. I have a huge pile of garden mix I bought last yr for my garden that I have been using. The ice cream banana was in decent shape and is doing well in the garden mix. The other 3 banana plants were questionable especially the seminole which is still not doing so well. One of the blackberry plants was in very poor shape and missing many leaves, second blackberry plant also in poor shape but nowhere as bad as the previous and the third was in decent shape. All 3 goji plants very stressed but at least had all their leaves and finally look like they will be ok. The kiwi plants one had black on its leaves and the other 2 stressed and wilted. The 2 wilted kiwi look like they will make it while the 3rd with the black on leaves just got blacker until now is dead. I contacted Green Earth Co right away on 6/13/17 and said: "Some of the plants you sent did not look good and not doing to well." ted taylor same day response was: "sorry please send pic no worries i will replace." I waited 2 days to see if any improvement before sending pictures but the 2 blackberry and seminole banana getting worse so I sent pictures of those with the email on 6/15/17 that said, "Hi dont know about this banana plant yet, and these 2 blackberry plants, questionable on the goji and kiwi but waiting to see" (anyone want to see pictures or emails are welcome too) Again same day response from ted taylor that said: " pots do not let air and roots are rotting is that soil or potting mix ?change pots." My same day response of 6/15/17 was: "What are you talking about? The dirt is a garden mix I bought two truckloads of last year and have a giant pile I use. The dirt drains good. When I received the plants they were not in the best shape. There was black on a couple banana plants on arrival. Blackberry plants 1 looked nice 2 not so nice, 1 missing many leaves. 1 kiwi had black on leaves. I am waiting to see how they go. Goji dont know on those yet either. The ice cream banana plant looks very nice and doing well in the container." Instead of Ted Taylor taking care of replacing these plants like he said he would off the bat he responds with this on 6/16/17 "Hi, That is what i thought its full of bacteria and viruses and the ph is usually acid, it drains yes but as i say i the directions to use potting mix because its sterile and will dry out each day Roots will not grow hardly because of no air. look t the roots and you will see. send pics of all of them if you want too those will die if you keep doing the same thing, starting small tropical plants or any plant should be started with potting mix NOT garden soil especially, i will refund all that die but sorry no replacements i am about out. the plants were beautiful when i shipped them thanks, " I went out and bought a soil test kit to test the soil on the worse blackberry plant, it was not acidic at all and then sent this response on 6/19/17 "I went and bought a soil test kit, here is a picture of the ph for the soil (not acidic at all) in the blackberry plant that was in poor shape when it arrived and now about dead, the goji plants look like will be ok, 1 kiwi is dead and the other 2 I think will be ok, the ice cream banana is doing well, the seminole banana not sure of yet will make it or not and the other 2 look like will be ok. I blackberry doing well and the other not sure of yet and as I said 1 dead. I was told when I first replied you would replace them, and now you wont? Still not receive raspberry plants, you can send all replacements with those. Thank you" Ted's response "On Jun 19, 2017 7:03 PM, ted taylor wrote: sir those test kits are not reliable and i told you that is bad soil ... all will die you will see i will send refund only thanks, sent refund of 66.00" My response on 6/19/17 "I want items replaced and want the raspberry plants you are are supposed to send or send a call tag for everything and refund entirety" Ted's response "On Jun 19, 2017 7:44 PM, ted taylor wrote: sorry no more raspberry sold out a week ago. all ready sent a refund for 9 plants send pics if you want more please of dead or damaged plants for more refund.thanks, and i be glad too." Obviously ted you dont have raspberry plants because you marked on my receipt you would send them in July I responded on 6/19/17 with "Send a call tag for all the plants and refund everything," Again ted taylor response " Why not all are damaged, send pics of damage plants for refund , that is what i and paypal will accept as proof, thanks, " I have never done business with someone as immature and childish as this before. If my dirt is no good why did the ice cream banana plant thrive and do well right away? Why are other plants looking better than when I received them? The garden mix I have is very good and i get very nice vegetables from plants grown in it. Instead of replacing the plants as first stated the man has a hissy fit because I am using my soil instead of his? What a baby. I will not do business with this baby again. I would recommend anyone that is considering to do business with this baby to think twice. Ted is not a man of his word. Ted does not want to accept when he is wrong.

I purchased some tissue culture ice cream banana plants two years ago, and they shipped within 3 days. The plants arrived healthy and much larger than other mail order nurseries. I believe they were between 12-18" in length. Both survived and thrived once I planted them outside, and are still producing pups to this day. Also, Ted sent me an email when my order was placed, as well as an email when my order was shipped. Definitely great customer service. Thanks, Ted!

Posted on June 3, 2016, updated June 8, 2016 I emailed Ted for some simple guidance before I placed an order. He was unbelievably rude and said things like "i do not have tie to read long emails" and "sorry i can not help you because i will not read old emails good day." I was going to place an order with him, but now there is no chance I will. Others should realize how he is to deal with as well.

On June 8th, 2016, mwieder added the following: Three things: 1) After I posted this he threatened to sue me. 2) I never asked him to do anything illegal. The only I email I sent twice was because he told me he didn't read it the first time. Some people find the smallest reasons to get bent out of shape in life. 3) You can see other reviews below who also were verbally abused by Ted in his emails; he convinced some of them to change their reviews from negatives by giving them free stuff (AKA buying them off), but you can still read their original comments. Buyer beware.

Posted on April 26, 2016, updated April 29, 2016 This is the WORST service I have ever received. I reached out to Ted Taylor - the owner on April 13th to buy some Papaya Leaves for my mom suffering from low platelets after beating cancer. Ted was very responsive and asked me to send Money Order for $4 per leave and shipping. I sent $100 the NEXT DAY! $46 for 1 day shipping as he suggested and $48 dollars for the 12 leaves. I told him to keep the change! Ted promised that I would receive the order in 2-3 days. 2-3 days came no order was delivered to my mom. As a customer, paying for service, I have the right to ask about my order. I reached out to Ted after the 2-3 days had passed and he was RUDE and DISRESPECTFUL. I have the e-mail thread to prove it and I SAVE all my e-mails for things like this. I was polite and patient and told him that I was only checking on my mothers papaya leaves. He said it is the last day to get his taxes done and so he has no time to track the shipping. I was so confused. But I was patient once again. I even told him that if it is missing, I will pay for another patch - because my mom who just beat cancer NEEDS it and I was desperate. Ted later came back and said that he had shipped it to the wrong address and that he is sorry ( a claim he would later deny) - but I have EMAILS to prove it. On April 19th, Ted said he had sent another set of leaves to my mom's address after admitting that he had "screwed up". My mom was looking forward to it and asked me to check in. I checked in on April 24th with Ted, and once again he was rude to me for no reason - he was nasty to me and very condescending all because I checked the status of the delivery. Once again, I do have the e-mail trail to prove it. If he claims he had mailed it and has the best customer service, won't he be able to track the package and let me know the confirmation? Ted did not, but was very rude and insulting in the e-mail. He said he would send a refund, but he is yet to confirm that he had sent it. As a customer, I have the right to question any service provider when my items are not delivered on the time they promised. Pertaining to this order, he didn't understand why I would question him when my mom had not received the order and he would be rude and insulting. I will wait till the refund comes in. Then the right appropriate lawful step will be taken.

On April 29th, 2016, joevicious11 changed the rating from negative to positive and added the following: Ted and I worked out the differences. He was busy as I suspect and got caught up. He sincerely and honestly apologized and accepted that it was an oversight and shipped a LOT of the pawpaw/papaya leaves to my mom - he shipped more than I requested for or paid for. He shipped it overnight and I talked to my mom and she has started taking it. Thank you Ted.

Posted on March 16, 2016, updated March 17, 2016 Posted on March 16, 2016, updated March 16, 2016 Never order anything from here! I agree that customer service is good as Ted, the owner, responds to every email. We've actually sent 20 emailed back and forth regarding my inquiries and my order. However, about a week ago, I emailed him about how long shipping would take and when he would be sending out my order. He replied, "2 TO 3 DAYS for priority, thanks, ted," and "it went out yesterday, thanks." So, I was satisfied as I thought my order was on the way. But, it has been a week and my plants have yet to arrive. I emailed Ted and he responds, "i;ll check may be i made a mistake. thanks," and "i am out of dwarf red sorry never changed site ... how about 2 for 1 red iholena, it will not get much higher than the dwarf red. thanks." You can understand how furious I became right? He literally TOLD me that he SENT my order a week ago. But when I ask a week later, it seems like he didn't even send it at all!! This is me sharing my experience with the company. Even though customer service was good, the actual service was HORRIBLE. I am never ordering from here again, and I suggest others not to as well. P.S. He did send me an email earlier this afternoon about a refund, but it hasn't shown up in my bank account yet. Of course, I'll be waiting several more days for the refund to show. But, if I don't get my money back in a week, I'll first figure out what's going on and then I'll add this to the review.

On March 16th, 2016, NicholasL added the following: I don't know if this is what you're referring to as the "insult," but I'll still post it for others to see. I read reviews online about orders not coming in on time. Should I check back around March 9th to see if the plant has been shipped yet?" Also, 9 emails from me + 11 emails from you = 20 emails. I am an 18 year old college freshman and I do not have a lot of money to throw around. I'm also going to let others see your immature response to my honest review: "i could tell you were a mean person not perfect thats why i cancel it, good luck with your happiness. i tryed to please but insults will get you only nothing from me everytime. GOD BLESS your on my spam" "i'l let you know how many new orders i get because of your ridiculous feedback. it will help me not hurt! read the others ! i/m sure you had a bad day good luck."

Green Earth Publishing is a top notch company with not only the highest quality plants but also the highest quality customer service. Ted, from Green Earth was phenomenal in answering my questions and concerns along with making sure the banana trees would arrive in time for my daughter's birthday. The trees did arrive on time although one tree was a bit damaged due to shipping. Ted was very concerned that I couldn't present my daughter with two perfect banana trees so he sent another to replace it. I was shocked because I never expected a replacement since the tree had very little damage. This just goes to show how, Ted not only takes pride in his products but also values his customers. I highly recommend Green Earth Publishing!

Ted, Just arrived home and my package was delivered while I was at work. I can't begin to tell you how impressed I was with the care taken in packaging the plants. To my utter surprise the plants were in perfect condition considering the jostling they must receive during shipment. All the plants were healthy looking and so incredibly green that I thought they were fake and that's not an exaggeration! I hope I can keep them looking as beautiful and healthy as they are today. Five thumbs up for quality, service and for the prompt response to my email inquiry. I'll be back to purchase the second part of my wish list.

All I can say is that my experience was absolutely WONDERFUL!!! I purchased two banana trees for my boyfriend for Christmas and at first I couldn't believe the price I had to look twice at it because it was so great!! Then when it said that they would be delivered within 2-3 days I was like this is too good to be true! Of course being a Christmas gift I was getting nervous and kept checking to see when it was shipped. When it was past the three days I contacted Ted and he got right back to me and apologized that they are very busy and that my trees have already shipped he just didn't have a chance to update my status. Well when I went home that night my banana trees were there waiting for me. I had my boyfriend open the box which was so well shipped and he had an instant SMILE on his face he was super excited!!! The two plants looked AMAZING such a great size so green and healthy!! I definitely won some brownie points with this Christmas gift Thanks Ted!!!! I will absolutely come here first for any of my future orders such wonderful service and product!!! Sincerely, Jennifer

I ordered 4 various banana plants from them a couple of weeks ago. When I received the package it had been severely damaged by the postal service - It seemed to actually have been ripped in half and taped back together. The plants seemed to be in good shape but there was one missing. I immediately emailed Ted that evening. He responded the same night and promised to send out the banana plant which I had not received. Two days later, as promised, it showed up on my door step in great condition. It was so nice to have a business immediately respond to a problem and not try to blame everyone else for the issue. I will certainly order from them again secure in the knowledge that if there is a problem Ted will deal with it quickly and fairly.

I purchased a number of bananas in mid-March: Sweetheart, California Gold, Dwarf Green, and Truly Tiny. I am very pleased with the performance. The Sweethearts are really striking, with huge, umbrella-like leaves, nearly a meter long, easily 40cm wide, and quite impressive to view. The tree frogs love them, and they're fun to watch in the evenings. The California Golds are quite happy, running a strong second to the Sweethearts. The Dwarf Greens, so far aren't living up to their names. They're surging along, nearly as tall as the Sweethearts, and seem quite happy with the world. I'm not complaining mind you, but when does that whole "dwarf" thing manifest? And finally, the Truly Tiny. They are. They're delicate little things that are hard to believe are really bananas. They look like a broad-leafed houseplant. I love them, because they basically have no stem growth at all. I think the tall one is about a half meter tall, and the short one is barely 30cm. Both have thrown sword suckers, and I'm thinking when they get a bit taller, I'll try to propagate them. I wanted you to know that I'm thrilled. The vibrance of all of the plants is remarkable, they're all enthusiastic growers, all strong and healthy, no disease problems all summer, and all growing like fiends. Great products, great work, no complaints, and I'll be ordering again and am already recommending you to friends. I have fed them heavily, using enough fertilizer to root burn a sane plant, and they've been holding their color while growing nicely. I've had to order new grow-out pots, since the massive seeming 3 gallon pots I put them in back in March have grown cramped and distorted with roots. I plan to order in the future. I plan to get several mats of bananas going, and if they're going to be here, I want them to produce nice fruit. It's been an exciting growout, so I can't wait.

My first experience with Ted was GREAT. I just recently got into banana plants. I ordered my first two basjoos from another vendor on amazon. Being my first bananas...and first plants in general to receieve via mail I thought they were small but healthy..and this must be the norm for baby banana plants. Fast forward...I wanted more and stumbled across Teds site. I ordered two Cal Golds. I received the tracking # and were expected at my door step in two days. The tracking stated they departed FL and were in route. Fast forward again...they did not arrive...no updates from the postal service. I opened a complaint with them to find out where my plants were. The postal service had no idea. TEN days later a damaged box was at my door step. I expected two brown twigs...not the case! The plants looked good considering the mysterious lengthy journey it took to arrive. The soil was dry..a couple leaves were droopy...and one broke (the side of the box was crushed) I replanted in one gallon pots...2 Daya later they looked AMAZING!.. The root balls were huge compared to my other vendor...the plants were 5 times larger. I updated Ted the entire time during my quest to find out where my plants were. I literally emailed Ted a dozen time...he replied back everytime within the hr! For a plant to be in such good shape...in a box..with no water or light...speaks volume to the quality of Tedz plants! For my frustration and "disappointment" for the process...Ted stated he will send me two more...and a bonus plant for free! To sum it up...I am a first time buyer...but not the last from Ted. I see no nees to shop around if he has what I am looking for. Thanks Ted for outstanding plants and outstanding customer service. All companies should display this type of care and concern to their customers.

Ted, I just wanted to thank you for all your help over the last couple of weeks. Our banana plants arrived just over a week ago and they are terrific. I know when you sent them, they were carefully packaged with fertilizer, healthy soil and wrapped in newspaper for protection. When they arrived almost a thousand miles north of you, the box was slightly crushed on one end. The temperature outside was below freezing. I was concerned that I was going to receive a battered bunch of bananas...(other companies had reviews online that made me nervous.). When I opened the box, the plants were VERY healthy! Clearly you sent me great plants to begin with but you also did a fantastic job wrapping them up. The rough transport didn't seem to affect them at all. The price I paid for the plants was more than reasonable for the excellent product I received. The plants arrived in less than a week in great condition. Your email responses were timely, professional and extremely helpful. I almost feel like the word "professional" is insulting since the experience was so personal. It was more like a close friend picked and delivered his finest plants for me! It was my intention to wait a few weeks after the delivery to give the plants a chance to adjust to the new planting. This is my first attempt at hydroponics and a true test for a transplant. They are in a classroom greenhouse at a middle school. I can't believe there is already visible growth on the plants! I am so impressed with the plants I just had to email you today! I will highly recommend Greenearth Co to anyone looking for healthy banana plants! Thanks again for all the advice, Bananas in NH!

I love Greenearth! This was my first time ordering from them, and not only did my plants arrive earlier than I was expecting (for the time of year - I ordered over the holidays!) but in perfect glowing health. In fact, they looked better than many plants I've seen in nurseries that haven't gone through the mail! They were professionally packed, and even included an extra free plant I was able to give to a gardner friend of mine! Thank you so much! I will definitely order from them again - right now, as a matter of fact!

Great Service! I found this company while surfing for ice cream banana plants. I ordered 3 and found them on my doorstep 4 days later. Healthy-looking plants in excellent condition. Not many companies will combine orders and only charge $7.95 shipping. I plan to order again. Margo N., Hawaii

Found this vendor while surfing this website and had been planning to order a Banana plant for my back yard. I am Located in Zone 9A. I had questions concerning Banana plants and sent an email to the owner. He responded within 30 minutes and answered all my questions. Ted, owner, offered to send me a complimentary Banana just for contacting his company. I took him up on his offer and also ordered another. The man is in business to make a living and I was not going to take advantage of his generous offer... He shipped on Wednesday and I received on Friday. The plants arrived in excellent condition and I followed his instructions on planting and care. I found Ted to be extremely helpful and desired to offer assistance even so much to send replacements if a problem was encountered. I hope to visit and thank him personally while in Florida. I unequivocally endorse his company. I have found him to be a man of integrity with the desire to please his customers!!!

I have never purchased from greenearth before but I had always wanted a banana plant. The ones at my local greenhouses always looked like they were on their last legs, or they wanted a fortune for them. I usually always buy from the local places. That way you can see what you get. I took a chance with greenearth, and I wasn't disappointed! My plant came to my house looking like one of those pricy plants that local greenhouses wanted 50$ for. It was a stunning example of a banana plant! Absolutely gorgeous, it looked like it was just taken from the pot and placed in my hand. As if it never had been mailed to me. I can't stress enough how beautiful my banana plant was. I began taking care of it and it started to brown on the edges of the leaves. Knowing I knew very little about the care of a banana tree. I emailed greenearth and within 10 minutes they responded to me and instead of telling me I didn't know what I was doing, they were very helpful and nice to me. I received instructions on how to care properly for my plant and with two days it was back to its stunning self. I have decided that I will always purchase my plants from greenearth, I highly recommend them. I don't know how they do it, taking care of customers and plants at the same time but my experience was wonderful. All my plant purchases will be made with greenearth. The prices and quality and customer service can not be beat. I would love to go there one day. I cannot think of anything negative to say about them. They are absolutely wonderful!

Rather than to just say that Greenearth Co. is a great nursery to deal with and their plants are superior I want to tell you what happened, so you can judge for yourself. I ordered a banana plant from Ted Taylor’s Greenearth Co. as I had heard good things about him and his honesty as well as all his plants are grown with tissue culture and I could not find another seller that had banana plants propagated by tissue culture. According to the authorities plants propagated by means other than with tissue culture could be infected with a virus and I did not want that. The banana plant arrived so fast I could not believe it was here already when it arrived. When I opened the package it was absolutely beautiful. All leafed out and a thing to behold. I potted it up and for three weeks it was a show piece, then it suddenly went bad. The leaves started dying and it was a mess. I sent an email to Greenearth Nursery to ask what had happened and to my surprise got an answer – not from someone in India or someplace else – but from the owner himself Ted Taylor. Ted spent the next 3 or 4 days emailing me asking for photos of the plant, the pot, the dirt, and information about how I cared for the plant. He would respond as soon as I sent an email. I do not know how he gets time to run his business and also take so much time with a customer over one lonely banana plant, but he does. Ted’s diagnosis was that I had over fertilized the plant and it had fertilizer burn. I realized he was right as this was my first banana plant and I had heard and read about what big eaters banana plants are and had been very liberal with fertilizing it. Ted worked with me over the next few days trying to save the plant, but it was too far gone. Then Ted offered to replace it for free. I told him no as it was my fault I would buy another one and treat it better, but he insisted on sending me another one. In a few days I received a package with two Banana plants in it and he also refunded the money for the plant I bought. There was a problem though, as, despite the fact that the plants were packaged very well, the postoffice had managed to rip the package and plants right in half. I contacted Ted to let him know what the post office had done. And he said he would send more. I told him no again, as the plants where not killed and they may grow anyway, I thought we should wait and see. He insisted saying he wanted me to have nice trees and sent four more. All of them as beautiful a plant as one could ever imagine. Now I bought one plant from him (that he refunded the money for) but have 6 banana plants all looking good, as well as a new best friend in Ted even though we have never met face to face and a lesson on how to treat a costumer extremely well and a lesson on caring for banana plants. Yes, the plants that the post office mangled had a set back, but are now growing and looking good even if the are a little smaller than the others. I should add that he also sent a complimentary copy of his book on greenhouses and rasing plants (a very interesting read, Ted is an authority on greenhouse building and operation as well as hydroponics. Ted builds greenhouses and sets up hydroponic operations internationally.) and he sent two papaya trees to help fill out my Fijian Garden, no charge – not even for postage. He said he sent two papaya trees so there was a good chance I would get at least one to live. It is obvious that Ted had learned about my ability with tropical plants. Now Ted asks me to send him a photo every week of the plants he sent, so he can keep track of how they are doing and advice me on their care. I sent photos for three weeks on Thursday. Then missed one Thursday. Ted sent an email saying that he “missed my photo this Thursday”. Can you believe a nursery going to that much trouble? It is hard to understand how Ted stays in business when he is so kind with his time and plants, not to mention the cost of shipping them. I have never dealt with a company that was so concerned about their customers having a good experience dealing with them, as well as making sure their customers have the best product possible. I live in Utah and Ted is in Florida, so I was a complete stranger to Ted until the banana plant I bought from him had a problem, yet he treated me like a very dear old friend and could not do enough for me. As far as I am concerned Greenearth Co. is the only place to buy banana plants. Not only are they tissue culture propagated, so disease free, but also backed by the most caring and honest nursery owner one could ever hope to deal with. Ted is more interested in his customers having a good experience buying plants, as well as having the best plants possible, than he is in making money. He has proved that over and over.

The fact that there are several negative remarks just proves the old adage "You can't please everybody". There will always be somebody that can't be pleased, but it is not because Ted doesn't try. I ordered some banana plants from Ted and the Post Office crushed the box in transit, ruining only one of the plants. Ted sent a new one right away and a couple of days later the Post Office delivered another box, this one bent in half. I managed to save the plant inside in spite of many breaks and told Ted that everything was OK and that I was a happy customer. Next day I had another banana plant arrive on my doorstop. I emailed Ted and told him that I needed to pay for this one since the replacement was doing fine and he said that his guarantee is for a good plant to be delivered in perfect shape and refused my money. I can't imagine better customer service could be had anywhere. Ted is more than just a stand up guy. I will always order from him and nobody else when looking for new banana plants. I can't say enough about either the high quality of his plants or his customer service. Both superlative. Rick

I was shock when I opened the shipping box. I was expecting a small mostly dried up, and will on the road to die. I found a pleasant surprise. unwrapped 2 health plants actually that has green leaves. Not dead, and withered. I am 100% very satisfied with the quality. AAAAA+++++. I, too, had the same problem as others. My order status for weeks was 'will ship in 2-3 days'. While all that time my plants were sitting in the PO, and because of a mistake there I wasn't notified. Future customers--don't believe your 'order status'.

Posted on June 1, 2012, updated June 6, 2013 I ordered 2 banana's during their sale, I got the email saying shipping would be delayed 2-3 days - with a link to check the status of my order. I checked this most days, but it never changed. Nevertheless my order arrived today with 2 nice 12" plants after just over a week.

On June 6th, 2013, chadinlg changed the rating from positive to neutral and added the following: Well after receiving the plants which looked OK, I have lost both of them. Neither grew much after they were received, and they both eventually succumbed to rot. I believe I gave them good care, and they were kept in my greenhouse, so I am disappointed.

I ordered one banana tree in June. I did not receive it and contacted the seller 3 months later. My invoice stated that it would ship in 2-3 days the whole 3 month period. I sent a follow up email and I got an email in all caps that said my tree shipped in June. Then another that said sorry for the delay, they were busy with a sale. My invoice now says "shipped",but no tree. It is now the end of September! I am contacting PayPal for a refund and trying to figure out how to leave negative feedback on a few sites so this won't happen to others.

Posted on June 8, 2012, updated August 12, 2012 Hi everyone out there :) I have been checking out the Garden Watchdog for years and was always too lazy to join the membership. But, I finally did so to give a honest and true opinion of the few companies I deal with mail order. Anyways, I have been dealing with Ted at Greenhouse.net for a couple of years now and am here to tell everyone out there that he truly works hard to keep you happy and satisfied. He is a great person with excellent customer service skills and will go out of his way to offer you the best of the best. This comment is NOT about one particular order, but over 40 or so orders. He doesnt argue you with about any issues you may have and often will ALWAYS send free plants if something goes wrong. Things are taken care of promptly, usually within minutes. Emails are returned almost as fast as I can type it and send it to him. He does not make and break promises or give you the run around like many of the other online nurseries. I only deal with a few others out there, like Four Winds Growers (citrus trees), Florida Hill Nursery (different tropical plants, and Wellsprings Gardens (other different tropical plants) from many other bad experiences with other mail order nurseries. I wont name any of them, as it is not fair to them because I would never order from any of them again and it has been a long time since I did order, and hopefully they have fixed things for future customers. But, once is enough for me!!!! So, as an Electrical and Landscaping contractor with a fairly large company it is nice to have Ted as a reliable and easy to deal with mail order nursery. As a matter of fact, I dont even deal with any other company for banana plants. They are always large, healthy and almost always thrive. That is a big plus in my business because I too have to keep my customers happy. But, as far as good points about Ted and his company this is what you can HONESTLY expect: *Great prices *Cheap shipping (I see the shipping labels and the costs of them, and I usually order 15 to 40 banana plants at a time and I wonder how he even makes any money sending that many plants with shipping over $80.00 on average for that size of an order. I actually feel guilty about it that I am going to split up the shipments so he dont get ripped off like that) *Fast shipping (usually within 2 to 3 days at the very most, and many times within 24 hours) *Friendly customer service *Quick response times on any email or phone call (usually within minutes) *Most importantly, big, healthy and disease free banana plants) But, I am not going to keep on going on and on, and I just felt it necessary to share my experience with Ted so maybe he can gain even more satisfied customers, of which he deserves. Give him a try, and rest assured you will be happy and hopefully add another good review for him. Thanks Ted if you ever do read this and am glad to call you a friend. Take care everyone out there and happy gardening!!!! Jeff D.

WE are the only company that will try to send banana plants with leaves threw the mail. I try to please everyone but do make mistakes, also free plants when i do". ALL FALSE! Buyer BEWARE! Ebay? I found no such store under this name. I researched (should have done before buying from him) reviews and EVERY review site has bad comments. His site shows only "Excellent" feedback that is posted by him. He does not back his plants, my mom bought 2 banana plants from him one is doing great and the other one is struggling. After 3 weeks she sent him an email (a kind one, have proof) and he was rude and told her she did it all wrong and told her good luck. Which we followed HIS directions to a T. She paid a ridiculous amount for the 2 tiny trees and then to be treated this way. Michigan Bulb has beautiful plants and they guarantee their plants up to 30 days, I have ordered from them for over 3 years and for the 1st time I had a bad plant and with out hesitation they are sending me a new one.
