Posted on August 20, 2014, updated July 11, 2015 Wow, awesome experience. I love Bluebird Greenhouses. I got my first ever order from them and the plants are wonderful. Also I was pleasantly surprised by a gift violet. How nice! Looking forward to ordering from Bluebird Greenhouses again!

Worst customer service ever. Kept making excuses as to why she wouldn't ship, after weeks of that she ships without informing me first.

Posted on February 29, 2012, updated December 5, 2013 Recieved my leaves id ordered and all appear very healthy. Most had an extra leaf of each variety. And lots of extras! Wow! Will definately order again from them! Thank -you!

Just ordered from them for the first time and got four violets today. They arrived very well packed and in pretty good condition though I was a bit worried about the cold weather. Great selection and I can't wait to watch them grow and bloom!

This was my first purchase as a customer and the excellence and quality of the African Violets I received and all the extras far exceeded my expectations. I will certainly order from them again. Happy Customer!

Posted on June 9, 2005, updated November 3, 2010 Excellent experiences with this company. Bluebird has a large selection of varieties that aren't available elsewhere. They aren't as well known for minis but I gave theirs a try and was very happy with the excellent plants I received, Perfectly grown! I ordered a strep from them and it was also very nice.

Great experience. The website was easy to use and order from. The violets came quickly and were packaged to ensure no broken leaves. The violets they sent were well rooted and the free one even had buds. Also liked the selection of pots and saucers. Will order more from this company in the future. Thank you Bluebird Greenhouse.

Excellent service & shipping!!! Received an email telling me 7 african violet leaves order were shipped, received beautifully packed and labeled african violet leaves. The prices were so low I was expecting 1 leaf of each, instead they sent 2 of the larger ones and 3 of the minatures PLUS 5 extra sets of leaves!!! This is an awesome company and as soon as these root, I'm ordering more from this AAAAAAAA++++++++++ company. They are awesome!!!!! And the message from Libby on the box was too cute!!! Thank you Bluebird Greenhouses!!!

For the first time recently I ordered violets by mail from Bluebird Greenhouses. I ordered 6 violets. Received an email from them stating they were out of ONE and did I want a substitute. I responded "no substitute", just sent the other 5 I ordered. Then received an email telling me my order was shipped and I would not be charged for that one and one other. Today I received them and was quite upset. Out of 6 violets I only received 3 that I ordered and two substitutes. One of the substitutes is purple of which I have more than I need and the other I have no idea because there is no pix on their website. They didn't bother to check with me on this problem - just went ahead and shipped them. Not a good experience, so will try someone else in the future.

Ordered the packages of 6 minis and also 6 regular size assorted variety of violets and a couple other plants that I selected. I ordered these a couple days apart. I called and they kindly combined my order for shipping. I received my plants, as ordered, along with a bonus plant gift. Each plant was marked as to what it was. The shipping was very fast, even though I just paid for regular shipping. The plants are very nice quality. At first I didn't think any had flowers yet, until I took off the very tight plastic wrap (Need really sharp scissor to get off the wrap). About half had flowers/buds, all plants looked very healthy. The mini's are super tiny and very cute. I finally found a use for some antique china teacups... adorable. The regular size ones were great too, bigger than expected.

This is my first order with Bluebird Greenhouses. I am very pleased with my order. I ordered 2 African Violets and received 3. All 3 are in great shape. I was able to order some hard to find pots also. I will order from them again.

My order was wonderful. I ordered two chiritas and received three!! Admittedly one of my chiritas was a bit damaged but the crown and roots were completely intact so I am already regrowing it. I received an extra chirita in the same shipment in excellent condition as is the other chirita. I have no complaints here as I received the extra plant as I'm sure they noticed that the one plant was not in good shape. I would order again.

I recently ordered plants from Bluebird Nursery, mostly chiritas and streptocarpus. The plants arrived with shipping damage. Although this could have happened in transit, it appeared to me as though the plants were damaged when they were wrapped at the nursery. One of the streptocarpus failed to thrive and I pitched it into the trash at the end of two weeks rather than take a chance on infecting my other plants. After several months, one of the streps and one of the chiritas finally bloomed, neither plant is what the label says that it is. I had thought so from the beginning, because of the leaves, but waited for a bloom before passing judgement. I won't buy from them again. It just isn't worth it. I will stick with Brennan's Orchids, Lyndon Lyons, and a few ebay sellers that have excellent reputations.

I ordered two plants and 3 leaves. One of the plants that I really wanted wasn't available and they let me know immediately. And they shipped immediately. And my job sent me 75 miles away for training, so I couldn't get to the post office to pick up my box. The box, with my new baby plants, arrived at the post office Nov. 1. And it waited..... because I couldn't GET there before they closed. Normally, my post office puts packages in a big locker and leaves a key in my box - so I CAN get stuff. But not this time..... And then they were closed on Sat. Finally, I got them - on Nov. 5. I was so sure everything was dead and squishy. Brought the box home, opened it up - everything looked GREAT!! Everything still looks great! I am very, very happy and very impressed.

Just made my first purchase from this wonderful company. Found the site very easy to navigate, ordering was a cinch, and the pictures of BOTH blossoms and plants very clear and helpful. Ordered leaves from five varieties and received three other sets for free -- very nice selections, too. Even the outside of the shipping package was delightful; Libby wrote: "Help! Let us out! We need air and water!!" Can't wait to order more in the Spring, and will be sure to tell anyone else interested in African Violets about this gem of a nursery! Thank you so much; I am a VERY satisfied customer.

I have ordered from Bluebird Greenhouse 4 times this year and have been very happy with the plants I've received ... very good size and very healthy. Great communication and fast shipping.

I have ordered twice from this company this year. I have been very pleased with both orders. The second order came today, June 27, 2007. The plants are huge, ready to bloom, and in very good shape. They are packaged very well. This company has been very easy to work with. They have also been very helpful. They are always willing to answer any questions regarding the plants and availabity. The plants arrive 2 days after they have been shipped.

I redeemed a gift certificate with Bluebird and received the order yesterday. Very quick delivery, great packaging, and nice size plants . They even sent a gift plant! Great company! Will be ordering from them again. Lou

I placed three orders between October 10th and November 2nd. All three were shipped on Monday and arrived two days later on Wednesday. I have nothing but praise for this company on quality and packing. I will be ordering again soon.

I was very happy with the quality of plants I ordered from this company. I ordered four different leaf varieties, a plant, and some pots. All came in very good shape, and packaged well. They gave me a bonus plant of one of the leaf varieties that I had ordered as well.

I bought a few leaves to grow new plants. All of the leaves were in great shape and I was given two leaves for most of the ones that I ordered. There were even 2 extra plants that leaves were given as a gift. This was a great first experience with this company and I will definitely be buying again in the future.

I communicated with Jen and Libbie. I received prompt answers. I ordered in February. I was given information that they would be delivered when it was warmer. No problem as I was aware of this. I was sent an email when my plants were shipped (Early April). The package was well prepared, not one leaf was broken. Out of the 5 plants 4 had buds. They sent a free bonus plant. I went to Bluebird today and was quite pleased with their variety of plants. I bought 21 African Violets and some supplies and my experience was very positive. I asked a lot of questions and they answered them promptly. The lady showed me how to groom my plants and how to take the suckers off of my African Violets. I have gotten some wonderful plants from this company. My only issue is that I often get substitutions. They are often out of stock on certain varieties and sometimes the plants are too wet. All have survived nicely though.

I ordered several items from this company. Six plants, some wick and several pots. They arrived promptly and shipping was very cheap.The plants were much bigger than I anticipated. I will definately buy from them again.

I have placed several orders from this wonderful company ! Plants are nice size and packaged with care. My Streptocarpus was also in a 4 " pot blooming with buds :)) Supplies are excellent too ! Placed my first order for 6 african violets with this company in March, before their shipping season started for the North. Communication was good, with prompt confirmation and an update on shipping status. The order was not billed to my credit card until it was shipped. The shipment was extremely well packed: individual 4" pots were bagged and taped in plastic to minimize moisture/soil loss, and the entire plant was wrapped securely in newspaper and cushioned in styro peanuts. Plants were large, healthy, and in bud, with minimal shipping stress. The company even included a bonus plant--in the same color range as the rest of my order! Prices were reasonable, compared with Ebay and other vendors of named varieties. I would happily deal with THIS company again.

For the second time, I ordered plants and leaves from Bluebird. Again, I was very pleased with my order. The violet plants are large compared to the size I usually receive from other vendors. The leaves were very fresh and look great. As an added bonus, I have received gift plant and/or leaves with each of my orders. Packing was great and the notes on the outside of the box indicating that lives plants were in the box and wanted out please caused my postman to stop me as I was driving to hand-deliver them to me! (I have a great postman!) Anyway, I would highly recommend Bluebird as a wonderful vendor for African Violets.
