I recently ordered through Christie's clump sale, and I am more than happy that I did. When she says clump, she means clump, not just a couple of fans. The plants arrived still moist and I definitely received my money's worth. I will shop again in the future! Excellent communication, too.

Christie Dixon offered a sale through the AHS Bulletin Board so I sent for the listing. The prices were unbelivably low! The plants arrived today and they are HUGE, Green and clumps of 3 - 10 fans each! Christie is back in business! And she is selling great plants at very low prices! These plants are recent introction as bargain basement prices. But they are far from bargain basement plants! Wow!

I am very impressed. Christie contacted me right away, shipped my order within a few days, and gave me extra plants. I will be ordering from her again and again!

I received a huge, healthy seedling from Christie's Daylilies. I was extremely happy with the quality of the plant, since I had bought several seedlings this spring from other sellers whose seedlings were real disappointments. I will definitely be back for more, if the first plant is any indication of the type of plant she sends.

My spring order from Christie Dixon arrived last week and I was very pleased. Some of the plants she sent were so big I had to plant them in 7 gallon pots. They wouldn't have fit in anything smaller. Most plants sent also had extra fans. All had good root systems and all were well packed. I have also found her to be true to her word. She told me in December that the Mrs. John Cooper's would be smaller and they were. She did not do any false advertising for her products. All are growing well. Christie is also very personable and a great daylily lady to work with, friendly with good communication skills.

I ordered a daylily from Christie, sent check, had to call, leaving a message on her answering machine, to change shipping date, and although I never received any communication, she sent a beautiful plant, arriving on time, and I'm a happy camper. I would order from her again.

Timely delivery as always from Christie's. The daylily plants we received each time we have ordered are always large and healthy. Christie's is always a pleasure to do business with.

We don't just send orders in the mail or email sellers. You just never know what is happening in others lives. All I can say is we did phone them last winter and had no problems at all with ordering from them, plus adding a couple more plants to the order later. We are very pleased with the service and communications that we received and then when we got the plants..WOW. Nice healthy plants with a very generous bonus! Will we be ordering from these folks again? You can bet we will. They get 2 thumbs up from us.

My first order, for only one daylily, and they sent a 5-fan clump. Communication was good and prompt, the price reasonable. I'd order again.

I just recieved my order from Christie today. I had ordered 9 daylilies and they were wonderful. Most of them were clumps and I do mean clumps. They were nicely packed. This was my first time ordering from her and I was surprised and impressed with her generosity. Very nice healthy plants!!!

On 11/09/2006 I ordered Unfolding Paradox and sent my check for $28.00 ($20.00 plant cost + $8.00 shipping). I did not receive he plant and after several unanswered e-mails I finally received a refund of $20.. with the explanation that the plant was not available .."my Mexicans must have pulled it up when they were weeding" After numerous e-mails Christie still wil not respond to my requests for refund of the shipping charge. Beware

I had some doubts before I placed my order, since I had read an earlier negative post here at Dave's Garden. I decided to give it a try, anyway. Today,I just received my order from Christie, and these plants are to die for! They are big, gorgeous, mature, healthy plants. They arrived in perfect condition, and I am thrilled not only with the quality, the fast service, but also the reasonable prices. I will certainly be ordering from this business again.

I spoke with Christies husband before I put in my order and even though they were out of my first choice daylilies they were very patient with my calling several times to verify other choices. I was concerned when I saw the website down and was not able to reach them by phone but an email was answered within days. The daylilies I received are a very good size and she sent more than I had ordered. I have to say I am very happy with the plants I received and the condition when I opened the box.

They don't respond to your communications, plants are small, many didn't live. Buy elsewhere where you and your dollar are respected enough to keep in touch. Maryott's, Marietta, Ridaught and others keep you informed, give bonuses and healthy plants--spend your money there.

On June 17th, 2007, TuddyE added the following: I posted both last season about problems, and this season, months ago--but refrained from leaving a watchdog evaluation until I was sure of my experiences. I have written many reviews but only a few negatives. These are just my own experiences. I realize others may have had different ones, that is why we all are urged to post our own. I did place 2 orders with this company and personally spoke to persons at the home number on the two times [in over a year] when I could get an answer. I'm sorry she feels this way, I am glad the last payment was not deducted from my charge, as I will no longer do business with people that have too many problems to connect with their customers. I am certain if she provides the service she contends, she will have no problem with losing a few idiots from her customer base. Jackie from KY

On June 17th, 2007, TuddyE added the following: I glad you remember me, even if you don't remember my order. I am sorry if the housekeeper thought I was rude, I never meant to be. I have searched the last 258 calls on my caller ID, and can't seem to find where I was contacted. It may have been not working, nor the answering machine, or aol call alert--I am not certain where the problem lies. Anyway, we have both expressed our opinions, and I wish the Dixons better health and luck in the future. End of story.

I must admit that it's a bit difficult communicating with this grower, but I received very nice plants. I sent an e-mail requesting several cultivars, and after I got the confirmation, I telephoned with my credit card number. My order was promptly filled and sent. For the value one gets, I think it's worth having a bit of patience with this grower. Someone said they got puny fans. Well, some daylilies make puny fans, even in the South.

I was able to order a hard to find daylily from them. The plant arrived today - was three large healthy fans,( i ordered a dbl.fan) in beautiful condition and nicely packed. It seems you need to email in your request for confirmation as her prices are very good and she sells out quickly. Based on my experience I would definitely order again.

I ordered $58 worth of daylilies from this company last spring. They were very small & puny, no bonus plants, and the order was short one plant. Christie promised to reimburse me for the missing one but never did, despite two reminders. One of them was a $20 daylily. It did not bloom and several of them did not live. (Only two of them bloomed at all & none of them grew big enough to be sure they would make it thru the winter) This caused me to not want to order live plants thru the mail but I think that if they had not been so tiny, there would not have been a problem. I have bought over 100 locally and never had one to die.

On June 18th, 2007, Azurel added the following: I am pleased to report that two of the daylilies I bought from Christie in 2005 (Admiral's Braid & one that I think may be Russian Ragtime) have finally bloomed this year, along with my daylily seed that I planted in 2005. I still say they were some of the smallest fans I have ever received & took the longest to bloom & had the lowest survival rate of any I have ever ordered by mail but in fairness, I must say that perhaps I ordered a bit too early in the season. A friend who is a hydridizer says he ordered from her in September & got huge plants. Also she did finally send a check for the missing daylily.

On November 6, 2005, I sent an order with a check for a particular dayliliy I was interested in with the instructions of 'No Substitutions'. I did not receive any response that they had received my order, so I began sending email inquiries and phone calls. All went unaswered until Dec.12, 2005. At that time, I received an email from them stating they were out of the item I ordered and would be sending my check back to me. To date, I have received NOTHING from them AND no responses to my further inquiries about my refund. No way would I EVER order from them or recommend them to anybody. My check was only for $33.00, but it would cost me $25.00 to put a stop payment on it. Hardly worth the effort. My recommendation is: stay away from Dixon Delight/Christie's Daylilies.

On February 15th, 2006, sybiltwo added the following: Update for my original comment: On February 13, '06, I finally received my check from Christie's. There were no apologies for the delay or anything; just the check.
