I had contacted Sooner to order several items for a fall shipment. The customer assistance proved invaluable during the entire process (pre-order, updating my account information, payment options, and shipment). Once the shipment arrived the folks from Sooner did not disappoint. The packaging on the over-sized boxes was sturdy and the trees arrived in perfect condition. Best of all, they were exactly what I was hoping for and even larger than expected on these hard-to-find varieties. This is not my first order from Sooner and it won't be the last.

I took a gardening class at the New York Botanical Gardens. My instructor gave us a list of websites that she bought plants from and had good experiences with. Sooner Plant Farm was one of the places on that list. I ordered several plants from them and 2 trees and they arrived in perfect condition and were very healthy looking. I am very happy with the items! The icing on the cake with this order though, was their customer service! I received a shipment date that would not have worked for me and emailed them to change it. They were so easy to work with and said no problem! Then, I also needed to increase my quantity on my order of a particular plant and again with the, No-Problem-Happy-to-do-it response! This was a great experience and I will definitely buy from them again!

I recently received my second order from Sooner Plant Farm and was again amazed at the sturdy packaging and great condition of my plant upon arrival! I was so pleased with its robust size and health. Even though it was a week before I planted it, it has thrived! I am so appreciative of the helpfulness of Sooner staff, especially Colin McInnes, the Sales Manager. A Hardy Hibiscus I had hoped to order wasn’t available. Colin recommended another, closely related cultivar, Midnight Marvel. I’m so glad I took his recommendation! Midnight Marvel is a stunning addition to my garden! Sooner Plant Farm is definitely my Go To plant source!

Our Katsura tree came today and was packaged perfectly. A very healthy looking tree. This is the second tree we have gotten from Sooner Farms. The first was a black weeping willow which also came in perfect condition. We totally recommended Sooner Farms for all you planting needs. Prices are very fair and shipping cost are reasonable. I purchased the JFK Peace Rose online. It is such a big beautiful healthy plant. I just planted it and it has settled into the garden without any trouble. I very impressed with the quality of this plant. I will be ordering from them again!

I have needed to put in a positive review for Sooner Plant Farm for the longest time. A recent bad experience (for which I posted a review) with FastGrowingTrees.com makes it even more important I do so. I bought a home in Edmond, OK with dead, dying, and volunteer trees in bad locations so I had to have them all removed. I have been in the process of relandscaping the property around this house. I have purchased several trees and shrubs this year from Sooner Plant Farm including: JN Strain American Hornbeam, Parkland Pillar Birch, Royal Purple Smoke Tree, Golden Belltower Ironwood, Vanessa Persian Ironwood, Mt. Airy Witch Alder, Pink Double Knockout Rose, and Skytower Ginkgo. All of the plants arrived in perfect condition, lush, symmetrical, and healthy. Sooner Plant Farm can't always ship immediately as FedEx wants a big order from them to send down a truck to small Park Hill, OK from Tulsa, OK. But once they ship there is minimal transit time. The packaging is heavy duty and superior to competitors. I have always been satisfied with Sooner Plant Farm. Great job Sooner Plant Farm!

Plants were beautiful and delivered quickly and in perfect shape. Shipping was extremely fast. Planting guide was very informative and helpful. Great mail order nursery to order from.

We live in Atlanta area and ordered a 5-6' AUTUMN FANTASY MAPLE at the end of June, 2022. It arrived several days late but still in wonderful condition for planting. The shipment packaging was first class and we planted immediately. We were concerned as our early July/Aug this year was extremely warm and very dry. We followed the directions, daily watering, and in about two weeks, we had new leaves already appearing! As we enter early September, the tree LOOKS GREAT and we are looking forward to the fall colors. It has been a great addition to our front yard and admired by many neighbors. We even added a spotlight to show we had humor and confidence for its future. It far exceeded our expectations and Sooner Plant Farm exceeded their great reputation.

Beautiful plants and GREAT customer service. I searched and searched for the PERFECT crepe myrtles for my front yard. I read all about ZUNI, tried every local nursery, put myself on wish lists, scoured the internet, and of course checked Dave's Garden for suggestions. I ordered 3 ZUNI Crepe Myrtles from Sooner Plant Farm. Colin and Brian were SO patient helping me during pre-order, post-order, and post installation. The plants came perfectly packaged and green. Two went into shock after they were planted and Colin and Brian coached me through their care. All 3 ZUNI's are doing great and have bloomed this first year! I highly recommend Sooner Plant Farm! Ordered two trees from Sooner Plant Farm. They arrived in 90 degree heat but were not wilted at all. The packaging was the best I have seen from the many places I have ordered. Thick corrugated box with good wrapping around the roots. The box weighed 55 lbs for just two trees! The trees were the size promised and well branched. Also they did not charge my credit card until the order was shipped. I will definitely order from them again.

My first purchase at Sooner Plant Farm was a Magnolia called Judy Zuk, grown in a 5 gallon root pouch. I was little concerned about ordering such a large tree during a warm summer month; but I went ahead with the purchase anyway. I asked the wonderful people at Sooner Plant Farm to select a beautiful tree, and they did not disappoint! The tree was extremely healthy and well protected for transport. Absolutely no signs of suffering during the near 100 degree temp, 3 day journey to PA via FedEx. This company has an incredible future and I look forward supporting them for many years to come.

I just received my order of three Blue Shadow Fothergilla bushes from Sooner Plant Farm. I had been looking for these locally for weeks and could not find them. I decided to try to find them online, and I happened upon the Sooner Plant Farm web site. There they were: Large Blue Shadow fothergilla - exactly what I was looking for. I hesitated at the cost, but with free shipping I figured they were more than fairly priced and went ahead and ordered them. Honestly, when the plants arrived today, I expected to be underwhelmed. But when I opened the boxes, I found three large, healthy, well-developed fothergilla bushes. Their simple but ingenious packaging meant that even though they were delivered upside down the plants were undamaged. I'm beyond satisfied with my order, and look forward to purchasing from this company again.

Just wanted to say "thank you" for the beautiful Pyracantha that arrived today in perfect condition. It's already in the ground 30 minutes after FedEx delivery. We'd purchased a Pyracantha years ago from Sooner and unfortunately had to leave it behind when selling our home to downsize. But the good news is Sooner is still there and we get to enjoy growing / watching another one! These offer beauty year-round and a perfect accent for a foundation/lattice climber.

I have purchased a number of plants from Sooner. I tend to go to Sooner first for my plants, because the root systems have always been well-established. Yesterday I received a moonlight climbing hydrangea and it was packaged so carefully that even the smallest new growth was intact. The transit time was virtually overnight, so the plant was also unaffected by the Texas heat. I'm thrilled with this beautiful plant and am glad I found Sooner as an online source.

Last June when my 94 year old mother passed a friend sent me a Malus Royal Raindrops Crabapple tree. It sat for two weeks before we planted it in 100+ degree weather. I watered it twice a day and this spring it was in FULL BLOOM and looking incredible. I just ordered a 'sibling' tree to accompany it in the front yard. It came on Friday and I can't wait to plant it and watch it bloom with it's sibling next spring!! I highly recommend Sooner Plant Farm!!

Last year I purchased four Schizophragma Rose Sensation false hydrangea vines from a local nursery for $75 each (ouch). Due to our cicada invasion, one died before I was able to get it in the ground. I looked far and wide to replace it this year and encountered a vast array of prices and sizes. I noted that Sooner Plant Farm was selling them for $45 with a shipping charge of $20, so I phoned to ask how large they were, assuming I'd be told they were very small. Instead I was told they were 18", so larger than what I bought locally last year for less money. Sure enough, a beautiful, healthy and vigorous 19" plant arrived today. Needless to say I am seriously impressed. Would that some of the better known east coast nurseries (WFF, Wayside, etc.) sold such large, healthy plants for comparable amounts; we'd all have better gardens. I also emailed Sooner's to ask about planting as it's been a very cold spring in the mid-Atlantic and actually received an answer the same day. All around, a highly recommended plant purveyor.

I just received another order from Sooner plant farm. Everything was well-packed and looked so healthy. I got a couple of perennials and three shrubs. Whenever I’m looking for a newly introduced plant, I always check Sooner Plant Farm. Colin, the Sales manager is so helpful and really provides great customer service. Every email is answered. I have already started building my Fall order.

I have been ordering trees, shrubs and plants from Sooner's for a few years now. I have always been impressed by their responsiveness, the quality of their plants and the care in which they take in shipping them. I just ordered and received a prairie fire crab-apple tree. It was packaged so well and so healthy you couldn't tell it had been in transit for 3 days. It is a beautiful tree and not a stick like you get from other companies. In times like these it's nice to deal with a company that still provides a quality service.

i had been looking for a harry lauder walking stick plant (filbert corkscrew plant) since 1997 when we moved from Nebraska to the northwest -- i knew this plant could with stand harsh weather since i had one on the acreage in Nebraska and should have no problems growing in the northwest -- nurseries new about them sometimes but did not carry the plant -- this plant arrived today in perfect condition, was well packaged and was just an outstanding specimen -- highly recommend this nursery

I have made several purchases from Sooner Plant Farm, one I picked up in person and a couple that were shipped. In each case, the product and service have been superb. The packaging is excellent and the product arrived in perfect condition. They have also been very helpful in trying to source some plants that I have been struggling to find. Their communication has been excellent. The Sooner Plant Farm folks are just nice people and I do not hesitate to recommend them.

I received the Asiatic Jasmine - snow n summer on time and the plants were in great shape. I have planted them now & I'm sure they'll grow. Sooner also sends packets of fertilizer with each shipment. This time they even sent me a very good ballpoint pen!! Thank you Sooner!

I have placed quite a few orders with Sooner Plant Farm. The plants have arrived in excellent condition. Last year COVID caused a delay in my order. They let me know about the delay and gave me the option to cancel the order a get a refund. I did so and they promptly gave me a refund. Highly recommended.

I have planted 26 trees this past year. They were sourced from 6 different on-line companies. While some arrived in nice condition, the tree I got from Sooner plant Farm was extraordinarily cared for and packaged beautifully.

I looked all summer for a Summer Gold Japanese Maple and finally found one at Sooner Nursery. They notified me several times about when it would arrive. That was so appreciated because we prepared the hole this morning so we could plant it immediately. The tree is gorgeous, arriving with all its leaves, looking very fresh and was the exact size that was ordered. The root ball was not girdled and had the perfect dampness to keep it fresh. I am very grateful to them for a beautiful tree and superb service. Would order from them again.

I ordered 2 Dark Mystery hibiscus in jumbo gallon pots .The plants arrived in beautiful condition. The packing of these 2plants was fantastic I have ordered plants from west coast to east coast and many in between. I have never seen packing as wonderful as these . This company is incredible! I was skeptical and a bit nervous when I placed my order - buying plants sight unseen, asking that they ship them half way across the country, and risking (what I considered) a rather expensive order. But they did it! The plants were beautiful and arrived in perfect condition. Their methods of packing for shipment are MOST impressive. The plants arrived exactly when they said they would. And, I love, love, love the Root Pouches - they seem to do a great job keeping everything moist, make it easy to plant without disturbing the roots, and the handles are awesome when it comes to moving the larger trees without a struggle! Sooner has convinced me that their product and their ability to deliver are outstanding - so much so, that I will be ordering ALL my plants from them!

I am so pleased I found the Sooner Plant Farm. The service was outstanding, follow-up was great and the tree came in perfect condition after delivery. They hand selected the best specimen, sent me a pic and packaged it securely and sturdily. This spring I placed an order for ten 'Sprinter' boxwoods. They arrived in excellent condition -- plants as healthy as anything I have ever ordered. (The packaging was great, too.) Customer service has been very prompt and pleasant. Highly, highly recommended!

We placed our order for a Gingko Sky Tower tree this spring. The instructions were simple and great explanations of the care Sooner's goes to in order to protect their item. It arrived on time and in the best packing we have ever seen. The tree is green and healthy. The instructions for planting are clear. An invitation to contact them at any point of concern or help needed was offered. We couldn't be more satisfied.

We are new this 2021 season to the Sooner Plant Farm experience. This company offers the buyer a full experience. The website, the plants, the shipping and the customer service...but what makes it a full service experience are the extras the come with ordering from them. Let's reminisce. At a time long long ago, you'd pull into a gas station, a man would coming running out. He would hook the hose up to the car and start pumping the gas. While that was being done, he would wash your windshield, and check your tires. Take the money and return any change... maybe even bring you a pack of cigarettes and you'd never get out of the car. On the gas station sign would be "Full Service". Sooner Plant Farm is " full service ". We have placed many orders of Coneflower, Tickseed, Holly, Viburnum. Every plant is healthy and thriving. Each order comes with a special packet of fertilizer that once buried, will fertilize for a year. The plants are not shipped until it is the best time to plant for your zone (unless you request a different time) and are guaranteed. They take care of all the botanical! Plus a human answers the phone or if they're busy, leave a message! A human will call you back! Sooner realizes that you are paying for quality and they respect that. The investment is worth having a healthy, unique yard/home that is enjoyable. So when you drive by or pull into the drive, you get that full service feeling! The plants, the shipping and the customer service are quality. That's what you are paying for and they ship it to you!

I wanted to plant a tree in memory of a loved one lost in 2020. I decided on a Royal Raindrops tree, for its beautiful purple leaves and pink flowers in spring, tiny fruit in summer, and colorful fall foliage. I searched many nurseries and garden centers in NY but was unable to find one; I then tried looking online. Sooner Plant Farm was the only place I could find that would send a good-sized tree and not a barefoot dormant tree. I received my almost 6' tree (potted in a root pouch) only 5 days after my order was placed! It arrived with no damage and, to my surprise, is full of lovely purple leaves. We planted it three days ago and it still looks great-no transplant shock. I'm very happy with my purchase and with Sooner Plant Farm's customer service as well- I had a question (since I never planted a tree before) which they answered quickly and thoroughly. I highly recommend this company.

After more than 50 years of home ownership, I've purchased dozens of mail-order plants from quite a few nurseries. I'm not sure I've ever been as impressed as I was today with the Lord Baltimore hibiscus I received from Sooner. It's one thing to say that "we don't ship bare root"; it's totally another thing to receive a one-gallon plant whose root ball filled the container and was totally moist when the plant was received. I had been told that "we won't ship until the plant breaks hibernation" but I was amazed to receive a healthy ~10 inch tall new-growth plant ready to go out in the garden. I highly recommend Sooner and hope to do business with them again.

Sooner Plant Farm is the most reliable nursery I have ever dealt with. I always check their site for plant availability before making a purchase elsewhere. Their plants are always healthy and carefully packed for shipping. To top it all off they are great communicators! I am a huge fan.

My son passed away in December from a genetic illness. One of his last wishes was to have a mimosa tree planted, because he wanted to help pollinators like birds, bees and butterflies. All of which love mimosa. Well, I soon discovered how difficult it is to find a mimosa tree! Nobody has them. Apparently they are considered weeds around here. Finally I found the web site for Sooner, and they didn’t have any, but they had a way for me to get notified as soon as one was available. I put my name on the list, but did not have high expectations. Sure enough, after a few weeks, I got a notice saying they had six trees. We were skeptical of ordering a tree online. 25 years ago we ordered some trees from a different company and what we got were some bare sticks, which didn’t even grow. But I decided to try, because I couldn’t find anything at all locally. The tree arrived today and we were very happy. The packaging was incredible. Like Fort Knox for trees! And the tree is so pretty it made me cry. My son would have loved it! A HUGE Thank You to Sooner for making his final wish possible.

Large order from Sooner Plant Farm arrived in GREAT shape. Plants are extremely well packed, healthy and ready to plant. One or two were slightly wilted, but that can be explained by FedEx delaying the delivery by a day. In any event, they perked right up after some water and a rest in the shade. I love Sooner. I’ve been a customer for three years, and I expect excellence and get it. Sooner will work with you to get just the rights plants for your situation, will accommodate additions and deletions to an order and will love to hear from you about your plants and what luck (or not!) you’ve had in your garden. These folks are very fine indeed!!

Good morning: I received the shrubbery from your farm. Out of the hundreds or so plants I received through the past years, your shipment was by far superior.   The shrub was full of leaves, none fell off in shipment!   The growth of the plant was excellant.   The shipping box was a cargo container is sheep's clothing!    The sealing  around the pot and moisture preserving techniques you use, are top notch. And...You don't just shove a plant into a pot, you grow it so the roots ARE NOT balled up to the edges. Thank You for a high quality product.!

I ordered a shrub and it came the following week. It was in excellent condition and so very carefully packaged that not even a leaf was bent! I was astonished! I love plants and have ordered from several companies, but never before had one arrive in such perfect condition.

We just received our first order from Sooner Plant Farm. Sooner had to make several changes in our order due to the unprecidented mid-March freeze that killed some of the plant stock we wanted. Their customer service representatives worked with us to find a good replacement and were able to ship our entire order on time. The plants arrived in excellent condition and are already starting to flower in our garden. I can't wait to put together my next order from Sooner!

I don't care what their so-called 30-day warranty states, but for a premium price, I expect them to honor a request to replace a tree that was sent in the autumn and did not survive the winter. I won't be wasting my money on this nursery anymore. So much for supporting a nursery in my region.

I was looking for a Japanese Stewartia and my local upscale plant nursery on Long island wanted $340 for a 5 to 6 foot specimen. I was torn as I'm older and would have purchased it but I decided to check online as I've had luck with different online nurseries in the past. I found Sooner Plant Farm and was connected the the Yard Manager. He took a few pics of his Stewartias in the yard and sent to me and they were beautiful. They were 3 to 4 feet and very lush and healthy. The Stewartia was a third of the price I was going to pay at my local nursery. I quickly ordered on a Tuesday afternoon and the box showed up at my doorstep mid-day Friday. Honestly, I get transit damage and all but not one leaf was out of place on this beautiful specimen! based on the quality of the Stewartia that I received and the pleasant " and here to serve" attitude displayed by the Yard Manager and the person who took my order I give this company a ten out of ten!! I'll be sure to come back and order more things from them!!!!

I have difficulty in searching the uncommon FRAGRANT SNOWBELL (STYRAX OBASSIA) and could only find it available at Sooner Plant Farm. I placed the order in March and received in April due to weather condition in Virginia. The tree arrived well preserved and I have to say that the packing quality is beyond expectation. I was very happy and satisfied with the product: a solid tree with strong thick base trunk and well formed branches with quite a number of flower buds. To be honest, this is the best experience I ever have during 60+ online plants purchase in last 10 months.

It almost seems redundant to leave a review on top of the thousands of positive ones, but for the record, my experience was great. I bought a native red mulberry and planted it after it had acclimated for a week on the porch. It has been going strong for around a year, has doubled in height and is green all over. We planted it in the spring and it grew like crazy. It's clearly developed lovely roots and overwintered just fine. I hope to get all my trees from them going forward.
