We were introduced to the Mittlieder Method of gardening about 25 years ago. We have used the grow-boxes in several states and always had the most delicious, bountiful, and healthiest gardens around. Once they are established and built - the grow boxes are the easy to grow wonderful crops in. We call them our "lazy garden". Weeding is extremely easy, and picking produce is the hardest part of the garden once the boxes are filled, planted and watered. Feeding takes only a few minutes a week. We have a brand new yard - it is now set it up with lots of espalier fruit trees; and we feed them with same fertilizer formula, too. We will never go back to any other kind of garden. Jim Kennard answered my questions promptly when I asked him - even though he was overseas at the time. These wonderful people teach people all over the world how to grow their own food.

The Mittleider Method rocks! After reading "More Food From Your Garden" I'd finally found a simplified approach and easy to do gardening system that made gardening fun and more productive than anything I'd ever tried in the past. As a new gardener I was very confused. After finding Dave's Garden Club- with its supportive gardening community I found out about the Mittleider Metod. Now I'm learning from both Ken Kennard's online newsletter as well the gardener on DG and am experiencing great success amateur gardener that I am.

I belong to the Mittleider online newsletter (www.mittleidermethodgardening@yahoogroups.com) and have benefitted greatly from reading the posts by the other members and from the very informative postings and answers from Jim Kennard. Jim has to be one of the most knowledgeable and informative people I know when it comes to all forms of gardening and fertilization. I have personally implemented the Mittleider methods in my own garden and have reaped the rewards. I would definitely reccommend everyone take advantage of the foundations website, books, the online newsletter, and Jim's wealth of knowledge. Thanks. Brett Tatton

The Mittleider gardending method, as outlined on their website and in their books, has allowed this very amateur gardener to increase my productivity and enjoyment very substantially. The explanations are clear, and the reasons for using the methods are logical. The company also markets complete fertilizers which are excellent. Tom Sevy in Salt Lake City, Utah December 2003

during the beginning of 2003, i became very interested in growing and farming. but during those days, i was totally a novice, i visited some store and bought some hydroponic set and started growing. i bought lots of books about hydroponic and growed tomatoes, peppers, cucumbers, melons. but none of them were successful. i browsed the web everyday and found food for everyone foundation, wrote a few emails for advice and ended up buying a few books. that was a few months ago, and i joined the mittleider method gardening forum. i asked a lot of questions and get a lot of easy to understand answer, considering english is not my native language. i became very excited to try out the method of mittleider and fabricated a few growbox myself. a lot of local farmers laughed at my experiment, "how can we grow on sand and saw dust?" were their remarks. they all suggested me to find a new hobby instead of wasting my time. but those remarks stop coming after they seen the size of my corn plant. and i bet they will all learn the mittleider gardening sometime in the near future once i have harvested my corn. i admit that learning is never easy, and i get a lot of problems along the way, but with the help of jim kennard at the forum, those are my best experience in my life in growing. the literature and the graphic in the books are the most easy to understand. he guided me from mixing my soil mix, and even help me to analyzed the cost of the locally available fertilizers. i guess i am one of the lucky few to have came across his website.

I have had a backyard garden for years, but my yields were never as good as a neighbor's. Since my garden was carved out of an old horse pasture and we use the irrigation canal to water, we always had significant weeds in the garden. At the end of a rather mediocre gardening year, my neighbor told me about Mitleider growboxes he had used before moving to our city. I was particularly intrigued with the possiblity of getting control of the weeds. We obtained a copy of the Midleider gardening CD, laid out our garden to their specifications and gave it a try. We corresponded with their webmaster several times during the season. He was incredibly available to help us learn new techniques in watering, pruning and vertical growing to increase yield per square foot of garden. This first year was a good learning experience. I am already making plans for next spring. I am going to construct in-place green houses to allow for early spring planting right in the growbox, eliminating the need for transplanting later in the spring.
