Orded their e-book on pond building but never received an e-mail, as promised by their web site, providing instructions on where to download it. Sent multiple e-mails to the company with no response. Contacted their "orders only" number and was told there was no way to contact the company except by e-mail. Still have heard nothing back although my credit card was charged. Have filed a report with the Better Business Bureau (bbb.org)

This is a very old complaint and should have been removed a long time ago. This person ordered our ebook and it was immediately sent to the customer. Apparently the customer has a spam filter on their email or within their ISP that didn't allow our email and ebook to reach them. We request that they check their email account/folders when they place the order as sometimes our email is blocked from reaching them. This customer was refunded the entire amount of the ebook even though it was mailed to them several times.

On 8/29/2003, I ordered (from the absoluteponds.com website) the $8.95 e-course/e-book on pond construction and care. Despite receiving the automated canned acknowledgement email ("we'll reply promptly"), no e-book was delivered. Over the next week, I repeatedly emailed both absoluteponds.com and pondsolutions.com, as well as sent fax, asking the company to fix the problem: they took my money without delivering product. Beyond the canned automated email message, I have received nothing. I also emailed other entities (garden clubs, etc.) that appeared to recommend this company (Pond and Landscape Solutions, Inc. found at absoluteponds.com and pondsolutions.com ... perhaps others!) but no one seems to want to vouch for this company. I certainly can't.

This customer was promptly sent the ebook they purchased. It is automatically sent to the email address provided on the order form when it is purchased. Apparently their ISP or spam filter in their email program filtered our our email with the ebook. We make a notation on our website to make sure they check their spam folder for the ebook as sometimes spam filters block our emails from getting to our customers (spam filters can be great but they DO have their flaws!). This ebook was sent several times to this customer. They were also credited for the charge even though the ebook was sent to them several times. We are not in the business of 'taking customers money without delivering their product'. We have 1000s and 1000s of very satisified customers. While the internet can be a great way to shop and search for information, it does have it's flaws with servers sometimes being down, spam filters not working adequately, etc. We are always willing to help our customers and it's unfortunate this customer had a bad experience corresponding with us due to their email's spam filter.
