I ordered ever-bearing strawberries and blueberries from Daisy Farms last year. They were very prompt in the delivery. My plants grew very well. We actually had so many strawberries through out the summer, my family couldn't keep up with eating them all. I'm sure this year will be the same. I better make room in my freezer. I am very happy with Daisy Farms. I will continue to use them for my other plant needs.

In the spring of 2010 we bought 34000 Jersey asparagus crowns from Daisy. We drove over to pick them up, and when we arrived they had not been counted, or boxed. We spent 4 hours helping them count and box them as we had driven 7 hours. Not a huge deal, but it should have told us something. We got the crowns planted and everything seemed normal the first year. We had expected to have a limited harvest the second year but the size wasn't there so we sprayed for weeds, fertilized and let the plants go. Same thing happened in 2012, no size so we did not pick again. I did notice quite a few seeds berries in the field but didn't pay too much attention to it. We have 15000 Jersey plants that we planted in 2000 that you will get a female plant once in a while. 2013 we had anticipated at least a 3 to 4 week harvest. We tried picking but after doing one acre there just was no size to it. So, once again we fertilized, sprayed, and let the field go. This spring, 2014 we picked for approx. 3 weeks. Size wasn't great but we had to start to get some money off of the field. After we quit picking we sprayed again for weeds, and applied fertilizer. I just walked the field and it turns out we have 30% to 50% female plants. I know from our other field, that we had bought the crowns from a different grower that you might see 1 female plant out of a thousand. I have tried contacting Daisy about this to no avail. The price difference of the Jersey crowns compared to the Washingtons is bad enough, but we had planned on picking this field for a minimum of 20 years and the yield difference will be huge over the life of the bed. If we would have wanted a non-Jersey variety that would have been what we would have bought. I will try contacting them a few more times to get this straightened out. If they will not respond we will be turning it over to our lawyer. I am not sure if they just mislabeled their crowns, or if it was an out right misrepresentation but either way we did not get what we had bought.

Ordered seascape strawberries in the late fall. Got a call in March regarding they were out of Seascape and they wanted to substitue another. I said no, cancelled the strawberries and ordered from another site. I left the balance of my order with Daisy which was 100 asparagus plants and 10 black berries. Still waiting on these. I have called several times. Most of the time you get a recording and have to call back. When you finally get ahold of someone, they act like they don't know what is going on. Have to always go "find out" where the order is. when they put the phone down, they don't put you on hold and you can hear everything. Mostly just laughter and chatter. Twice I have been told that they don't know what the status of the order is as their "shipper" has gone home for the day. They did charge my credit card, but still no product. Still waiting as they have told me twice now that it will ship "Monday". I will never order from this company (I use the term loosely) again.

in Feb 2014, I ordered 25 of the new NJ1113 asparagus and 25 of the new NJ1122 asparagus variety. My checking account shows they took out $50 for payment on 3/15/14. I received an invoice from them stating I owed an additional $40 and If I did not send it, the order would not be shipped. Invoice was dated 2/28/14. I emailed them 3 times since and no response. I tried calling several times. Got a recorder that said to leave a message 2 times. No return call. The rest of the times I tried to call I got a message that said voice mailbox is full. I am not happy. I wanted my asparagus in the ground 6 weeks ago. As far as I know, I will never be getting any nor my $50 back. $50 does not sound like much but I live on a $428 a month pension so it a big deal to me. I would never order from Daisy Farms again.

I ordered 1500 Earliglow strawberry plants from this farm in 2010. They never sent out runner plants. Needless to say a waste of time. They never have time to talk to you and you never get to speak with the owner. May have cheap prices, but if you're strawberries don't run well, you're wasting time, money and land.

In late January 2013, I placed an order with Daisy Farms for a bundle of fifty Jersey Supreme Asparagus crowns for a school garden that I manage. I received the crowns in mid-April 2013 and got exactly what I expected - excellent quality crowns at a reasonable price. The plants shot right up and are doing well. Email communications from this nursery were courteous and to the point - just the way I prefer it. I highly recommend this company and am likely to order from them again.

I ordered 25 Triple Crown blackberries online from Daisy Farms. I get a confirmation email almost instantly from them. A couple of days later I receive another email that says that the web site was wrong and the price I was given was incorrect. I called them and they said that I could buy them but not at the price that was on the web site. I told them that if they would not honor the advertised price I was going to cause a stink. The lady put me on hold for a while and said that they just realized they were out of stock. But when they came back in they would let me know. Over a month later they called and told me they were back in stock but would not honor their original price. I hate being lied to!

Posted on July 15, 2011, updated January 11, 2013 Ok, yes the Asparagus was a great deal from Daisy farms. But why bother to pay for all male asparagus if 50% of it turns out to be female? After 2 years of babying my 500 asparagus plants they are loaded with berries. I don't know if they don't grow the plants properly or don't rogue out the females but Daisy Farms is a complete rip off if they are selling all male plants that have just as many females as any open pollinated variety. My suggestion is spend a little more elsewhere and don't get ripped off.

On January 11th, 2013, drono changed the rating from negative to neutral and added the following: A few years later now. I've found that none of the "all male" varieties from Jersey are even close to "all male." This may not be the fault of Daisy farms but rather the seed breeders. I'm changing my rating due to this info.

I ordered 25 roots of horseradish, "Czechoslovakian", using their online order form. The order process was a bit primitive in that I didn't receive a confirmation number or email, so I gave a call a week later to confirm. A week or so after speaking to a pleasant lady who was working on the orders, I received a neatly trimmed and packaged bundle of clean, healthy, uniform roots. I recommend this company for price and quality over speed and technology. I can wait for value.

I have just received my order of Asparagus Crowns and I am extremely pleased with the size and condition. This is the second time I have ordered from Daisy Farms and I must say you get what you pay for. I have purchased crowns from other vendors in the past and have always been disappointed at the size of the crowns. The crowns I received from Daisy Farms are at least twice the size of the other guys and the price is right. I highly recommend you give them a try.

I ordered 25 two-year Jersey Knight asparagus crowns. When they did not arrive after about 10 days, I sent an e-mail. I got an immediate call from their customer service person. She was very sweet, apologetic, and explained that she was new to the job but was busily straightening out all problems as quickly as she found them. It appears that their online order system had not been working correctly and so they did not actually receive my order. She was as good as her word. My plants were shipped promptly via UPS. They are huge beautiful crowns. I put them in a pitcher of water and rooting stimulator because I could not plant them that day. The next morning several were already starting to put out little tiny shoots! I will be ordering from this company again and highly recommend them for the quality of their plants and for the quality of their customer service.

I ordered 1000 Strawberry plants from this company for the spring of 2006. As with most strawberries, the plants look dead at first so you never are sure what you have. I put them all in water for 2 days before planting and all came to life besides 2. They also could possibly have been alive, but I wasn't going to waste my time to see. I must say they have the cheapest plants, and all are doing exceptionally well ( save the 2). I have ordered from other companies over the years and there is no comparison in my eyes. Daisy will get my strawberry plant business!

Small family-owned company specializing in strawberries, bush berries, asparagus, horseradish and rhubarb. I've dealt with them several times over the last 4 or 5 years. Selection is limited but quality of plants is good and prices excellent--lowest I've found on certain varieties of berry, asparagus and rhubarb plants. Service is a bit slow but I've received everything I've ordered in good condition. Survival of plants has been very good.
